GlobeIn "Cozy Box" Review

Gallito Palm Leaf Basket in Purple, Mexico – Retail Value: $17.00

Measurements: 6" x 5"

Materials: Palm leaf

The basket was one of the first things I noticed when I opened my GlobeIn package. It honestly seemed like the team read my mind when they sent me this because I had actually been on the search for a similar product to use as a catch-all bowl for my keys, wallet, and small things I take with me every time I go out. The stunning purple weaving really adds a pop of color to my otherwise, simple decor at home. I actually loved reading where the basket had come from and seeing a face to who made it. Even though this is a basket with a lid, I actually use it as two separate bowls. I could not be happier.

Fair Trade Cocoa Powder, Ghana – Retail Value: $5.00

Measurements: 4.4 oz

Materials: 100% cocoa powder

This hot chocolate powder just screamed luxury and decadence when I opened it. Of course, with it being winter, I immediately had to try it – and if you love thick, strong chocolate, you'll absolutely love this. Four ounces might seem like a small amount, but I've actually dipped into it weekly and it's barely even making a dent. I'm usually someone who prefers to make hot chocolate from actual chocolate bars, but I'll be reaching for this until the end of winter.

Fair Trade Scarf, Thailand – Retail Value: $30.00

Measurements: One-size fits all

Materials: 100% cotton

When I first saw this scarf inside the box, I couldn't help but notice just how soft and unique the weaving pattern was compared to our typical ones. It also made the perfect gift for my partner, who never leaves the house without wearing a scarf. The way it was packaged made it the perfect anniversary gift and he immediately tried it on and has been wearing it ever since. The gray color is perfect for any outfit and it's long to actually wrap a couple of times around his neck.

Hand-painted Malika Mug, Morocco and Tunisia – Retail Value: $22.00

Measurements: 6" x 4" x 5"

Materials: Stoneware Ceramics

Saving the best for last, this hand-painted mug was actually my favorite item in the Cozy Box. Although it would be the perfect mug for those mornings where I can't seem to drag myself out of bed, I much rather use it as a small vase for flowers. I really didn't want to risk it getting chipped or breaking the handle – even if it was dishwasher and microwave safe. The stunning colors add a great pop of color to my living room and it just helps an air of lived-in to my apartment. I actually filled it with potpourri and my apartment has never smelled better.

THE VERDICT

The GlobeIn Cozy Box had a very homey feel to it. It was full of products that I most likely would never pick up at a store but would love to have. In my opinion, the membership price justifies the items that were sent as you most likely would need to travel to Mexico, Thailand, and Ghana to find them. All in all, I'm very happy because I'm actually enjoying and using everything I was sent.
