GlobeIn "Bash Box" Review

Napkin Holder, Thailand – Retail Value: $33.00

Measurements: 5.5"W x 3"L x 6"H

Materials: Acacia wood

I have to admit that the napkin holder was almost nostalgic when I pulled it out of the box. It reminded me of the times I'd visit my grandmother and she would serve us huge amounts of food. Every single time, I'd help her in the kitchen and refill her ceramic napkin holder. This particular piece actually matches the wood accents in my apartment and will be a little homey touch on my kitchen table. However, instead of filling it with paper napkins, I'll store cloth napkins in an effort to continue a sustainable lifestyle.

Tall Flared Drinking Glass in Green, Morocco – Retail Value: $17.00

Measurements: 3"Dia x 4.75"H; 6 oz capacity

Materials: Glass

As I'm building my little home in NYC, I'm always looking to add unique home pieces with tons of personality. And these drinking glasses are just that. Green is my favorite color, so I literally squealed in delight when I unwrapped these two glasses. If I'm using them for anything else other than water, it'd be a great serving size. They also seem very sturdy so I won't be scared of putting them in the sink with other plates and bowls. I cannot wait to share these with my friends and parents when they visit.

Raffia Woven Ceramic Bowl in White, Morocco – Retail Value: $45.00

Measurements: 7.5"Dia x 3.5"H

Materials: Raffia, ceramic

Another great piece with personality. This isn't just an ordinary white bowl as it has nice raffia details at the top. In case you didn't know, raffia is a palm species used to make some goods. I see it nicely complementing my tiny kitchen showing off the latest fruits and veggies I got from the market.

THE VERDICT

The Bash Box reminded me how much I would love to start hosting dinner parties with my friends and family. The napkin holder, the ceramic bowl, and the green water glasses will pull together any lunch or dinner you share either with yourself or others. Once more, GlobeIn provided me with pieces I had no idea I needed and those that I probably would not have picked by myself. But don't get me wrong, I freakin' love them.

KW

I have repurposed this type of napkin holder as counter storage to hold my favorite cutting boards (and I use a basket to hold my cloth napkins).

Hi KW- I hope you see this, can you advise the new way GlobeIn works? Are you able to choose each product or are you given a choice of boxes to pick from? Thanks

Hi Lyn, any update from GlobeIn?

@MSA is this info current? Months ago they switched to you, the subscriber curating your own box by choosing items from different categories. I think you could pick 3 products, possibly 5 if you wanted the bigger box. I read this review excited to see how they laid this out as I would subscribe if I could pick each item. However, your review says you choose from selected boxes, which is their old way. Can you confirm which is correct? Or can a subscriber confirm? Thanks

Choosing your own items is an option, or you can choose a themed box.
