Benefit had a brow pen like this a while back but there were issues w/ it so they stopped making it. Can’t remember the exact reasons but I believe they were component related. If u just imagine how those pens work and the thin size of pencil products inside, there’s liable to be problems with Quality and breaking due to the mechanics of how those pens work and spring back etc… Also, good liners are trickier to make than they appear bc smooth creamy ones are delicate and can crumble easily, while stronger ones usually have a scratchy or waxy texture. So the components alonf with product thickness are usually more important than you realize. Just a reminder to keep your expectations within reason 🙂

I loved that pen from Benefit, I was so sad when the pens stopped popping up it was so good.

The brow one is quite good, the thin pencil of each shade is encased in plastic, so after you pop up your shade, you twist a tiny bit out. Using it daily for several months now and I’m happy with it, looking forward to trying this one!

Full spoilers are up on the site when I log in, I can click on July’s box

Please excuse my ignorance here…but who or what is this AHB takeover about?

Thanks.

No problem! This month’s BoxyCharm Premium box has nothing but Anastasia Beverly Hills products in it.

Michelle

Am I reading the above spoilers correctly??-what is shown is going to be in every base box? I know there is choice and I selected the Farmacy product (which I love!). So I can expect to receive the pen, the CBD leave in conditioner, eye patches, and Beauty Bakerie powder as the remaining 4 products? If so I am really pleased.
BTW-the pen is being reviewed on YouTube. The shades in the pen are beautiful but the eyeliner and highlighter seem to be very waxy and hard to apply or blend.

I read it as everyone who receives the pen will receive it in Make A Mauve. Not that all subscribers will receive the pen.

I’m sorry but I didn’t read it that way, just that everyone gets the pen in Make A Mauve.

Michelle

Thank you for helping. I think the heading Full Spoilers confuses me. Lol.

Amanda

I actually cancelled my base and went to premium when I found out there was gonna be an ABH takeover but I’m with the rest of y’all on that pen. It looks pretty interesting!! It’s like combining 2 of my all time favorite items. I’ve always been fascinated by those pens since I was little but they’re combining it with my other love of makeup!!! Just seems like a win!!! Haha

Merlisha

Me too! I’m not even getting this box, but I really want to try it.

*this was supposed to be a response to the pen comment lol

I chose the Farmacy Whipped Greens cleanser, and I’m excited to get the pen and would really like the eye patches too. July box looks good actually.

Amy

These are NOT FULL SPOILERS. New members do not get choice, there were more items than those two in choice and this doesn’t even mention the codes for the bonus item choice plus $10 coupon for the sale.

MSA do better

Michelle

Agreed. This is inaccurate for starters, but also poorly worded and confusing. This site has changed a Lot…

I was totally over boxy cause of my horrible box last month… but I really want to try that pen!! I could use the eye patches, conditioner, and setting powder too. I’m almost out. This month looks a lot better than last!

Has anyone noticed they started putting items in the premium box that were in the base box a month or two prior? I wouldn’t be too happy if I got the premium box!

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

They must have a way of keeping track because I’ve never gotten an item in my premium that I’ve also already gotten in a base box. I have, however, gotten items in base that I’ve already gotten in premium or luxe.

Angela

I just canceled. Completely over beauty boxes now. Especially this one.

Erin

Same 🤦‍♀️ Completely over it. I loved the Ipsy x Khloe bc the products were fantastic but reg ipsy glam bag+ lately=bleh ~ allure=repetitive & not worth the price ~ Even BoxyLuxe disappointed last month. I spend $85.00/month on makeup boxes, an additional $50.00ea for a BoxyLuxe or GlambagX. I can buy a lot of good books instead and just recycle my personal stash…far cheaper than paying for recycled stash. Please… please 🙏 Anyone who can hear me!! 🔊 Give us a throwback 🙏 Surprise me again!! Take me back to the days where sweeping everything off my table in excitement had nothing to do w sex…It was all about the boxes!! C’mon.

@Jessica – I got that bottle of soap, too, and it was my first – and last! – BoxyLuxe. Here’s the kicker(s): that hand wash is discontinued, the company that made it no longer exists! And they were charging $22 per bottle when they sold it, not $25. Some r e d d i t “investigators” found there is different info on the bottle under the label, too.

I usually sell what I don’t want but selling this hand soap is cost prohibitive so I’m stuck with it. I haven’t used it yet, sucks to find out it’s drying to boot!

Jessica

I freaking love ColourPop and have been a fan since 2016 I believe. My 1st order was some of the Super Shock Shadows and I’ve been in love since! Price point is Amazing, the products are comparable to some high end, and they have so much of a variety of makeup and skincare. They carry almost everything you need for your makeup & skincare needs, cruelty free and some vegan. Boxy just isn’t doing it for me , this is my 2nd time back & I’m leaving. I got the BoxyLuxe last month for the 1st time and honestly it was crap. They sent me a hand wash that literally dried out my hands and it’s a $25 bottle! I received a body wash as well that smelled horrible and I’m not the most picky person when it comes to body washes. I love to smell good and it’s nice to have your favorite smell while taking a shower ,but if I end up not loving a scent I know I can use scented lotion and some perfume… I just couldn’t stand the smell of this one. So I’m going to do the same. I’ve had ipsy , allure , birtchbox & glossybox in the past, but I always liked Boxy. Things have definitely changed. So good idea!

🤣🤣🤣 For real!

Prettypony

ColourPop Is really good. Their makeup is insanely good. The price point is amazing. All of their eyeshadows are so pigmented and apply really great. I also really love their Lippie Sticks. I love the color of them, and they are easy to apply. It is a great brand! I am sad because I want the My Little Pony colab they did a while back!

Nicole

Colourpop is having a 30% off site wide sale right now. I took the money I would have spent on Ipsy Plus and X, since I cancelled and I spent it there. I already know that their eyeshadow rivals and sometimes exceeds the higher end pallets in my collection and I just discovered that they have skincare! I got 3 skincare products, 3 pallets, a super shock duo and an eyeliner with what I saved on those subscriptions. I bought into a year of FFF because I really loved my 1st box with them, but I am leaving my Ipsy behind. I absolutely do not need anymore make-up and oddly enough I am finding that I like a lot of the cheaper skincare over the high end.💁 Don’t get me wrong, there are a few higher end products that I will never let go of, it just all seems kind of over rated now that I know what I like.

Prettypony

I thought Boxy premium did good by the AHB takeover. That looks like it is going to be a great box. I actually signed up for X in August. I think August looks really good. I agree, the regular Ipsy glam bag has been kinda of blah lately. Allure actually surprises me each month. I end up finding something I really like out of each box. From the Allure spoilers I thought the same thing, however I always seem to find one product I love in it.

Prettypony

I am actually kind of excited to try that pen. It looks kind of neat!
