Bespoke Post is a monthly membership club that delivers high-quality lifestyle products from up-and-coming brands. It’s voted as one of the best men’s subscription boxes of 2023 by our readers and it’s a great box for women and couples as well.

When you sign up, there’s a quiz to determine your preferences and interests, then you’re matched with a new themed box every month. For $49 per month, each box promises at least $70 in retail value with items ranging from outdoor gear, barware, home, and kitchen goods, clothing, and more. If you're not into the boxes selected for you, there are many others to choose from.

Unlike most subscription boxes, you get to preview your Bespoke Post box before it ships and you can easily swap for a different box or skip the month for no charge. You only pay for the months that interest you.

This is a review of the "Snug" box.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

Bespoke Post almost always has a good presentation. This is probably the biggest box I've received from Bespoke. There was a little card inside that had a recipe for spiked hot chocolate.

Slowtide Polar Fleece Blanket - Estimated Price $40

We have an embarrassing amount of blankets in our household. So what's one more? Actually, I envisioned this one in my car, along with some other comfort/emergency items. That, however, depends on if my daughter will let me have it back. This item from Slowtide is a light fleece blanket measuring 50 by 66 inches. Subscribers can receive it in three designs: Hayden, Chico, and Yukon, which this one is. (There is a fourth, sold out option.) There are also many more options on the Slowtide website. It is thin and light, but soft and warm. It is perfect for the couch or the campfire and it's big enough for two or to hog all to yourself (See: my daughter.) While we'll likely use this as an auxiliary blanket, it was exactly what I wanted and was expecting. No notes.

Note: I didn't find these particular blankets on the website and prices for similar ones run from $30-$45. Seemed like ones with similar designs were going for $40. So, I'm estimating this blanket at that.

Mizu D7 Insulated Bottle - Retail Price $40

If the blanket isn't enough to keep you warm, bring along some hot coffee, cocoa, or soup in this insulated bottle. It holds 22 oz. and is made with double-wall 18/8 stainless steel with vacuum-sealed screw cap. The website claims it will keep drinks hot for 18 hours and cold for 36. The insulated lid doubles as mug. The whole thing weighs in at 17.6 oz. and can be toted around with a light weight carry cord. This would be perfect for making some hot/iced coffee at home to drink at the campsite the next morning. I like that it's thin enough for a car's cup holder or your backpack.

Verdict

This was one of those Bespoke Post boxes that was exactly what was expected. While I can't say I was wowed by anything; that's not the point. Bespoke is a subscription that lets you choose what you want, when you want it, for a savings. I chose "Snug" for the blanket, which delivered on all expectations. The insulated bottle was a welcomed and thoughtful add-on. All in all, this is exactly a box I would expect from Bespoke Post. I like the ones that pair two or three items together and save me money in the process. To say it one more time, it wasn't the most exciting box, but it was what I wanted, of good quality, and at a great price. What more can you ask for?

Let's Talk About Value

I'm estimating this box at $80 (I'm not sure exactly what the price of the blanket is). That is $26 more than the cost of this sub ($54 with shipping). That's not a bad savings. With the money I saved, I could rent a campsite to test out my new items.

To Wrap Up

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, the "Snug" is available at the time of this post.

I was subscribed to Bespoke Post for well over a year. I do like the quality of their goods and did purchase at least three of the monthly boxes (out of approximately 15 suggested) but the things you get can be found online for similar or lower prices if you do a little looking. I don’t like the “subscription” model they operate on. You check a bunch of boxes on your interests and they send you something they say fits in one of your categories. If you fail to cancel each month they automatically send you another one. You can send them back if you don’t want them, but it is a hassle. I decided to cancel after receiving the second box I forgot to decline before they shipped. I like the idea, but the execution and selection in goods is lacking overall.

I mostly agree. Firstly, Bespoke Post should really be called a “membership.” You’re really just shopping at reduced prices. Secondly, I agree that they seem to disregard your personality profile. I told them no bartending stuff and I feel like I get one of those suggestions every month. Lastly, I also agree that the selection does get tiresome after a while, but the stuff that I have received has almost always been great. Most items have gone right into my routine.

I like everything you said. Thanks for commenting.

The idea of a $40 valuation on a “thin and light” fleece throw, blanket stitched edges or no, is just crazy. It’s a nice looking throw and I’m sure it’s cozy but that’s an astounding suggested price. The thermos is lovely, though.

Agreed. I could get something like that for as low as $10, but $20 seems like a reasonable, average price.
