Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus-size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • You’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials as you shop.

Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your cart or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call Fabletics customer service to do so.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

About Fabletics

The Subscription Box: Fabletics VIP Membership

The Cost: $49.95 a month, which goes towards the cost of the outfits curated for you. Outfit cost varies, but you’ll only be charged for what you choose to actually buy. If you want, you can choose to skip the month, and you won’t be charged. If you don’t spend your $49.95 or choose to skip, Fabletics will charge you the $49.95 and save it as store credit for you to use later.

The Products: High-quality, on-trend athletic clothing curated to fit your size, style, and needs. Think leggings, tops, shorts, and outerwear for yoga, running, and all kinds of other activities.

Fabletics Plus Size August 2021 Review

I will be reviewing the Rylee SculptKnit Tank, and the High-Waisted SculptKnit Pocket Leggings, and The Solidarity Mask this month!

Rylee SculptKnit Tank in Fiesta, Size 3x, Retail Value $44.95 (VIP Price $34.95, VIP 50% Off Sale Price $17.48)

I keep saying I avoid pinks and purples, but here I am in the brightest 80s Barbie Magenta I have ever seen! I have reviewed Fabletic's SculptKnit line in past reviews, so I figured with the 50% off sale I might as well go for another SculptKnit workout ensemble. I assumed this was another sports bra made from the SculptKnit material and was really displeased by the lack of support. However, the site clearly indicates this is a tank. If you are well endowed in the chest like moi, do not rely on this alone at the gym. Ensure you wear a sports bra underneath this to make sure you are covered and secure. Aside from that issue, the fabric is ultra stretchy, comfortable, and soft-- all things to love!

High-Waisted SculptKnit Pocket Legging in Fiesta, Size 3x, Retail Value $79.95 (VIP Price $59.95, VIP 50% Off Sale Price $29.98)

Unlike the tank, these SculptKnit leggings provide ample support and structure. I feel these give loads of compression, but I might prefer the PowerHold leggings on that front. I love how incredibly high-waisted these leggings are-- not once did I worry about being exposed when moving or bending. I would wear these out for errands, on a trip (especially on a plane), lounging around the house, or at the gym just the same!

The Solidarity Mask--  Retail Value $7.95 (Currently sold out)

Sure, a lot of folks are vaccinated and mask mandates have been removed, but your girl is still keeping her distance and masking up when in crowded and/or indoor places. Since I am still wearing masks, I still aim to wear cute ones. This bright pink one is comfortable and I can breathe better in this one than the one I reviewed in September 2020. I made the error of thinking this pink mask and outfit matched, but that is okay! I like the bright pink against the more blue-toned magenta shade. I am excited to use this one if I do decide to go back to a public gym!

Verdict: This month's Fabletics ensemble is incredibly vivid and bright-- like the summer sun! The tank is comfortable, though lacking support. I love the leggings and mask because I will get a ton of wear and usage from both items. I am consistently impressed by the quality of Fabletics products. However, I do need to air my typical grievance: size options. This outfit's largest size offered is the 3x (which I happen to be). It is imperative that Fabletics continue to offer 4x options, post pictures of their 4x pieces on people of that size, and expand their size range to go up to 6x. A lot of people are aware that they offer plus-size options, but might not be aware they go up to 4x sizes. Representation matters and Fabletics works with some amazing plus-size influencers and bloggers, but I would love to see them branch out and be even more inclusive. I want my friends that are a size 28 or 30 to be able to wear quality activewear as well! That frustration aside, I love that they update their merchandise every Thursday as well as the frequent sales! Who doesn't love a sale? I love having access to a wide selection and also getting a good deal! I managed to get everything in this review during a sitewide 50% off sale-- your girl likes a bargain! This month's selections were fun, but are you as eager as I am to see what is in store for next month's review?

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I am glad to say that the tank and leggings are available still! Sign up here to nab these and other plus-size workout gear from Fabletics.

Value Breakdown: The SculptKnit leggings and tank along with the mask retail for $132.85, but after the VIP discount and sale I managed to only spend $40.91! That means I saved a total of $91.94 which is roughly a 69% savings! That is phenomenal!
