Mantry Subscription Box Review & $25 Coupon – Sept 2014 Nonnas

Nonna's Smoky Sauce with Roasted Eggplant & Fresh Parsley - Value $8

Race City Sauce Works The Green Fairy Absinthe & Herb Vinaigrette - Value $6

We've tried Nonna's sauces before thanks to subscription boxes and they are delicious. I can't wait to try this Roasted Eggplant version! And I'm very intrigued by this Absinthe vinaigrette - if you've tried it let me know what you think of it!

Mantry Subscription Box Review & $25 Coupon – Sept 2014 Sausage

Schaller & Weber Garlic & Cracked Pepper Cervelat - Value $10

Aux Delices des Bois Pancetta - Value $8?

My husband ate this sausage the day Mantry arrived and gave me this feedback for the review, "A+." We haven't tried the Pancetta yet, but I'm guessing it will be even better than the prechopped version I buy at Trader Joes!

Mantry Subscription Box Review & $25 Coupon – Sept 2014 Pasta

Rip van Wafels - Value $10

Sfoglini Pasta Shop Everything Bagel Fusilli - Value $8

We've sampled both of these brands before and my husband loves them both. The Everything Bagel flavor is new to us though - I need to figure out what to pair it with!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $50. As always, the value isn't where I'd like it to be, but I am very impressed with the curation of the products. Everything is gourmet-quality and delicious.

What do you think of the September 2014 Mantry?

As a long time Mantry subscriber, this was one of my favorites, and the Mantry recipe for the pasta, sauce and pancetta was ABSOLUTELY my favorite! I’ve tried to find these products and haven’t been able to yet (the sauce is available online).

For some reason, I can’t get into the food subscription boxes. I always think if I wanted stuff like this I could go to TJ Maxx or Homegoods. My 2 cents but I understand if you’re on a restricted diet or for gift purposes.

Mantry does send high quality, unusual/indie brand items, so I appreciate that. But I won’t pay full price for this since the value doesn’t ever come close to the cost. Sometimes it’s 75% and once it was below 50%. Curation only gives so much value. But the food is super yummy!
