First Impressions
One of my favorite things about the IPSY Original subscription is the excitement of discovering a new bag design every month. I’ve been a subscriber for years, and the fun, creative styles—along with the amazing products inside—keep me coming back for more.
To celebrate the arrival of August, we received a pretty bandana-style pink bag with burgundy detailing. Complete with a gold-and-burgundy paisley zipper pull and a pastel pink interior, this bag brings all the summer vibes and is a fantastic way to tote around your extra toiletries in style! Bright, cheerful, and pretty, I’m using this bag as a daily essentials holder to keep my personal items secure while bouncing around in my purse. I’m absolutely loving this month’s IPSY bag!
Also included is a product card featuring the “The Soft Reset” theme, along with a sneak peek at some of the IPSY Original products. It also includes a QR code for more details about this month’s bag contents and a preview of next month’s highlights!

RATED GREEN Cold Brew Rosemary Balancing Scalp Mask with Charcoal - FULL SIZE -Retail Value $5.00
Oooo, do I love the smell of rosemary, so this scalp mask is fantastic for me! Packaged in a resealable bag, this scalp mask contains not only rosemary but also charcoal. To use, shampoo as usual, then apply a generous amount to clean, wet hair and scalp. Massage it in and leave it on for 5 minutes before rinsing with warm water. You don’t even need to condition afterward! I found this left my hair in great shape. I loved the scent and appreciated that there was enough product to use multiple times. Yay!!
INNISFREE Retinol Green Tea PDRN Skinbooster Serum - Deluxe Sample - Estimated Value $7.40
I am at the age where I appreciate receiving any kind of skincare product! That being said, I was thrilled to receive this skin booster serum. I haven’t tried this brand before, but I like what its products have to offer. This Green Tea serum features retinol, is vegan, and works to reduce the appearance of fine lines while providing hydration and supporting your skin barrier. It’s unscented, goes on smoothly, and is perfect for wearing under makeup. I loved the way it felt on my skin, and I swear I can already see a slight difference after just one week of use. I’m already a fan!
REAL PERFECTION Sponge + Case - FULL SIZE - Retail Value $7.00
The next item I received was another full-sized one! I always appreciate receiving full-sized products, but I don’t use sponges for makeup application. For the last 24 years, I’ve applied my foundation with my fingers, and I guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! I’ve tried multiple versions of these sponges, and while they seem like they should be helpful and offer an airbrushed look, I just can’t get on board. That being said, my niece is obsessed with applying her makeup with a sponge, so this one will be heading into her Christmas gift bag—which is also a win!
SONAGE SKINCARE Luster Eye Creme - Travel Size - Retail Value $38.00
Like I mentioned above, skincare is where it’s at for me right now, and I’m loving this travel-size tube of eye cream! With a retail value of $38, my day was made with this inclusion! Unscented, it goes on really lightly and includes niacinamide, plant collagen, and centella asiatica. It helps reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines, and my makeup applied nicely after using it. I really enjoyed this inclusion and found that it did a great job of hydrating my skin and adding a bit of life to my under-eye area!
MILANI COSMETICS Keep It Full Nourishing Lip Plumper in Luminoso - FULL SIZE - Retail Value $12.00
The last item I received this month was ANOTHER FULL-SIZE one!! This item was an amazing lip plumper by Milani Cosmetics. This lip gloss and plumper was gorgeous in color—a very light pink that created a shiny, sparkly pout—and it did help plump my lips a tiny bit. It didn’t burn when worn, and it actually worked beautifully over my long-lasting lipstick. It’s a formula that doesn’t break down the color and wears really nicely, creating a hydrated, plump pout. I’m definitely a fan of this one and will purchase more in the future!
I’ve been using my IPSY products and couldn’t be happier! My hair has been transformed, and my skin is looking better than it has in ages! Here, you can also see the lip plumper applied over my lipstick. Isn’t that a pretty color?! I’m obsessed!
Verdict
I love the IPSY Original subscription and always look forward to trying new beauty products. While I definitely have my go-to brands, I’m always excited for the chance to discover something new. This month, I received five fun items that truly elevated my skincare routine and makeup game! I genuinely loved every product and was thoroughly impressed.
For just $15, I received five items, and THREE of them were full-size, while one was travel-size and worth $39! That is insanity! I loved every item except the makeup sponge this month, but guess what?! That’s going to make a great addition to a Christmas bag, so it’s a win-win! Overall, I am seriously obsessed with this curation, but I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for the September curation. What do you think it will include?
