My Peet’s Coffee Review—Freshly Roasted Beans Direct to Your Door

I’ll always have a soft spot for Peet’s. Their coffee evokes a lot of happy memories for me, and I’m always happy when a bag of their beans lands on my doorstep. Their beans often skew a bit more heavily roasted than I might seek out on my own (my go-to coffees are all light to medium roast), but they’re consistently tasty and ALWAYS very fresh. The single origin subscription is a great way to sample coffee from around the world, and it’s fun to see which country will feature each month.

Value-wise, a 1-bag subscription costs $17 with free US shipping. Compared to the retail price, this is a savings of $0.95 on each bag of coffee, and you’re also saving on the cost of shipping that you’d pay for a one-time retail order in the Peet’s shop. If you are a known fan of Peet’s, have more than 1-2 coffee-drinkers in your house, or perhaps if you’re using a standard coffee maker every day, you might want to consider signing up for additional bags per delivery. 2 bags per delivery costs $32 (save $2) and 3 bags per delivery costs $45 (save $6). This box doesn’t provide a particularly high-value month-to-month experience, but that’s not uncommon with food and drink subscriptions. To save the most, consider the 3 bag option and use the coupon below to maximize your savings on your first month.

Peet’s Coffee Subscription Review + 30% Off Coupon – January 2021

This is my second shipment from Peet’s Coffee Single Origin Series, and I really enjoyed this month’s coffee. The beans I received are a solid representation of what I’ve come to expect from Peet’s, and (while I didn’t exactly agree with Peet’s tasting notes) I found this coffee interesting and tasty. The beans were extremely fresh, and I’m looking forward to experimenting with different brewing methods in the days to come!

"So far so good, but we just started it"
Dec 9, 2021
I just started my subscription after winning the contest. Our first batch of beans for December is the Arabica Mocha. My husband and I are avid coffee drinkers, but he will actually drink it black, so I enlisted him to help me review it (I usually drown my coffee in milk). This particular blend was on the sweeter side. My husband felt it worked as a dessert coffee, or would be good to dip doughnuts in. I think it went really well mixed with chocolate milk since it had that natural mocha flavor. The smell was amazing, but I've always been partial to the smell of coffee, even before I started drinking it. The packages are a lot bigger than I expected and I think we will certainly get value out of it.

"Additional Reviews of all of the types we have recieved so far"
Apr 13, 2022
Updated Reviews: Garunda Blend: Contains Tobacco notes, and you can definately smell it. I cannot stand cigarette or cigar smell so this was a big no on smell alone. I took one little taste and it was not mything at all. My husband says it had a kick, and wasn't bad, but as non tobacco users, its not something we would seek out again. I will be looking to pass the second bag along to a friend. Espresso Forte: Great smell, very tasty. Very strong, and flavorful. My husband doesn't normally like espresso, but he also enjoyed this one. Second favorite so far Organic French Roast: Classic, good, flavor was to be expected. Middle of the pack so far. Gaia Organc Blend: Stronger than the others (except the espresso), nice dark taste. however, the smell is not as appealing as some of the others.
