First Impressions:

The brand this month is UMM Skincare! And it looks like this assortment contains a curation of both body care and a tea!

The Products

This box delivered four amazing products from this wonderful brand.

Let's dive in!

UMM: The Body Oil, 4 fl oz - Retail Value $64.99

Can we take a moment to appreciate this presentation? GOLD FLAKES in my body oil? I deserve such magic. And the oil itself is one of the most moisturizing I have used. My legs tend to get red bumps when I use lotions, so I am a body oil enthusiast. For whatever reason, I never get irritation with an oil. This one is heavier and to-the-max hydrating. It is a blend of almond, jojoba, safflower, grape seed, and sesame oil. It also has calming Ashwagandha and saffron. The scent is a blend of bright geranium and sexy ylang ylang, and the warming sensation makes this oil feel as magical as it smells.

UMM: Imperfectly Perfect Bar, 4 oz - Retail Value $19.99

Admittedly, I am not a bar soap sort of babe. Will, on the other hand, loves nothing more in his shower experience than a hard rock of soap. I knew he would have to be the tester here. My husband is a man of, well, few words, so I might embellish his thoughts here a little. A few ingredients before we see what lyrical praises Will creates: this bar is mostly olive and coconut oil, with other fatty and skin-loving oils included too. It also has detoxifying clay and smells like oranges, earth, and cloves. I quite liked the scent. Will described it as "nice" which is actually pretty high praise from him. He also mentioned liking the gentle grittiness of the soap and how it made him feel "clean but not dry". I didn't tell him this bar of soap has a retail value of $20. He doesn't understand how much really great soap can cost, and I don't want to ruin this for him.

UMM: Hand & Body Butter, 8 oz - Retail Value $49.99

Anyways, back to me. I am obsessed with this body butter. It smells so sexy and good! The notes here are jasmine, sandalwood, juicy currants, and roses. This stuff smells fancy and expensive. The texture is as luxe as the smell, heavy and decadent but still absorbing well, though it does leave me a little shiny. It is the sort of moisturizer that keeps you velvety all day, with superstars like aloe, shea, sunflower seed oil, and vitamin E inside. This is the perfect sort of formula to apply before putting on some cozy sweatpants and hopping into bed.

UMM: IM.MU.NI.TY Tea, 1.2 oz - Retail Value $14.99

It feels like a long, long time since I did any tea reviews. I used to review tea subscriptions but my favorite one ended up disappearing. I guess I actually haven't had much tea at all lately, which kind of makes me sad as someone who used to have at least 2 cups a day. Well, this is a nice start back to that habit. Here is a peek at the ingredients:

Organic tulsi leaf, organic rooibos herb, organic gymnema sylvestre leaf, organic cinnamon bark, organic turmeric root, organic haritaki herb and organic hibiscus flower.

What is interesting about this blend is that it combines warmer ingredients (cinnamon, turmeric) with brighter notes like hibiscus. The tulsi (holy basil) is a great anti-inflammatory while rooibos teas are high in antioxidants. I enjoyed this one solo, but if you want a little sweetness, raw sugar or honey would be a great compliment to this earthy yet floral brew. There are 15 bags inside.

Verdict

See New: The Skincare Box was a little unexpected this month, but I enjoyed it as always. I can see some subscribers being less into things like tea and soap, but I felt like it was a nice trip outside the skincare norm. I do think the body oil is my pick from this assortment, though the body butter is a very close second. The total value here lands at $149.96 for a $56 cost.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

See New is my favorite subscription, but this is my FAVORITE box so far. The soap, body butter, and oil have been a game changer for me. I use a lot of KP scrub for my skin but with these 3 products I have no use for it. My skin is silky and bump free. I will absolutely purchase all 3 again. Thank you @SeeNew

This is such a fabulous box. The body oil was/is such a treat. I have enjoyed the tea as a nightly routine, looking forward to experiencing more UMM in the future.

Such a great box! I haven’t tried the tea yet but I’m using the oil and body butter like my life depends on it!! I no longer have to use KP bump eraser for my bumpy skin, this does the trick. The soap smells divine and is a wonderful addition to my shower routine.

My body has felt so dry lately, had to get this with the half off code, thanks for the tip y’all!

I actually got 2, one for me and one for a housewarming gift for my mom. So no shipping! Two of these babies for $70! So excited.

A super lovely box…I think my favorite so far! Of course, going against the grain, the tea and bar soap are the highlights for me. I hope See New does more boxes like these as I am so weary of putting anything slightly exotic on my face now. And hey, Megan, there’s nothing wrong with a man of few words…makes for a quieter home! 😋

Mine is on the way. Even without it being in my hands, I KNOW this will be my favorite SN box. It’s definitely the best skin care box. I liked the recent Honua box better than the first Honua box from SN. Gifted one to my sister for Easter. She’s getting hers today.

Best subscription hands down. Honua was my favorite box yet, this is a close second.

The body oil was one of my favorites from this past discovery. The scent is heavenly without being overwhelming which in my opinion is very hard to do well. Great box see new

The body butter is unbelievable. Smells so, so lovely. I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need to keep a $50 body butter in my life once this tub is gone. 😂
