First Day Vitamins Review

Organic Gummy Vitamins For Women And Children

If you’re like most parents, you probably understand how much of an obstacle it is to find a high-quality multivitamin that your kid will actually enjoy taking. Some parents give in to the harsh demands of their picky eaters and begrudgingly give them the typical Flinstone gummies rather than have to face another full-fledged tantrum or screaming match.

However, becoming lax in this area of a child’s life can potentially lead to harm as many of the leading brands for children’s vitamins contain ingredients such as glucose syrup, color dyes, folic acid, or allergens. Don’t fret too much, however, as we’ve finally come across the BEST new gummy vitamin that’s changing the lives of both women and children!

First Day Vitamins has developed the ultimate gummy vitamin that children will beg to take each morning. That's not all - it even offers a women's gummy vitamin that's just as amazing.

Here, we'll take a closer look at each of the gummy multivitamins offered by First Day and I'll even give you the scoop on my own experience taking both products.

What is First Day Vitamins?

First Day Vitamins is the premier brand for gummy vitamins that both women and children are guaranteed to adore. Its gummy multivitamins are sourced from organic fruits and vegetables, and are completely free of fillers, allergens, and other harmful chemicals that many other brands may contain. As a family-centric brand, the company is passionate about helping both children and women become their best through enhancing their nutrition and supporting a healthy lifestyle.

How does First Day Vitamins work?

The process is quite simple - all you need to do is go online and click the tab for either Kids or Womens (or both!) to choose which product you want to order. You can then choose to purchase a monthly subscription or select a one-time purchase option instead. If you choose to go with the subscription option you’ll end up saving $5 per bottle and will also save more money in the long-term since you’ll receive refill pouches instead of having to purchase additional one-time use containers.

Who should use First Day Vitamins?

First Day Vitamins offers two products: Kids Daily Essential and Women's Daily Supercharge. Kids Daily Essential is designed for girls and boys ages 3 to 13 whereas Women's Daily Supercharge should be taken by women ages 18 and older.

What ingredients are in First Day Vitamins?

You’ll be relieved to know that First Day prioritizes the use of organic ingredients wherever it can in its vitamins. Ingredients including the fruit and vegetable blend, sunflower oil, tapioca, and sugar are all certified organic.

Here’s the breakdown of the main ingredients contained in each multivitamin:

  • Organic Fruit and Veggie Blend: broccoli, broccoli sprouts, tomato, carrot, spinach, kale, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, tart cherry, pomegranate, cranberry
  • Other Ingredients: tapioca syrup, cane sugar, water, pectin, citric acid, natural colors, natural flavors, organic fruit and vegetable blend, sunflower oil, carnauba wax

What makes First Day Vitamins different?

There are several attributes of First Day Vitamins that make it stand out from its competition. One of the major benefits of using these gummy vitamins is they're flavored by nature only, and do not contain any artificial flavors or sweeteners. Each gummy’s flavor is naturally extracted from fruits like strawberries and oranges, and its coloring is derived from carrot and black carrot juices.

Another key feature of First Day is that its vitamins contain up to 80% less sugar than most brands, yet somehow taste just as good! Each gummy contains only 1g of sugar which is equivalent to the amount that’s found in 2 small grapes (in case you were wondering).

What’s more, First Day only uses vitamins in their most bioavailable form, which makes it easier for your body to process and put to work. Examples of this include the use of activated B vitamins including folate, vitamin B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate), and vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) as well as vitamin K2 (menaquinone-7) over vitamin K1 (phylloquinone).

Finally, First Day is 100% vegan-friendly and is made with pectin instead of gelatin.

First Day Vitamins Pricing

First Day offers both one-time purchases and subscriptions for its vitamins.

A one-time purchase of either Kids Daily Essential or Women's Daily Supercharge costs $35 per bottle. However, if you sign up for a monthly subscription the price drops down to $30 per bottle.

If you have more than 1 child First Day offers additional discounts. For instance, if you sign up for a subscription for 2 children you'll receive $3 off each bottle and if you choose the option for 8 children each bottle drops down in price to $22.

First Day Vitamins Payment Options

First Day accepts the following major debit and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, JCB, Discover, and Diners Club. Customers may also use PayPal to make online payments and in some cases, purchases may qualify for HSA or FSA depending on the healthcare provider and employer.

First Day Vitamins Shipping

First Day Vitamins currently offers shipping throughout the United States and Canada. Most orders are processed within 2-3 business days and each customer will receive a shipping confirmation email with their tracking number. Packages are usually delivered within 3-8 business days.

My First Day Vitamins Review

I got to try out both versions of First Day Vitamins! Here's my honest experience on taking each product:

Women's Daily Supercharge
5/5 stars

First Day women's vitamins red orange yellow

I’ve avoided gummy vitamins in the past, as most store-bought brands contain high concentrations of sugar or use sugar alcohols. On top of that, most contain subpar concentrations of the vitamins and minerals that are essential to women’s health. Women's Daily Supercharge, however, is quite exceptional.

I was amazed at how sweet and fruity the vitamins tasted even though they only contained 2 grams of sugar per daily serving. I was also quite shocked to see that most nutrients were provided in their optimal forms (i.e. activated B vitamins, vitamin K2, vitamin D3) and served in adequate concentrations.

Perhaps my absolute favorite part of taking these vitamins was knowing that all major ingredients were organic, and all forms of flavoring were 100% natural. Overall, this product totally changed my opinion of gummy vitamins and I highly recommend trying this product out if you can't stomach liquid or capsule multivitamins.

Kids Daily Essential
5/5 stars

First Day Vitamins for kids yellow red

I figured that the kid's version of First Day Vitamins would taste just as good as the women's, but they were actually better! I absolutely loved their flavor and these gummies tasted as close to candy as you could get. They had an easy-to-chew texture that didn't stick to the roof of your mouth and were a sweet treat in the mornings.

I can’t imagine a child who wouldn’t love this product and I think that most children, regardless of how picky they are, would enjoy taking these vitamins.

What I Loved About First Day Vitamins

First off, finding a gummy vitamin that’s both low in sugar and organic is incredibly rare when you consider the products that crowd most store shelves! It’s also quite difficult to find a brand that’s equally committed to sustainable practices as it is to creating a superior product. Yet, First Day accomplishes both tasks!

Considering the fact that women and children should use a multivitamin to complement their diet, not make up for a nutrient-poor one, I think this product fits the bill just fine as it contains several essential micronutrients that may be missing in adequate quantities in most food sources. Also, First Day is one of the only brands I’ve seen that’s been able to pull off using less than 5 grams of sugar in its product while also maintaining a sweet flavor.

What I Didn’t Like About First Day Vitamins

Overall, I think that First Day Vitamins has definitely developed one of the best gummy vitamin products around. However, I do have a few critiques:

  • This product is not suitable for use as a prenatal vitamin as the folate and vitamin D concentrations would need to be higher and it’s missing choline.
  • It's missing other essential nutrients such as iron, iodine, and selenium.
  • Some moms may prefer a product that also contains omega-3 fats for cognitive enhancement and to protect against inflammation.
  • Some children (or women, for that matter) may want additional flavor options.

My Verdict – Is First Day Vitamins Worth It?

Yes, First Day Vitamins is absolutely worth it! If you're looking for a gummy multivitamin that both you and your child will enjoy taking each day, then this is most certainly the product you should get. Overall, First Day's gummy vitamins are much cleaner and healthier than competing brands, and offer a wonderful way to supplement your diet and active lifestyle. Although some women and children may need to supplement other nutrients separately, this brand offers an incredibly high-quality gummy multivitamin that helps fill in nutritional gaps and support better living.

Don’t agree at all. Our experience with hiya has been fantastic and our neighbors say the same thing.

Y’all should write about hiya for kids. It’s what our pediatrician suggested we give and it’s what our kids ask for now.

Yes! Hiya is where it’s at. Did you cover them yet?

I tried this last month for my son. He is on the spectrum, ADHD and impulsive control disorder. I can notice the changes in his behavior. I will continue to use first day because this is the only vitamin he did not refuse to take.

I always forget to take my vitamins. My sister takes FD women’s gummies and tried them, they’re yummy! It has now become my morning treat after having breakfast!

Hiya > first day. It’s not even close and we’ve tried both. What a joke of an article.

We tried First Day for my two daughters at the same time we tried Hiya. I like the branding for First Day and it doesn’t taste bad (though not great) yet my kids DEFINITELY prefer the taste and experience of Hiya. Then we asked our functional doctor to confirm and he said Hiya is his go-to vitamin for kids so that made me feel good about our choice. As a result, we probably won’t be using First Day again yet like what they’re doing. Thanks for this article though!

We agree. Our friends had First Day and we have Hiya so we did a swap. Hiya is a better all-around vitamin with better ingredients, plus it has zero added sugar and it’s not a gummy — which is a huge win. I heard the CEO on a podcast and he seems to care a lot.

We found that Hiya ingredient were not as high quality as First Day. Our doctor recommended First Day given their ingredient formulation was based on RDA which means that most brands like Hiya over supplement which can be just as bad as under supplementing. :O
