Hello there! Is there a certain day that the Boxy’s are sent out?

I just subscribed to Boxycharm on 07/02/21. I see that add-ons will be available starting 07/12. I was wondering if add-ons are some of the same items you may receive in your box. If so, do you usually know what is in your box by the time add-ons are available in order to avoid buying something you are already getting? I would appreciate any clarification on this. Thanks!

No, you won’t know what’s coming in your box, unless you get your box before addons start. It’s stupid how they do it. A lot of people complain about it, but sadly, Boxycharm isn’t known for listening to their customers lol.

I agree. I’ve been an on and off customer since they first began and I still have charms I haven’t used bc the way that they do this is so dumb. You would think they would listen to us, the consumer. I’m done with them yet again!

I just have the small ipsy bag so I can access the sales and addons. I also do the glam bag x every quarter as well because that has more makeup then skincare usually. For boxycharm I am not subscribed full time. I usually look ahead for spoilers so I know what will be in the add on store or boxy pop-up. Then I know when to resubscribe again. Otherwise it has become a waste of my money.

The prices are outrageous and they keep putting the same recycled products every month. Why can’t they add new items that we haven’t seen month after month? I haven’t bought anything from addons/pop up since march.

I received an email from Boxy yesterday telling me they were giving me a $12 credit for pop-up because they sent me a product in this month’s box that doesn’t match my skin tone. I’ve already canceled all my levels other than the base box which I’ve been holding onto so I can shop the sales. The thing is, ever since IPSY acquired Boxy, I am noticing the pricing on items in the Boxy sales are steadily going up and I am also starting to receive duplicate products in my IPSY bag after I purchase them in a Boxy sale. For instance, this month I purchased the Fenty liquid lip in the Boxy add-on sale and then it was a choice (the exact same color) in my IPSY Plus bag. I mean I obviously don’t think they are doing this on purpose or anything, I just think there is going to be a lot more of this happening now and I’ve decided it’s time to shop my stash and let most of my boxes go. I think there comes a certain point where the thrill is gone. Although I will miss my $5 Spongelles SO VERY VERY MUCH! 🙂

I feel the same way. I wanted to cancel Ipsy but I had alot of points so I just cashed them in but now have to wait for next months box to get the items but then I’m cancelling Ipsy. I also went down to only base for Boxycharm but them saw the Anastasia takeover box for Premium so I switched to Premium. I have over $100 of Charms to cash in though so I’m waiting for some good stuff in the Charm Room before I cancel. I’ve noticed the repetition between Boxy and Ipsy as well. I have boxes and boxes full of unused product so it’s time to strategically cancel my subs while still cashing in on what I’ve earned by sticking with them so long. I figure if anything, I’ll resub to Boxy for a short time in October so I can hit up the sales for some Christmas gifts but then I’ll cancel again after the holidays. I have a stash of the Spongelles to hold me over until then, lol.
