A Year Full of Love & Light: Vellabox
What a beautiful quote for the start of the new year! With a host of positive thoughts and a growth mindset in place, I am ready to take on 2024. Though I am still reeling in the delight of the Christmas season (I keep my decorations up until February), I was really excited to see what this month's Vellabox had in store. Encompassing bright floral scents with warm spices, it was a great way to transition from the woodsy cedar scents to something a little more feminine for the new year. I light my candles almost everyday, and the 16 ounce sized ones last me the entire month. Not only are the scents incredible, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience.

As a gardener, floral scents are some of my favorites. While roses aren't particularly my specialty, I tend to a large variety of dahlia bulbs, lilies, cut flowers, sunflowers, potted plants, and even won a grand champion ribbon at the county fair for my Swamp Rose Mallow this past fall! With a very natural scent, this candle encompasses rose hip extremely well, and has an earthy tone that is delightful. While the black rose aroma really shines in this mixture, it also contains pink peppercorn, grapefruit, plum, cumin, vanilla, patchouli, and labdanum. With a decent scent throw, this candle fills up our living and dining area and is truly a joy to light!
Z Candles is a company based out of Lake Oswego, Oregon that creates candles to enhance cozy spaces in looks and aroma. Their candles are made from 100% soy wax, and are dye and phthalate-free. With a fragrance like this one, you can bet I will be checking out their other products!

Back in 2006, right before I was about to graduate high school, my 84 year-old grandma scolded me for not sending her a Valentine card. To be funny, I started making cards and sending them to her on all sorts of crazy holidays. Some weeks I was mailing out 3-4 cards! This lasted a little over a year. She saved all of them, and when she passed away, we found a box containing every card stored under her bed. To this day, I send out a ton of cards, sometimes just because, as it can really light up somebody's day. That being said, this set of 4 cards is not only adorable, but totally functional for me. With four different covers, these cards are high quality, and blank inside for customization. A great inclusion - I am loving this month's Vellabox!

Vellabox is one of my favorite subscriptions, and this month was amazing. With beautiful floral scents that are reminiscent of spring, I not only loved the candle, but the greeting cards too! Starting out a new year right with the candle, free gift, and Spotify playlist, this subscription continues to leave me impressed. I already can't wait to see what's in store for February!
