Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Info

Each box comes with a card detailing the items included.

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Candle

Mundo Murphy's Sea-Bag - Value $6

The Coye Candle Co. Cranberry Candle Tin - Value $8?

This is the second seaweed bath bag I've received recently from a box! I think it's time for me to have a spa-bath day!

This candle is made of all natural soy wax, and I really like the cranberry scent. (I'm estimating the value since they don't sell travel tins on their site).

Bare Bliss Box Subscription Review – December 2014 Toothpaste

doTERRA Fluoride-Free Natural Whitening Toothpaste - Samples 4 g total Value $1

Pura Bela Creme Deodorant - 1 oz Value $5

Pure Natural Diva Radical Organic Facial Serum - Value $12.50? (size not marked)

These toothpaste samples are a little weird - I like to be able to put a cap back on my toothpaste, so these would become one-use samples for me. I like the essential oil scent blend for the toothpaste though.

The Pure Bela Creme Deodorant is one of the best scents I've ever come across for natural deodorants. I guess it's time to give this new-to-me brand a try. (I just hate the natural deodorant application process!)

I like the Pure Natural Diva brand thanks to sampling it through subscription boxes, so I will definitely use all of this serum. (I also really like their natural perfume scents).

Verdict: This box has a value of about $32. I think the value is good for the cost, and I'll use just about everything. I'm not particularly wowed by this box, but it is useful.

What do you think of the December Bare Bliss Box?

has anyone received the email regarding the missing “void beauty” product in the last box yet?

Andi

Yes, but only after I emailed them to ask why I had not received mine yet. That was several weeks ago. You should definitely contact them regarding the code. (Note – the email provides you a redemption code and link their website. You do not get to choose the color you will receive, however.)

ugh, I cant believe that you have to ask for what was promised. so glad I canceled this box. thank you!

I was not pleased with this month’s box. I was hoping for at least one item without fragrance. Some of us cannot use products with scents. I probably will not order another box.

just an FYI, xylitol is EXTREMELY TOXIC for dogs!

“Even small amounts of xylitol can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), seizures, liver failure or even death in dogs.”

ETA: as little as 1-2 pieces of sugar free gum can kill a dog.

I found it strange that doTERRA is in the box. Other than that, I would had like this box if I received it. I’m going to wait a few months to see what happens before deciding whether to resub.

doTerra is an MLM. Seems like an odd choice giving this box’s business motto. Also I don’t consider xylitol natural as it needs several man made chemical to achieve the final product.

I highly recommend LaVanilla brand natural deodorant. It actually comes in a roll on! No more getting pit paste under my fingernails and having to smear it on my underarms with my hands. And it smells fabulous. It’s kind of nice to catch your own, um, scent and be pleasantly surprised, lol. I tried and mostly liked the Meow Meow Tweet brand from PV last month and liked that it has a creamier consistency making for easier application, but it’s still not very convenient to apply. I would love to see this sub succeed since I love subs that feature lesser known, indie brands. But the business end of this sub is kind of an unpredictable hot mess in terms of fulfilling promised value/product numbers, sending all of the items intended for each month together, shipping all boxes on time, communicating reliably with customers and in general being consistently responsive to all subscribers whenever someone emails for assistance. The hit or miss/flying by the seat of the pants vibe has kept me from subbing so far. I figure my life is stressful enough without having to chase down another company to get what I paid for.

LaVanilla is my current deodorant – I love it! So far I’ve only tried the vanilla lemon, but I’m guessing I’d like all the scents.

I use the regular vanilla and just bought the lemon vanilla, I like that scent better. One deo that is similar in application to Lavanilla that I really like is by 100%pure they have Lemongrass deordorant and Peppermint deodorant. They sell for $11 on the 100% pure site.

I love that Bare Bliss Box often showcases smaller companies. My favorite product from December is the PuraBela deodorant. I’m a big fan of the Meow Meow Tweet deodorant from Petit Vour’s December box, but PuraBela works just as well. It has a similar, creamy consistency which is easy to spread, and a fantastically addictive (and long-lasting!) scent. I’ve already bought the Meow Meow Tweet one, but also plan to buy the PuraBela once I receive the coupon code so I can switch between the two. (Still waiting on that code, two weeks after I received my box….)

While I was intrigued with trying a natural toothpaste, I’m not a fan of the cinnamon flavor or aftertaste from the xylitol used as a sweetener in this brand. My white tea and ginger candle is just lovely, and I know I’ll get good use out of it. The Pure Natural Diva serum absorbs quickly and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, but I’m not sure I will be purchasing the full size anytime soon with so many other serums needing to be used first. I almost never take baths, but will hold onto the seaweed soak for one of those days when I feel the need.

Altogether, I’m pretty happy with this box. I just wish they would improve consistency in both their shipping and delivery of the coupon codes after the boxes are delivered.

Xylitol isnt just a sweetener, in many natural non-flouride toothpastes it is a main cavity fighting ingredient

Thanks for sharing about the xylitol – that’s good to know!

Consistency is the main reason why I like Petit Vour, been subscribing for months, and even though the value is lower then some of the boxes stay the same, so even though I might like one box more then the other at least I know I can expect the same quality items from month to month.

Reminds me of Eco Emi and Petit Vour, both of which I have cancelled. Their samples are way too small for my liking. I’m loving Kloverbox much better.

I love Klover Box! I also think Goodebox is genius. Have you tried it?

I’ve been reading your reviews for a while about this box. Hoping that something will intrigue me enough to want to sign up, so far I’m not getting the “wow” need to get this box immediately feeling. – Hope the box gets better or more interesting.
