Bath Bevy "Spa Day” April 2023 Review

Cucumber Melon Bath Bomb - Retail Value $8

I am a fan of the classic cucumber melon scent, so this bath bomb was a treat. This bath bomb was very foamy- it added a thick layer of white foamy bubbles and only a hint of green-blue color to my bath water, and the cucumber melon was mild and not overpowering.

Here it is in action along with some bubbles from the bubble bath that was included this month.

Me Time Bath Bomb - Retail Value $8

This bath bomb was a fizzer- it added some bubbles, but it also had a lot of movement across my bath tub that was fun to watch and had a bit more pink and white color. The "me time" scent is a pleasant fruity blend of raspberry, cantaloupe, watermelon, jasmine, violet, grapefruit, and kumquat.

Here it is in action.

Green Tea + Cucumber Bubble Bath - Retail Value $12

Bath Bevy makes a great bubble bath- I can usually get at least five or six baths out of a bottle, though I could probably get more if I was a more diligent about being sparing with what I poured. The cucumber and green tea scent of this bubble bath is really complimentary to a lot of different bath bombs and bath salts because it's pleasant but mild.

Spa Day Whipped Soap Scrub - Retail Value $15

Bath Bevy really knows their way around a lemongrass scent- I love this scent combo of avocado, lemongrass, and bergamot. If you're unfamiliar with soap scrubs, think fluffy whipped soap with scrubby sugar granules throughout that get you clean and leave your skin feeling soft (and smelling great) without being too abrasive. I'm a fan of the Bath Bevy formula and always look forward to the new scent combinations I'll get to experience each month.

Relaxation Salt Soak Blend - Retail Value $16

This salt soak is just beautiful. Made of a mix of Dead Sea salt and infused with rose, chamomile, hibiscus, orange peel, lemongrass leaf, and lavender, this smells absolutely incredible and is so pretty to look at. I really appreciate that Bath Bevy thought to include a muslin bag to contain the mess in my bath tub, too, so I didn't have anything to clean when I was done soaking (or anything getting clogged in my drain).

Two Wild Horses Everyday is Spa Day Bath Fizzy Dust

At first I thought this was another bath soak,  but it's actually like bath bomb powder- half the bag is equivalent to one bath bomb and turned my bath water a vibrant blue color. The scent is a refreshing mix of fresh air and citrus, and it was really lovely to use (and didn't stain my tub).

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $43.21 per month + $7.95 shipping.

Value Breakdown: Everything in this box is handmade by Bath Bevy except the bath fizzy dust. Bath Bevy will typically sell these products individually on the website, and I was able to find everything except the dust (though I wouldn't be surprised if it was up on the site at some point).

Key Takeaways

I thought this month's Bath Bevy box was another great box. I love the spa and spa days, so the theme (and the scents) were right on point for me. I really loved the beautiful salt soak that was included and that we got two bath bombs and the powdered bath dust. I really appreciate that the scents are complimentary to each other so I can use the products together, too. This is the subscription for someone looking to add a little extra luxury to their monthly bath routine with the added bonus of being surprised by the products curated around a fun theme. If you don't take baths, don't let that deter you from subscribing- Bath Bevy also offers a "tubless" subscription. If you're a fan of artisan bath products this is a subscription box worth checking out- in this new year you deserve a little extra self care.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
