How EveryPlate Works
In order to start receiving your weekly meals, you’ll first need to select which type of meals you want from the following options:
- ClassicPlate - Includes meat, seafood, and veggie options
- VeggiePlate - Focussed on plant-based meals
- FamilyPlate - Includes kid-approved favorites
- EasyPlate - Focused on meals that are ready to eat within 30 minutes or less
After you’ve selected which type of meal you want, you’ll then need to choose the number of people you’re planning to cook for and how many meals per week you want. You can choose to order for 2 or 4 people and select between 3-5 meals per week. Prior to selecting your meals, you will first need to checkout and then you can go back into your online account and select specific meals from 16 options that rotate on a weekly basis.
Following checkout, you should receive your first box within one business week and will be sent your meal kit subscription box on a weekly basis going forward. Your meal skit subscription box will arrive carefully packed and insulated, allowing your meals to remain fresh up to 48 hrs post delivery in case you’re not home when they deliver. Each box comes with all of the ingredients you need to make each meal and there will also be recipe cards with step-by-step instructions.
If you need to skip an upcoming week or cancel your subscription, simply log on to your online account and adjust your subscription settings up to 5 days before your next delivery is scheduled.

Although it's not the best meal kit subscription for certain diets and lifestyles, it remains a favorite meal kit subscription service among both kids and adults.
Is EveryPlate Worth It?
If you’re more concerned with affordability over ingredients or adhering to certain diets, then EveryPlate is worth it. EveryPlate is nearly half the cost of similar meal kit subscription boxes and still offers a great selection of options for types of meals and taste variety.
How EveryPlate Compares to Other Top Meal Subscriptions
EveryPlate VS Blue Apron: Blue Apron is also a meal kit subscription box that requires customers to cook their meals from scratch. It offers 4 different types of meal plans and allows customers to purchase for 2 or 4 people. In addition to its standard meal kit plans, Blue Apron also sells wine, spices, kitchen accessories, and additional options for specialized meal kits as a part of its online market. Blue Apron is more expensive than EveryPlate and its meals start at around $7.49. Altogether, Blue Apron tends to be a customer favorite and offers slightly better options for meals, however, Every Plate is best for those on a budget.
EveryPlate VS Green Chef: Green Chef is a recipe-based meal kit subscription service that builds its meals around fresh, sustainable, and organic ingredients. It allows customers to choose 3 or 4 meals per week for 2,4, or 6 people. Unlike Every Plate, it offers meal options for keto, paleo, vegetarian, and vegan diets but also has standard options available as well. Green Chef’s meals average around $5.75-$6.50. If you prefer eating organic foods and adhere to a strict diet, then Green Chef is a better option for you. However, if cost is more of a priority, then EveryPlate is the subscription to go with.
EveryPlate VS Factor: Factor offers a pre-made meal subscription service that only requires heating prior to eating. Customers can choose to order 6, 8, or 12 meals per week and select from among 20+ weekly options. Factor is more expensive and its prices start at $11.50 per meal, but it offers many more options for strict diets and is a great option for people who have limited time to cook. EveryPlate is again, the most budget-friendly option and is also better for people who want to cook their meals.
