First Impressions

After a weekend long camping adventure, I was ready to axe the aroma of wet dog paired with sweaty tent and get home to the A/C and my bed. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love tenting it with the fam, but wrestling a 12 week old puppy, two kids, a 5 year old lab in a tent was a little more stressful than I was ready for! Literally woof!
Bright, cheery, and citrusy vibes are what this month's Vellabox had in store, and I can tell you first hand, this candle smelled 1000% better than the bug spray, minnow bucket, sweat smell I endured the last 4 days! Not only has Vellabox changed my candle life by sending large, health-conscious, toxic-free products, but the aromatherapy aspect is out of this world! I burn candles very often, and the 16 ounce size lasts all month. Not only are the scents fantastic, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience.

Fun and funky in a simple design, this month's candle pick was chosen with slow summer mornings and little moments that make summer days so sweet in mind. With an ultra-alluring, yet subtle vibe, this month's "Summer Market" fragrance lives right up to its name. Featuring notes of citrus, lemon, lime, grapefruit, and greenery, this candle is beautifully sweet, with a warm feel to top it off. With a burn time of 80 hours, this soy candle will last me the entire month and looks shabby chic on my country counter top and smells even better than it looks! The scent throw with this particular fragrance is perfect- not too hefty, yet fills a room in the perfect way. Overall, I couldn't have chosen a better scent if I tried, and I am loving the summer vibes this candle gives off every time I light it.
I love the fact that this box features a different candle maker each month. Not only do we receive a background story on each candle maker, but we also receive a coupon code, and a QR code for easy re-purchase. This month's maker is Oasis Studio Candle Co. which is a clean home fragrance company that produces toxic-free products that are sustainable and luxurious. Yummy!

Where was this sunglass pouch before I scratched my aviators to heck?! Slim and absolutely chic, this sunglass case is large in size and smacks shut to keep your sunnies protected. Because I am unable to take care of sunglasses like a responsible adult, I buy cheap pairs and end up throwing them in my purse. At this point, I'm not sure how I can even see out of them! I'm hoping with this inclusion I will get a little more life out of my cheapies and maybe one day will be able to upgrade to a little more luxurious. Created by Vellabox, this soft pouch is well made, stitched nicely, and serves its purpose dutifully. I couldn't be happier!
Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $38
Vellabox is legit one of my favorite subscriptions to date. I can't say it enough, but before Vellabox, I was spending a ton of money on candles that were wayyy too strong for my house, left my husband with worsening allergies, and our furnace filter black. Though Vellabox is a little more spendy upfront, their high quality, health-conscious candles last so much longer and keep our house so much cleaner. If that's not enough to persuade you to make the switch, knowing I've never received a fragrance I didn't enjoy just might! Seriously - since starting this subscription, these are the only candles I burn. $38 for a candle that lasts an entire month, plus a useful bonus gift - count me in. I can't wait to see what's in store for September!

Though some of the smells endured on our camping trip were a little less than glam, we truly had an amazing time at Voyageur's National Park and highly suggest everyone check it out. The fishing was fantastic, and the sights were amazing - pups loved it too!
