Opening The Box

Margot Elena is responsible for some of my very favorite body products. While I am no stranger to the brand and its aesthetic, I am never prepared for how devastatingly beautiful its contents are.

After a summer filled with days that were either too hot or rainy, I am ready to embrace the cozy vibes of fall.

Margot Elena's fall collection boasts transformative and radiant scents that will engage your senses and help you feel your best this fall.

Here's What's Inside

ToykoMilk Dark After Midnight Eau De Parfum — Retail Value $56

I've already instinctively painted my nails warmer, spicier shades, so I guess I am due to adjust my perfume for autumn as well. I have been a huge fan of TokyoMilk's Dark line for many years, but After Midnight is a new release in this collection. It is such a complex fragrance, opening up with moonflower and dried flora, and as it dries down, the bitter orange and cardamom come through. You're left with a velvety, spicy fragrance that exudes a dark & mysterious vibe that TokyoMilk pulls off so well.

The Cottage Greenhouse Wild Lavender& Violet Body Wash - Retail Value $25

Cocoa butter and coconut oil cleanse and quench your skin without stripping its natural oils in this beautiful shower oil. It has a liquid texture that builds to a gentle lather, leaving skin lightly scented, clean, and hydrated. It is a godsend for dry skin; not only do I feel moisturized after towel drying, but I can't get enough of the sweet lavender and violet fragrance.

Pardon My French Repartee Notebook Trio - Listed Value $19

This set of three notebooks came in time for the start of the new school year. Not for my children to use, of course, because, to quote Miss Agatha Trunchbull, they're "much too good for children."

I kid, but I will be the one to use these beautiful blue books to keep track of weekly happenings, volunteer hours, etc. The pages aren't lined, but the dotted pages are perfect for bullet points and lists, my best attempt at keeping myself organized.

TokyoMilk Daring Door Hanger - Exclusive! - Listed Value $10

I love this jazzed-up version of a door hanger. It is cheeky and cute, and it gets the point across.

The sparkling bee, gold ribbon detail, and tassel add class to what is usually a mundane accessory. I will definitely be taking this to the beach next summer; my in-laws will get a kick out of my fancy-pants and straight-to-the-point signage.

Lollia Dream Handcreme - Retail Value $29

Lollia's iconic hand creme in Dream has such a familiar fragrance. It is soft and comforting; it actually reminds me of how my mom smelled when I was growing up. Linden, white tea, bergamot, and honeysuckle combine inside this gorgeous, elaborate metal tube to make this clean yet sweet, velvety handcreme. Macadamia nut and avocado oils keep your hands hydrated and smooth hours after application.

TokyoMilk Mini Bubble Bath in Honey & The Moon - Exclusive! - Listed Value $24

I love having an excuse to take a bath. I have zero notes on this perfect product. The packaging is stunning, from the bee print on the back of the label to the cork and wooden lid detail. Stunning. The Honey & The Moon fragrance is sweet yet elevated, rich with notes of honey, sugared violet, jasmine, and sandalwood. I poured a little into my running bath, and I loved the bubbly suds it created, while the room was quickly filled with its indulgent aroma. 10/10!

The Cottage Greenhouse Cucumber Travel Handcreme - Retail Value $14

I am never caught without a hand cream while I am on the go. This fits perfectly in my bag, and it has a refreshing cucumber & honey fragrance that I can't stop sniffing. The Cottage Greenhouse makes an amazing hand cream; they use avocado oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil for hydration that lasts and sinks into the skin almost immediately.

Library of Flowers Moonlight & Fireflies Candle - Exclusive! - Listed Value $18

Sweet clementine and honeysuckle draw you into this scent, and they are complemented by blood orange, sugared lemon, sun-kissed satsuma, and fresh white grapefruit. I could douse myself in this alluringly soft citrus scent every day and never get tired of the fragrance. I am impressed by how quickly this hand-poured, all-natural soy wax blend wafted its gorgeous scent across the first floor of my house.

TokyoMilk Follow Your Dreams Stationery Soap - Retail Value $14

Bars of fine, French triple-milled shea butter soap make such lovely gifts, and I know this one will be the perfect teacher gift when the holidays roll around. The library card detail inside the packaging was the icing on the cake! The soap is subtly perfumed, which I think would be pleasing for any recipient, no matter their scent preferences.

Key Takeaways

When I unboxed this quarter's Margot Elena Box, I couldn't believe how jam-packed it was! Their packaging is so lovely; it really just felt like a never-ending gift box from my best friend. There were so many fragranced items ranging from fruity to dark & sultry to classically clean scents, and I love them all. Margot Elena curates the perfect treat-yourself moment with items that look beautiful and will make you feel beautiful too. My favorite items this month are the exclusive bubble bath and body wash, which I've already considered purchasing for a holiday gift (for myself).

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.
