First Impressions
Monthly deliveries come packed in this beautifully branded box. It's secured by a sticker that gets you excited to explore what's inside. Once you open the box, you're greeted by an information pamphlet, a monthly affirmation, and a sticker.
Details about your monthly curation are inside this pamphlet. On the back is a teaser into your next box. This subscription is a little different than others, in that the boxes are set up to be sent in a sequence — everyone receives boxes in the same order, no matter when they subscribe. So the teaser on the back of the booklet will be about what YOU are going to receive, and might differ from what you see here.
This is my third month of The Mindful Box, and the first time I'm receiving a sticker that's something other than a branded Mindful Souls one. My kids and I are in love with this peaceful llama and plan to put it on our water bottle! The affirmation of the month is about forgiveness, an ongoing effort of mine—both forgiving myself and others—so this feels wonderfully aligned with that work.
What's Inside the February 2024 Mindful Souls Box
Raw Pyrite Crystal, .10 lbs - Retail Value $29.97
Who doesn't love the sparkle of fool's gold? This is the first type of crystal I fell in love with as a kid, because of how easily the imagination can latch onto it and turn it into the center of so many imaginative play scenarios. I felt like I had real treasure in my hands. And because of this, I decided to pass the delight on to my five-year-old daughter by giving it to her for Valentine's Day. She adores it.
Outside of how it looks and can be played with, pyrite holds protective energies and can invite prosperity and vitality. Who wouldn't want this for their child?
Red Agate Circle Crystal - Retail Value $17.97
Following up the sparkling pyrite with a smoothness and serenity to it is this red agate circle. It feels so good to hold in the hands. Its color is deep and comforting, and its weight is calming. Agate is a balancing stone that offers protection, increase courage and creativity, and enhances energy waves. It's said to be a good one for children because it holds a subtle energy. This one was the Valentine's stone I gave to my two-year-old.
Dragon's Blood Sage with Wild Flowers - Estimated Retail Value $12.97
Of all the sage smudge sticks I've waved around over the years, I've never tried one with wild flowers! I've also typically burnt blue sage, but this one appears to be...maybe Mt. Shasta sage? Does anyone recognize the more stemmy, yellowy appearance here? It's not currently in the Mindful Souls shop, but here's a lavender one if you're interested in exploring mixed smudge sticks.
Wrapped Raw Clear Quartz Necklace - Retail Value $19.97
Next up is a simple wrap necklace with raw clear quartz in the feature seat. It's a good hunk of quartz with some weight to it, and it's nice that it's wrapped in a neutral colored cord for a more subdued look. I'm coming to learn that Mindful Souls does adjustable necklaces extremely well—similar to last month's amethyst necklace, this one is easily adjusted by pull strings, and holds the position of your choosing without slipping out of place.
Here's the necklace at a very short length (it could go way shorter if you needed it to) and at its longest length. Both are comfortable.
Protective Tiger's Eye Bracelet - Retail Value $32.97
Tiger's eye is another stone I have early memories of being intrigued by. Its glowy swirling of light and dark are so mesmerizing to roll between your fingers and ponder. Here in bracelet form, there is natural variation to the tiger's eye beads, welcoming a range of black, deep brown, rust, and golden hues. It is cooling to wear on the wrist and very versatile.
Buddha Pillowcase - Retail Value $15.90
Lastly for this month is this Buddha pillowcase that can be zipped over any 18-inch pillow you already own. There is not indication of the material, but its textured fabric seems faintly water-resistant, perhaps. Although it doesn't align with the currently style of my home, its vibrant warmth is very inviting and I can't wait for this pillowcase to find the right owner.

This month in The Mindful Box came a curation of crystals meant to support, protect, and invite courage. As such, it felt very light and pleasant to explore, and I was pleased to pass two of the stones along to my kids to have as their own treasures. I love the mix of standalone and wearable crystals, and the variety of colors, textures, and uses.
This box costs $39.97, and contained 6 items that add up to a total of $129.77 (or $125.77 if you consider the sale price of the pyrite). This is a higher retail value than last month, and feels like an awesome deal.
