August is here, and I’m in absolute shock at how quickly this summer has flown by. While we’ve done our best to soak it all in, we’ve also been so busy that it feels like we haven’t had a moment to pause and simply be thankful. This month’s Vellabox quote really hit home for me—it was a reminder to slow down, enjoy the sunsets, and truly take in everything this special time has to offer. Aromatherapy is a big part of my relaxation routine, and after long, hectic days, this subscription is exactly what I need. If the soft flicker of candlelight and calming scents help you unwind too, I highly recommend giving it a try. NIMA Aromatherapy "Moonflower Neroli" - Retail Value $38.00
Nothing says relaxation quite like a candle. To signify that I’m "done" for the night, I light my candles and plop down with a lustful sigh. Nothing creates ambiance quite like the soft flicker of a flame—and the clean-burning candle brands that Vellabox collaborates with are second to none when it comes to melting the day’s tension away.
Since many candles contain harmful ingredients, I’ve made the switch from cheap, mass-produced options to high-quality, premium candles that are free from all those nasty chemicals. This month’s candle is made with sustainable coconut soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and 100% cotton wicks.
The scent I received for August is Moonflower Neroli, featuring notes of green leaves, neroli, jasmine, patchouli, pear, cherry blossom, and amber. It’s a lovely blend of warm floral notes and citrus. I was able to easily pick out the patchouli after lighting it and really enjoyed the decadence and complexity of this month’s aroma.
The label this month was a bit more minimal than usual, featuring a beautiful scent description rather than heavy branding. A gorgeous addition to any decor, this candle has quickly become one of our favorites!

Cocktail Napkins - Retail Value $14
I love the addition of the surprise item included in this subscription, and this month we received some really fun cocktail napkins! To be honest, I’ve never owned cocktail napkins, nor even thought to use them, but these colorful cloth squares added a playful touch to our usual dinner routine. My husband has been alcohol-free for three years now, so we didn’t use them for cocktails, but they held our milk cups just fine! The cute food-themed clipart on each napkin was absolutely adorable—a charming little extra that brought some unexpected joy to our table.

Vellabox is a fabulous subscription and one I look forward to receiving each and every month. Since I burn candles almost every day, it’s important to me that they’re free of toxins and harmful ingredients. Vellabox does an excellent job of curating small brands that are not only safe to use but smell incredible too! This month’s Moonflower Neroli scent was absolutely decadent—a perfect nod to the end of the summer season. With the addition of the Spotify playlist and the playful cocktail napkins, my month felt complete. I already can’t wait to see what’s in store for September!
