Snap Kitchen is beloved by customers all throughout the U.S., as it offers a wide range of delicious meals that are crafted with the highest quality ingredients possible and sustainably sourced. It even offers a rotational menu that’s designed by expert chefs under the guidance of in-house nutritionists. Snap Kitchen’s mission is to empower people who are on the go with easy access to nutritious food that fuels their productivity and promotes optimal health.

How Does Snap Kitchen Work?

Planning your weekly meals has never been easier! All you have to do is go online (via desktop or mobile app) and choose between a 6 or 12 meal plan. Once you’ve selected your meal quantity, you’ll then be asked to fill your box with the meals that look best. The only difficult part of the entire process is having to choose between all of the amazing meals they have to offer!

To make the selection process easier, you can use the filter to pick meals that adhere to certain diets, such as paleo or keto, and then pick out the options that fit your desired health goals or whatever your taste buds desire most. Following this, all you have to do is confirm your cart and place your order.

Who Should Use Snap Kitchen?

It’s hard to imagine a single person who wouldn’t love Snap Kitchen! However, we think its meal delivery service is ideal for people who are on-the-go, families who have picky eaters, or for adults who simply need a break from the hassle of cooking after a grueling workweek.

Does Snap Kitchen have an app?

The Snap Kitchen: Meal Delivery app is available for both iOS and Android. Customers can use the app to order meals, explore nutritional facts and key ingredients, receive alerts for new items, get updates on current order status, and access SnapFunds rewards.

Snap Kitchen Menu

Something absolutely wonderful about Snap Kitchen is that it offers a rotating menu, and it constantly adds new meal options to its menu. Most entrees range from 300-600 calories, and nutritional information is provided for all meals when filling your box. You can even filter through meal options by selecting the following options:

  • Total calories
  • Protein source

Snap Kitchen ensures to offer something for everyone as it offers diet-specific meals, and all of its entrees are free of gluten, soy, artificial preservatives, added hormones, and artificial sweeteners — talk about clean eating! Since all of its meals are fresh, most entrees have a shelf life of 4-7 days but can be frozen and enjoyed at a later time.

Once you place an order, you’re automatically enrolled in its weekly subscription program. This means Snap Kitchen will charge your card on file once weekly. However, you can skip a week or cancel at any point before your specific menu is locked for the week. The good news is that there is absolutely no penalty for skipping a week or modifying your menu! This means you can change your menu each week and your subscription can be tailored to whatever your tastes are.

Snap Kitchen Shipping

Snap Kitchen ships all of its meals fresh - not frozen - but have no fear, everything is kept insulated throughout the entire process through the use of liners and frozen gel packs. In fact, the type of packaging and transportation methods used by the company ensures that your meals will remain safe and fresh for the full 48 hours spent in transit and the remaining time spent outside of your doorstep (up to 10 hours). Generally, FedEx or UPS will ship your order and Snap Kitchen will provide you with your tracking information so that you can keep a close watch on your box’s journey home. You can expect your meal kit box to arrive between the hours of 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM throughout the business week.

My Snap Kitchen Review

After viewing all of the incredible meal options and reading extremely favorable customer reviews, I decided to try out Snap Kitchen myself!

At the time of ordering my meals, I was running keto temporarily to correct some blood sugar issues I was having, thus, I ordered 6 meals from its Keto-Friendly meal options.

Here is my honest review of the following meals that Snap Kitchen sent me to try!

Snap Kitchen Keto-Friendly Meals

I decided to order the following 6 meals from Snap Kitchen’s keto-friendly and low-carb selections: Ranch Burger, Bruschetta Chicken, Naked Beef, Naked Chicken, Romesco Chicken, Almond Crusted Salmon. Each of these meals contained between 300-600 calories per serving and provided anywhere from 26-39 grams of protein and 10-52 grams of fat. Better yet, all of the meals had 23 grams of carbohydrates or less which made them easy to incorporate into my ketogenic diet!

Let’s now take a closer look at the breakdown of the nutritional values of each meal along with what they looked like after heating and my overall rating of the meals based upon taste, ingredients, and nutritional value.

My Favorite Snap Kitchen Meal

My #1 pick out of the meals I tried was the Almond Crusted Salmon!

I thought the selection of vegetables paired with the generous coating of almonds blended together perfectly with the natural richness of the salmon.

My husband and I totally fought over the last few bites of this meal!

My Honest Feedback of Snap Kitchen

Although I loved almost everything about Snap Kitchen, I have the following suggestions for the company:

  • Customers who prefer to eat a pescatarian-based diet generally prefer wild-caught seafood over farm-raised. Not only is the taste much better, but this option is much safer and reduces the risk of bacterial contamination.
  • Although I’m not vegan, there is certainly a need for meal prep companies to create vegan-specific dishes and meal plans as this customer base is rapidly growing.
  • There should be more options that are tailored towards the following health conditions: diabetic, heart-healthy, low sodium, high blood pressure/cholesterol.
  • I was somewhat disappointed with the serving size of the vegetables that were included with my meals. Don’t get me wrong, they tasted absolutely great - I was just sad that there were only a few bites of them.

Aside from these recommendations, I thought Snap Kitchen offered an incredible selection and that the meals were indeed fresh and delicious!

Is Snap Kitchen worth it?

No doubt that Snap Kitchen offers one of the best meal delivery services within the United States! Not only does the company offer a wide selection of meals, everything they have to offer is fresh, nutrient-dense, and tastes wonderful. I would totally order Snap Kitchen’s meals again and look forward to trying out some of its other options in the near future!

What did the food actually look like? This review would be better if the pictures weren’t marketing images from the company. As is it’s more of an advertisement.

I agree. It would have been nice to hear about the taste and texture of all the meals too. It doesn’t seem like there is anything here that we couldn’t find ourselves on the Snap Kitchen website.
