My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Package

My Pretend Place is a subscription service for children, offering both a quarterly subscription of costumes and theme-related items, and a monthly craft subscription. We received the quarterly costume package in January, which was an astronaut costume and space goodies! It turns out that on the months you don’t receive your quarterly package, they still send out little goody boxes to the kids! This is a review of their in-between / extras box for March.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

The Subscription: My Pretend Place

The Cost: $50 per quarter, shipping included

The Products: Every quarter, My Pretend Place sends a dress-up package that centers on a theme and includes a costume, plus books, crafts, activities, and even food! PLUS, in the months that there is no quarterly box, they send little goody boxes with activities and treats!

Ships to: US only

Ships via: Fed Ex

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Letters

This month wraps up our astronaut theme for the first quarter of 2015. On the left is a letter from Captain Quasar, congratulating my seven-year-old on his achievements as a budding space explorer. On the right is a sheet of instruction on how to have your own DIY astronaut ceremony.

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Certificate

This is a certificate, signed by Captain Quasar, saying that my son has completed his mission training and is ready for space exploration! I will definitely fill this out - my son is the perfect age for certificate collecting.

My Pretend Place Subscription Box Review – March 2015 Recipe

Also included was a recipe to make rocket ships out of fruit! This looks fun and healthy! It's the perfect treat for a new astronaut during his important ceremony.

Verdict: I think My Pretend Place does a great job coming up with activities to keep the kids interested in their costumes and other treats for an entire quarter. The value of the quarterly subscription is already quite good, and these "in-between" packages are sent for free as a bonus! I am impressed with My Pretend Place!
