Vine Oh! is a quarterly subscription box featuring wine + women's lifestyle items that are curated to help women relax, recharge and unwind. For $59.99 per quarter, you'll receive two bottles of wine (choose two sweets, two reds, two whites, or a mix), plus lifestyle gift items that will have a total retail value of at least $120. This box ships to the U.S., except the following states: AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, KY, MS, RI, UT. Helpful hint: be sure to be home to sign for the box, or have it shipped to a drop off location, otherwise you risk the box being sent back to the Fed Ex facility!

As some of you may know, I married my high school sweetheart two days before my 19th birthday. Because he was 21, he wanted to have wine served during our dinner reception, and because we were super fancy, we splurged...ahem... (less than $50.00) on two cases of "Snow Creek Berry" Boone's Farm for the big day. Holy hangover city!! Anyways, I have to admit my taste in wine has significantly improved over the last 15 years, and though I still have one of the discolored bottles of that vintage flavored apple wine product with our anniversary date scribbled in permanent marker on the bottom, I now prefer flavors with a little more depth. And because of my love for wine, and all things girly, I have subscribed to Vine Oh! off and on for the last several years, now making my review debut! Read below to find out what I received in the Oh! Happy Day! Box.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more).

First Impressions

Inside the shipping box, you will receive a smaller box that contains all of the lifestyle items. The wine bottles are safely cased below at the bottom of the shipping carton, arriving safe and sound. In my years of experience with this subscription, there was only one time my wine leaked, (most likely due to frigid temps) but with a quick call to customer service, I received a replacement bottle 3 days later. Hooray for excellent customer service!

In the past few seasons, I have noticed that Vine Oh! has decided to forgo their usual postcard style content cards in exchange for an informational pamphlet. Included is information on each item, the retail value, and even some special offers, followed by a recipe for three variations of sangria. This month's box was valued at over $149!

What's Inside the Box

2018 New Crush California Red Wine Blend – Retail Value $24.00

New Crush Red Blend- aromas and flavors of blackberry jam, vanilla, and toasted oak combine with smooth tannins that lead into a well-balanced finish. A perfect pairing with roasted pork and grilled vegetables.

Though I admitted my wine preferences have matured through the years, I still have to say I prefer sweet wines to full bodied red ones. That being said, there is a time and a place for a red wine, and paired with a juicy porkchop and garlic roasted green beans is where it's at. This particular red blend has a very subtle blackberry and vanilla note, followed by a strong essence of toasted oak. It was a slightly muddy mixture, but in the best way, leaving me wanting more. If you are looking for a sweet wine, then this beaut isn't for you, but if you are looking for a lovely dinner companion, I suggest giving it a try.

2021 Tines California Riesling – Retail Value $24.00

Our Riesling is filled with the aromas of citrus, stone fruit, white flowers, followed by hints of apricots, peaches, and pears on the finish.

Crisp and refreshing, this California Riesling gave vibes of peaches, apricots, and pears. While sweeter in comparison to the red blend we received, this blend is still nothing like a Moscato. With only a hint of sweetness, I found this acidic wine to have a bit of a mature flavor to it, but very enjoyable. My husband preferred this wine to the red version, and we spent our Saturday night sipping wine and playing cribbage...typical right?

Annie Austen Cream Tassel Earrings - Listed Value $30

In seasons past, I have loved the jewelry choices Vine Oh! has made. The E.B. and Co. Open Circle Necklace from the Winter 2021 box is one of my favorite necklaces to date. That being shared, I really didn't care for this season's tassel earrings. Don't get me wrong, I love tassels. Just look at my dining room valances - they are loaded with the fluffy little guys! But as earrings, I just can't do it, especially at the astronomical suggested retail price. Am I completely off of trend here? My husband did say they looked better on than he expected them to, so that's a win, right?

The Potted Plant Herbal Blossom Body Lotion - Retail Value $20

Thanks to our delayed warm weather and my ultra-dry skin, I have been using lotion by the truckload, so even though lotion isn't exactly the most exciting product a girl could get, it has already proven to be very useful. Made in the USA, this herbal blossom body lotion is actually produced by a company based in my home state! Yay Minnesota! Being vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free, this brand is all about clean beauty. Generally, when I shop for a body lotion I opt for a non-scented version as my ultra-sensitive husband despises heavy scents, but he wasn't bothered by this one. Slightly sweet with just a hint of a floral note, this lotion rubbed in easily without leaving a greasy film. I also appreciated the size and design of this bottle - a universal look that could go with nearly any home decor.

Host and Home Microfiber Makeup Removal Cloths - Listed Value $20

It's no secret that I love a smokey eye, and with that comes a lot of stained towels. I have one particular towel I adore that really takes care of my waterproof mascara but was definitely in need of a backup, so this was the perfect inclusion for me. Even without the addition of a make-up removing solvent, my liquid eyeliner and mascara came off with just a little warm water added to this cloth. Large in size, soft in texture, and even embroidered to designate these for makeup use only, I really am impressed with these cloths. The fact that they are pink was almost as exciting as the fact that we received three of them!

Slant Collections Wine Glass - Listed Value $14

How cute is this stemless wine glass? Besides being neon pink, the gold "Wine goes in fun comes out" saying is not only hilarious, but pretty dang accurate. While it may clash a bit with my inherited, antique wine cupboard, it is my new favorite drinkware!

Clip & Sip Umbrella Drink Markers (similar found here) - Listed Value $12

Another fun and useful inclusion were these clip and sip umbrella drink markers. Once upon a time (pre-Covid) I hosted multiple get togethers a year with family and friends, and everybody's drink cup would get mixed up - alcoholic or not. I eventually started using plastic cups and a permanent marker, but these umbrella clips are just so much more sophisticated and fun! The kids love slipping these on the side of their milk glass at dinner, and I love adding them to the side of my Saturday night wine glass for a much-needed vacation feel.

Rule Breaker Deep Chocolate Brownie Bites - Retail Value $5

Chocolate is another one of my favorite things in life, so I am not ashamed to say I dove headfirst into this pack of brownie bites shortly after they met the light of day. Honestly, all I saw was shiny pink packaging and chocolate on the cover before divulging, and then noticed an interesting texture and flavor. Not a gross flavor, but one that was a little less sugary than I anticipated. Come to find out (had I read the package before stuffing my face) these little bites are actually made out of chickpeas! Free from gluten, dairy, eggs, peanuts, and tree nuts, these snacks have less sugar and more fiber than other snacks. While I would have preferred a more indulgent treat to be included in this box, these bites weren't bad.

Verdict

Though this was my first-time reviewing Vine Oh! I have been an off and on-again subscriber for quite some time now and always enjoy the fun curations. Receiving the quarterly yummy wine paired with fun lifestyle items is something I most definitely look forward to, even if I don't love all of the items (sorry, tassels). Most of the lifestyle items such as the wine glass, makeup towels, umbrella markers, and lotion were not only useful, but fun and quirky - something I need in my life right now. I found the wines that were chosen for me to be delicious and high quality, plus way more convenient than an intimidating stop at the liquor store. All in all, this box was very well rounded, and I really enjoyed the entire experience.

I can’t even express how happy it makes me to see allergy friendly snacks in a sub!! Usually I can’t eat anything I get because I’m dairy, soy, and egg free due to my breastfed daughter’s intolerances. It’s wonderful to get to partake in the goodies!

Thanks for commenting Serena Bales! I’m glad that this is a snack you can enjoy! For being made out of chickpeas, they really did taste pretty good!
