Your Bijoux Box Jewelry Subscription Box Review – Nov 2014 Box

Your Bijoux Box is a monthly jewelry subscription box for women. With every box you get 3 pieces of jewelry picked by Your Bijoux Box stylists. (This is not a customized box – everyone gets the same 3 pieces, however I believe you can request no earrings if you email them).

Your Bijoux Box sent us this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Here is a closer look at the detail:

I like the green/gold filigree accents - it keeps it from looking too similar to a few of my other Bijoux Box pieces. I'm a fan of the color combos here too.

Aubergine Marquise Bracelet

I know they aren't for everyone, but I like stretchy bracelets a lot because they are so easy to put on! I like the colors of this one, but I'm a little disappointed in the white elastic threads showing on outward facing part of this bracelet:

It may be nitpicking, but it caught my eye.

Elise Wrapped Bracelet/Necklace

This is my favorite item in the box. But I think it looks much better as a wrap bracelet than as a necklace. Please excuse my attempt at hand/wrist modeling:

Verdict: With the exception of my minor issue with the stretch bracelet, I really like all the items this month. (Which is pretty typical for me - I tend to like the styles Your Bijoux Box picks out). What do you think of their pieces this month? Are you going to wear Elise piece as a necklace or as a bracelet?

I had a problem with sizing on these items. The Aubergine Marquise Bracelet was so tight it cut off the circulation and left indentations! And I can’t wrap the Elise bracelet three times around my wrist to make it work as a bracelet (and I don’t like it as a necklace). Never thought I had gigantic wrists before LOL as everything else has always worked.

I am afraid most items are secured in lots from china. Beaware before buying

Interesting link – The similar bracelet is on sale for $11.95. Which would still make this box a good deal.

Unfortunately I’ve found that it is tough to get away from the made in china items completely. Even ( some ) of the handmade items made in america items, still might have packing made in china, or something in the item made in china, even though the item could be made here. I try my best to buy made in America, yet it is tough to find 100% made in America items.

When it comes to beauty items I prefer products made in Europe or even Korea, since I’ve seen the quality in items in memeboxes.

I agree with not liking the elastic show on the stretchy bracelet, cheapens the look.

I loved the other 2 pieces though.

Liz, not sure where to ask this but since someone else mentioned about the Jewelmint Vip box not continuing , I was wondering if that is true? I happen to love that box as well!

Yea looks like it 🙁 It’s a shame because I thought that subscription was much better than their mystery boxes.

Liz: Did you see the 1 time box JewelMint has on sale? till Nov 20th or till it gets sold out COLLECTIVE STYLE SURPRISE: OLIVE YEW
$29.99 – The jewelry looks nice and delicate. What I’m liking about the box is the rose gold that looks like it might be in there. Which is fun for the holidays. I’ve always liked rosegold, fun color.

I’ve been waffling on getting a jewelry box for the past 6 months. I can’t decide between this box, wantable, and jewelmint …. I’m looking for a box with interesting statement pieces, good quality, great value. I like the Bijoux Box yet I’m looking for something a little bit less glitzy — Anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks

ive gotten bijou, cate and chloe and wantable and i think wantable is by far the best value. I cancelled my bijou because i thought the pieces were too boho and tbh a little cheap. Cate and chloe was too pricey for what I got. I like wantable becasue its customized for you with a styple and preference quiz (ie: if you dont want bracelets, you NEVER get bracelets) you get 4 pieces and mostly ive liked them all. if you dont something , you can send it back and you get a credit which is awesome.

I’ve been thinking about getting wantable for a while. It so hard to decide on to get it or not, because the pieces are customizable. So I’m wondering if i will like it or not. How is the quality of the necklaces you’ve gotten.

Jewelmint VIP monthly box is no more after this months. 🙁 They do have amazing jewelery though. I love the necklaces I bought from them.

I may have to try this. After your last review of jewelmint I immediately subscribed because I love everything they have….only to find out this is their last month for their VIP box and they won’t be doing it anymore 🙁 🙁 🙁 I was really looking forward to them. But this might be a good replacement for that one next month.

I think the wrap bracelet is my all time favorite piece of theirs. I know I will where it constantly. I’m also in the stretch bracelet love camp. They are so easy to wear.

I agree on the stretch bracelet — you can get clear elastic/rubber stuff to make items like that. Would be so much less obvious. Although I’m really in the camp of “no stretch bracelets.” I used to make them, years ago, and now every time I wear one of the older bracelets I made, the elastic breaks. I’m sticking to bangles and things with clasps from now on.
