This month's box was pretty basic but it did have one product icon hiding in there that genuinely surprised me. The overall theme was skin barrier support, which is classic BomiBox territory, and for the most part the curation stayed true to that. Let's get into it.
What is BomiBox?
BomiBox is a monthly Korean beauty subscription box. Each month, you get eight full-sized and deluxe sample-sized Korean skincare, makeup, beauty, and body products. BomiBox costs $39.99/month, save with longer subscriptions.
This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
What's Inside:
Mary&May (RENEW) White Collagen Cleansing Foam — Retail Value $10
Not a fan of this one. It lathers beautifully and the scent is mild, so on paper it checks all the right boxes, but in practice, it left my skin uncomfortably tight. Like I'd washed my face with laundry soap. For someone with oily skin who's used to gel and foam cleansers, that's saying something. Hard pass from me.
APLB Salicylic Acid BHA Arbutin Facial Cream — Retail Value $9.80
This was an interesting pick and, honestly, a pleasant surprise. Arbutin is a great hydrating and moisture-supporting ingredient for acne-prone skin, and seeing it paired with low-level salicylic acid — a BHA that works by dissolving inside the pore to clear out congestion — makes this a genuinely smart combo. You get gentle, ongoing exfoliation alongside hydration, which is a rare balance. The texture is lightweight and gel-based, which makes it ideal for oily skin types and a definite bonus for those of us dealing with Florida heat. Think of it as a treatment moisturizer that quietly does multiple jobs at once.
Ongredients Skin Barrier Calming Lotion EX — Retail Value $10.12
New brand for me, and it came with a texture surprise. I expected something thick, but this is lightweight and almost serum-runny. Not your last-step moisturizer, but a really solid treatment layer for when your skin is irritated or compromised. It absorbs cleanly, leaves nothing behind, and would work well sandwiched into a routine on reactive skin days.
Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse — Retail Value $15
Here she is. The icon. My heart is a little broken that this came in a sample size, but I get it. This cream is built on Centella Asiatica — a powerhouse botanical known for calming inflammation, reinforcing the skin barrier, and accelerating healing — and Centellian24 does it better than almost anyone. If you have sensitive skin and need something to genuinely calm and revive it, this is the one. I personally reach for this after in-office treatments like extractions or chemical peels, and it never lets me down. It's rich but absorbs quickly, with zero cakiness or heaviness. A true K-beauty sleeper hit beloved by the connoisseurs and criminally underrated by everyone else.
Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner — Retail Value $3.39

I feel like BomiBox reaches for this one whenever they need a filler. It's a fine toner, but Pyunkang Yul's formulas tend to run scent-heavy, which is a dealbreaker for me. Moving on.
Skinfood Sous Vide Mask Sheet (x2) — Retail Value $4/ea

We got the Lotus Root and Asparagus versions. I'm already a fan of Skinfood's toner pads, and these sheet masks are just as good — both are completely drenched in serum, feel great on the skin, and actually stay in place while you're wearing them. Solid add.
Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $36.99
Total Value: $56.31
Honestly? This box was boring, and I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The total value barely clears the box price, which is a miss on its own. The only thing that genuinely excited me was the Centellian24 Madeca Cream, and even that came in a sample size. The rest of the box felt like a lineup of safe, predictable picks rather than anything curated with intention. Hoping next month brings the energy back.
Can you still get this box? Not this month's, but you can sign up today to receive next month's box!
