Keto can be a wonderful, life-changing diet for many individuals who are looking to accelerate their weight loss or improve their overall health. However, it can seem incredibly overwhelming at the start, and when push comes to shove you may feel that this drastic shift in your diet seems like way too much of a challenge, both financially and mentally, for you to handle on your own.

Luckily, following a keto diet doesn’t actually require you to break the bank and doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, keto can be cost-effective and quite enjoyable if you make the right choices and use a meal subscription service like Factor to help you out along the way. Factor is one of the few meal subscription services available today that actually focuses on providing you with truly keto meals (not just “low-carb”) that are nutrient-dense and affordable.

Here, I’ll give you a quick look at how Factor streamlines the process of following a keto diet and saves you from having to do the legwork of shopping, meal prep, and running out of keto-friendly options at home.

How to Embrace a Keto Diet Without Doing the Legwork Through Factor

Step 1 - Select A Plan That Works For You

Factor lets you choose as few as 4 and as many as 18 meals when signing up. Basically, you’ve got as much coverage for lunch and dinner as you want which can be incredibly helpful when transitioning to keto for the first time.

Rather than having to cook most of your meals from scratch while receiving only a handful of supplemental meals, you can instead fully immerse yourself in Factor and let them cover your bases completely. FYI, you can always adjust your subscription once you’ve become more comfortable with making keto dishes and get the hang of it.

Step 2 - Choose Your Meals

Once you’ve decided how much coverage you’ll need, you can then pick out your weekly meals. Factor typically offers at least 8-10 strictly keto meals each week and clearly distinguishes them from the other types of meals it offers - no guessing needed and no having to worry about breaking keto accidentally!

And while you may be worried about the meals being bland, I can assure you they’re not. Each week you’ll be able to choose from amazing options like Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken with Zucchini Noodles, Keto Chorizo Chili with Shredded Cheese & Scallion Sour Cream, and Pesto Salmon with Creamed Spinach & Tomato Butter Haricot Verts.

The best part? Everything is already cooked and only requires heating.

Step 3 - Pick Out Add-Ons For Extra Food

If having all your main meals covered wasn’t enough, Factor also offers options for breakfast, sides, drinks, desserts, and bundles - something that practically no other keto-friendly food subscription service does. This is by far my favorite part of using Factor because, let’s face it, even though you may be on keto, you’re still human and will eventually run into cravings that standard meals can’t fulfill.

You can choose to add on sweets like Chocolate Brownie Keto Shake and Cinnamon Roll Fat Bombs or pick delectable sides like Poblano Cauliflower Mash and Cheesy Zucchini or Keto Gouda Cauliflower Grits and Green Bean Casserole.

Financially challenging? There’s nothing financially challenging about a keto diet. What’s financially challenging is having meal services prepare your food for you.
