Right now, FabFitFun is offering four limited edition beauty boxes as an introductory offer to new members, but existing members can also purchase the boxes at the same low price of $25.00. Current members can find all custom boxes in the shop section under boxes.

This is a round up review of the four limited edition beauty boxes you can choose from to add to your new quarterly subscription.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Through the years, I have subscribed to FabFitFun as both an annual subscriber and a seasonal subscriber. Through every season I have noticed perks aimed at new subscribers to encourage a new subscription, and this quarter they've changed it up a bit with an option for both newbies and current subscribers. For an extra $25.00, you have the ability to choose between four different limited edition beauty bundles valued at over $80.00. With all of these different options, I am here to examine all four boxes to help you decide which might be the best fit for you. Read below to find out what I discovered.

Box 1: Best of Beauty Box

The first box features a lovely trio of skincare and makeup. With a retail value of $104, you really can't go wrong for the additional $25!

Kate Somerville® ExfoliKate® Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash - Retail Value $44

Foamy and pineapple-y, this daily foaming wash smells delicious and made my skin feel incredible. Not only did this wash gently "exfoliKate" my skin, but it left my skin feeling softer and cleaner than my regular wash. I've tried other Kate Somerville products and have been impressed by those as well. Along with great products, the Kate Somerville brand also has a fantastic mission, partnering with Foster Nation to support foster youth as they age out of the system, providing professional training, workshops and mentorship, and fully funding 5+ cosmetology scholarships annually to support professional beauty career paths. While $44 is extremely high for a wash, because I work with a substantial number of foster kids, this is a cause I definitely want to support.

dr. brandt skincare pores no more® Luminizer Primer - Retail Value $38

With a history of cystic acne, my skin has extra-large pores and I've tried a lot of different products to "blur" those pesky pockets. With a bit of a highlighter tone, I found the overall coverage to be pretty dang good. I was a little hesitant that my skin was looking super shiny before I applied my foundation, but was happy with the subtle glow I observed after blending it in. Additionally, it didn't cause any breakouts, and helped keep my makeup looking ship shape throughout the day.

Anastasia Beverly Hills® Clear Brow Gel - Retail Value $22

Full disclosure: I am a product of the late 80s, and my eyebrows show it. After spending my teen years over-plucking, my best friend is my eyebrow pencil. I found a really great Revlon one that goes on really naturally and has pretty good staying power, but I've been noticing a bit of it has been rubbing off when I wear my oversized blue light glasses. I'm not much for brow gel just because I didn't think it was a necessity, but boy was this a game changer! Applying easily, this brushed out my freshly penciled-in brows and kept them from smearing all day long - even while wearing glasses. Looks like I have a new must-have in my make up caddy!

Box 2: Member Favorites Beauty Box

Including five items, the Member Favorite Box is a great mix of beauty, skin care, and hair care. Retailing at around $106, this curation is over worth over 4 times the cost!

dr. brandt® skincare Clean Biotic™ pH-balanced Yogurt Cleanser - Retail Value $35

Suggested for dry and combination skin, this dr. brandt nourishing skin yogurt cleanser is almost the exact consistency as my morning Yoplait! Working to clear your skin of the day's grime, you can use this cleanser in the morning and evening. Using a biotic complex, it is said that this cleanser helps support natural face flora, paired with chlorophyll to help reduce redness and irritation. I have combination skin and found this cleanser to be gentle and nourishing but didn't create much of a lather. With a very mild and clean aroma, my skin did feel rejuvenated, and because I've enjoyed all of my dr. brandt products, I was happy to add this to my daily routine.

Living Proof® No Frizz® Nourishing Style Cream - Retail Value $28

I know a lot of people who swear by Living Proof products, so I was excited to see what all the hype is about. With a very spendy retail value, I honestly was expecting a bigger bottle, but did note you don't need much to reap the benefits. With a light floral fragrance, I added this to my hair after washing and partially drying. Followed by the use of a straightener, it really did make a difference in the look of my hair. Color damaged and in desperate need of a trim, adding this conditioner to my ends left my hair looking polished and professional, without being greasy.

Eyeko Double Act Shadow Stick in 'Cookies and Cream' - Retail Value $25

Eyeko and I are best buds when it comes to their black liquid eyeliner, but I haven't tried their shadow sticks. Featuring a "Cookies" and "Cream" side, this eyeshadow stick adds a really subtle highlighted effect to my day-to-day makeup. I typically use darker colors to create a smokey eye, and this was a little light, but did add a little metallic shine to my lids and crease. With decent staying power, I will definitely continue to use this as a brow highlighter, and to give my overall look a little extra shine.

Winky Lux In The Stars Lip Oil - Retail Value $18

Not only is this lip oil packaging absolutely gorgeous, but look at that those gold stars immersed right into the oil! Packed with vitamin E and peptides, this oil is nourishing and hydrating. I have received this in a previous box, and it has been one of my favorites. Large in size, and just a little bit shimmery, this oil is perfect for everyday wear and smells like a delicious vanilla cupcake. Who can resist?

Box 3: The Glowing Beauty Box

A nice mixture of skincare and makeup, this curated beauty box has a retail value of $100! (And a highlighter with my literal name on it!)

Becca Cosmetics Ignite Liquid Highlighter - Retail Value $38

A little goes a very, very long way when it comes to this "Becca" liquid highlighter. I'm all for a summer glow, but now that my tan has faded and the fall colors are out, I'm reining it in a bit, just slightly highlighting my cheek bones and chin. As you can see, it is quite pigmented, but blends in to create a light shimmer. It is easy to go overboard with this stuff, so a half pump is really all that is needed to add a little illumination to your face without looking like a shiny robot.

Kate Somerville® ExfoliKate® Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash - Retail Value $44

Because this daily foaming wash was also included in the "Best of Beauty" box option, I want to reiterate my thoughts:

Foamy and pineapple-y, this daily foaming wash smells delicious and made my skin feel incredible. Not only did this wash gently "exfoliKate" my skin, but it left my skin feeling softer and cleaner than my regular wash. I've tried other Kate Somerville products and have been impressed by those as well. Along with great products, the Kate Somerville brand also has a fantastic mission partnering with Foster Nation to support foster youth as they age out of the system, providing professional training, workshops and mentorship, and fully funding 5+ cosmetology scholarships annually to support professional beauty career paths. While $44 is extremely high for a wash, because I work with a substantial number of foster kids, this is a cause I definitely want to support.

Winky Lux In The Stars Lip Oil - Retail Value $18

Also included in the Member's Favorite Box above, I will also reiterate my thoughts on this yummy lip oil.

Box 4: Buzzworthy Beauty Box

Including skincare, haircare, and makeup, this buzzworthy beauty box retails at $89.50.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer - Retail Value $39

Spiked with vitamins and amino acid rich-watermelon extracts, this Glow Recipe moisturizer is a little thinner than what I'm used to, but smells absolutely delightful. With a natural light scent, it was calming and hydrating, all while leaving my skin the perfect canvas for applying my makeup in the morning. Including hyaluronic acid, my skin was softer within only a few applications and is aesthetically pleasing in the pink abstract bottle.

UNITE 7SECONDS Leave-In Detangler - Retail Value $32.50

I have extremely fine hair and it tangles like no other. The moment I step outside I can kiss goodbye the ability to run my fingers through my hair, so I always welcome a detangler, especially one that states it detangles hair in 7 seconds! With a white, creamy spray, this slightly smells like the "Rave" hairspray my grandma Carol used to use. Perfect for applying before heat styling, swimming in chlorine, and on chemically treated hair, my ultra-damaged strands soaked up all of this goodness and looked extra healthy without being greasy.

Glossier Lash Slick - Retail Value $18

I am a mascara addict and wear it every single day. Typically, I used a large soft brush to get all the volume I can, so I was a little disappointed to see such a small one on this Glossier wand. While I loved the pink simplistic design, I just couldn't get the volume I look to achieve with this mascara, so it won't be going into my personal favorites pile. This would, however, be the perfect mascara for a gal that enjoys a more natural look as it lightly coats each lash without clumping or looking goopy.

Limited Edition Round Up Verdict

So many options to choose from - how does one decide? Personally, I really enjoyed almost every single item in every limited-edition choice. With retail values so high, I feel the $25 is fair, and the curations varied between skincare, haircare, and makeup really well. Because most of these products are repeats from past boxes, I do want to comment that all of my products were in tip-top shape, and not spoiled or expired, in case that was a concern. Personally, I think the best fit for me were boxes #1 and #2, but overall, I felt all of them had a good mix of products. Though I find all retail values extremely inflated, I would be okay spending $25 on one of these bundles just to try some of these different brands without having to fork over those crazy initial prices. Feeling like I have scored a deal, I enjoyed these limited-edition boxes, and hope to see more like this in the future. What did you think?

FFF just announced a price increase of $5 per seasonal box and $20 per annual subscription.

It’s about time FFF did something for their existing subscribers BUT what would’ve been nice is to let them pick what 3-4 items they wanted.
