July is here, and our schedule might finally start slowing down! We've been incredibly busy with baseball, but things are beginning to wind down, which means it's finally time to relax a little.
I absolutely love this month's quote, and it inspired me to start setting my alarm a little earlier each morning so I can enjoy some quiet time before the day begins and let it "unfold slowly." I actually started doing that today, and I already feel more accomplished and in a much better mindset.
This month's Vellabox arrived at the perfect time to bring a sense of calm to my morning routine. Lighting the candle helped me reset, gather my thoughts, and map out my day without feeling overwhelmed. Somehow, it made tackling my to-do list feel a little more manageable while still leaving me with the satisfaction of getting things accomplished.

Rockaway Candle Co. "Summer Bonfire" - Retail Value $38.00
We're an outdoorsy family, and one of our absolute favorite parts of summer is gathering around a campfire. My son is a campfire pro—not only can he build and start a fire better than I can, but he also loves cooking over one! Just last week, this 11-year-old made a peach-apple cobbler in a campfire Dutch oven all by himself.
That being said, bringing a little of that campfire magic indoors with this month's "Summer Bonfire" candle was absolute perfection. Featuring notes of leather, allspice, teakwood, tobacco leaves, clove, sandalwood, peppercorn, and amber, it truly captures the essence of a summer campfire.
I love everything about this candle—from the incredible scent to the beautiful label design and rich navy-colored label. I've literally been burning it every day since it arrived! Smoky, earthy, and wonderfully reminiscent of a crackling fire, it instantly creates a relaxing atmosphere and helps bring a sense of calm to my mornings—without any of the bugs!
Made with soy wax and free of phthalates, it's a candle I feel good about burning in my home. Plus, the design fits beautifully with my décor. I am absolutely in love with this one!
This month's candle was created by Rockaway Candle Co., a small business based in Rockaway Beach, New York. They specialize in phthalate- and paraben-free home fragrances designed to inspire comfort, well-being, and nostalgia through both year-round favorites and seasonal scents.
Each candle is hand-poured using natural soy wax and cotton wicks, resulting in a beautifully crafted, non-toxic product. If you enjoy unique, thoughtfully curated fragrances, this is definitely a company worth checking out!

Summer Bonfire Body Oil - Retail Value $12
Pairing perfectly with the candle, we also received a 0.5-ounce bottle of "Summer Bonfire" body oil. This nourishing blend is made with sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, hazelnut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and fragrance.
Featuring the same scent notes as this month's candle, the body oil is quite fragrant. The warm clove and amber notes linger for hours—I could still catch the scent several hours after applying it! While I really enjoyed the campfire-inspired fragrance, it is fairly strong, so a little goes a long way. I found that using it sparingly gave me just the right amount of scent without being overpowering.

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s "Summer Bonfire" scent was perfect for me, and brought a little coziness to my home. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the matching scented body oil, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for August!
