Bespoke Post “Grill” Review
It’s officially grilling season around here so this seemed like an ideal box this month! They included this helpful list of items to build your perfect Surf’n Turf menu.
Kabob Baskets by Charcoal Companion – Retail Value $25.99
The main item in our bag is a set of four non-stick Kabob baskets. They have a nice wooden handle and make for a much easier Kabob since there is no skewering involved. We can simply place our meat or veggies in the basket and get a perfect grill without worrying about pieces falling off, sticking to the skewer, or even worse, sticking to the grill. These should allow for the food to cook evenly since we can easily rotate them while on the grill.
They have little clips to hold the top part on the basket while allowing you to open it fully to fill or empty the basket and there is a little slide to hold the basket closed during grilling which makes it easier to flip if you need to! I’m looking forward to cooking all sorts of delicious foods in these little baskets and I love that I won’t have to mess with any skewers! The weather hasn’t permitted us to do any grilling this week, but I know we will be putting these to use as soon as we can.
Basting Brush by Get It Right – Retail Value $14.95
They did provide another great cooking tool for us, this stay-cool platinum-grade silicone basting brush. It is BPA-free and heatproof up to 550 degrees making it perfect for adding some extra flavor to your grill items. This brush is also dishwasher safe which I am grateful for because I’ve found that these types of brushes are hard to get clean due to the bristles being somewhat densely packed (which is also what makes them great for brushing since they hold the liquid!). This is a nice long brush too at just over 14 inches long which is great for keeping your hands a good distance from the grill flames.
Lyon Kitchen Towel by KAF Home in Pewter – Retail Value $12.00
This towel is much too nice for me to ever use around the greasy grill, but I’m glad to have it as a new kitchen towel. It’s a really elegant towel with a decent thickness and it is absorbent, simple, and chic. It’s also a rather large towel at 20″x30″ and it is made from 100% cotton. Depending on how this one washes up, I might consider incorporating some more of these towels into my kitchen since it is so stylish!go
Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Borgo de’Medici Cucina, 8.4 oz – Retail Value $14.95
Included in our box was this unique tin of 100% cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil to grill with. This is bottled in Italy and is made with olive oils of “European Union origins.” I haven’t used it for anything other than a tablespoon in some pancake mix the other day, but I sampled some, and I thought the flavor seemed to be nice and mild, and while I’m no expert, I think the quality is good! I love the tin and think it would make for a good display tin, too.
Jalapeno Salt by Spiceology, 1 oz. – Buy a 16 oz jar for $23.99
The last item we have is a little bit of seasoning. This jalapeno salt is made with just salt and jalapeno powder and it is overall very mild in flavor. It says it would be good for chicken, avocado, eggs, or cocktails. My husband’s first thought was a margarita! I think it sounds like a good idea for some chicken and when we are able to get the grill out, that’s what I plan on testing it on!
Verdict: I love the seasonal offerings that Bespoke Post has to offer and this box full of unique grilling items seemed like a great summer pick! The grill baskets are unique and very useful if you enjoy grilling while the basting brush, olive oil, and spice all felt like a nice complement to them that will help us get grilling right away! The nice quality dish towel felt like a great bonus to me, and I can always use an extra one (I’m a messy cook)! The total retail value of our items comes to about $67.89 and that’s not including the jalapeno salt, so I think we did pretty well for a $48.95 ($45 +$3.95 shipping) box!
To Wrap Up:
COUPON: Use code ADDICT25 to 25% off your first box.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $45 + $3.95 shipping which means each of the 5 items in this box has an average cost of about $9.79.
