Pusheen Box "Rainy Day" Spring 2021 Review

Each box includes a simple info card that has a cute Pusheen print on the front that coincides with the theme and a run-down of all of the items on the back.

Pusheen Umbrella

I so wish this umbrella was made out of thicker vinyl because it is so very cute! The clear plastic is trimmed with mint edges and features a border of our fave kitten in shades of green, blue, and mint. Alas, this material feels really thin and fragile! Sure, I will absolutely be extra careful with it, but I don't know that this umbrella could handle a real storm for very long.

Pusheen Raincoat

Again, this material could have been thicker. Though the cut and style are more like a traditional raincoat, the material itself feels more like a vinyl poncho you might grab at a baseball game. I still totally plan on wearing this during the next storm though. It is beyond precious and the oversized shape is comfortable. The Pusheen pattern is somehow subtle but still very on-brand for this cute box.

I actually waited for real rain for this picture!

Pusheen Candle Holder

I actually thought this was a jewelry dish when I first saw it, but according to the info card, it is actually a candleholder! I am sure you could totally use it for either purpose or even maybe as a bar soap holder in your guest bath. It is made out of metal and features the minty teal Pusheen snuggled up against the edge.

Pusheen Floor Mat

This is so cute! I love functional items like this and the faded colors and retro vibe are perfect for placing this mat underneath Birdie's food bowls. The reverse of the mat is rubbery so it won't slip and will (hopefully) stay put where I place it.

Pusheen Tissue Holder

Fun Megan fact: I don't blow my nose like ever. It freaks me out. I just suffer through colds as a slightly gross mouth breather. It's real cute. Because of this, there aren't often tissue boxes floating around the house. So this might end up being a regift. If you are a tissue enthusiast, this is going to delight you. For me, I just think it was maybe the most unique item in the box this month.

Pusheen Mirror

I feel like maybe I am being too picky this quarter, but this mirror just felt, well, too big to be a compact mirror. Seriously, it's almost the size of my whole hand! I do love that it is cute as heck and also has both a regular mirror and magnification mirror inside. I think I can get used to the big size and at least I guess I never run the risk of losing it in my purse!

Prrrr.

Pusheen Bookmarks

Most of the books I enjoy these days are audiobooks, but I still make time on the weekends to deep dive into my giant collection of art books and these little bookmarks are the perfect page keepers. They are textured plastic and are slightly sheer, featuring little slots to stick over your pages.

Pusheen Hat

This is one cute hat! I love the mint color and the denim texture. It fits my oversized noggin really well (it's 23 inches around) but is very adjustable if you have a normal size head. The front features an embroidered script design and everyone's fave kitten.

Tucker does hats really well.

Umbrella Pusheen Figure

This little mint Pusheen is holding her clear umbrella proudly and enjoying some sprinkles. I am screaming at the little toe beans on the underside of this figure! How does this box outdo itself in terms of pure adorableness every single quarter? And the tiny paw on the ground for balance? I can't.

Verdict: This Pusheen Box had some quality issues in my opinion, but the value and cuteness were abundant still. I am still over the moon in love with that little figurine. It is probably my favorite yet from this subscription. I loved the mint color scheme this month and thought it was very springy. Though the umbrella and raincoat were a bit too thin, I still plan on wearing them next time it is sprinkling to see how they fare. I have already worn the cap to a local baseball game (just as fun as I remember) and, though Birdie is indifferent about the mat, I love it.

I appreciate this review. It’s well-written and fair. There are a lot of cute items, but quality is lacking somewhat. Personally–and I’ve read other reviews that echoed this–the box I received smelled pretty terrible (like rotten fish), but eventually dissipated.

Spring? Is the shipping this bad or was this review delayed for some other reason?

OMG TUCKER!!! So adorable!

Again, they did really well with ideas for items in the box, but most everything seems so thin and cheap. Quickly destined to add to the earth’s overflowing garbage heap. I really hope they go back to their former high quality standards!

I cancelled Pusheen Box after indulging in it for a while … the Celestial fall 2020 box was my last one, but this one is SO CUTE! I may have to try to find some of the items on eBay. From the spoilers, the figurine was the only thing that tempted me because I already have a cute raincoat and several umbrellas from CatLadyBox. Great review!

I’m not a Pusheen fan, but bought this box for the raincoat. I needed something for taking the dog out in the rain and it’s perfect – long enough to cover most of my legs (I’m short 🙂 ) and light enough not to be cumbersome.

If you found that your compact mirror is broken (you look into the magnifying side and see yourself upside down or not at all), email the company. They will send you a new one. It’ll still be impossible to see out of it, but you’ll at least be the right way up.

This was my first and only Pusheen box; I subscribed just for the umbrella. I kept it and the raincoat even though they are pretty thin and the raincoat is huge on me. The hat was a nice surprise–I really like it, and I’m not a hat person. I kept the bookmarks, gave the tissue box cover to a friend, and sold everything else on eBay. I did love the vinyl, but I really don’t need more knickknacks in my life.
It was fun to open and very cute, but I immediately felt guilty about getting a box of mostly plastic items when there is already enough waste in the world.

One of my cats has commandeered the mat. He mostly lays on it since it’s draped over a box next to my desk, but he will occasionally sharpen his claws on it or wrestle with a corner.

I like the hat and raincoat but agree that the umbrella is a little fragile.

I tried using the candle holder to actually hold a small candle. It’s a hazard for that as it easily fell over.

Tucker is too stinkin cute!

Pusheen isn’t really my thing but…I always think these boxes are so cute and the curation are so well thought out. Some of the other boxes need a class from this team. This is how you do it!

I feel the same! I would never order this box, but I read every review because it’s always so cute and well done.

Love love love Pusheen and when it comes to cuteness, Pusheen outdoes all others. But…the quality of the items in this box just no longer justifies the price to me. I used to get the box when the quality was, I think, somewhat better, but – and it pains me to say this – everything this month just looks extremely cheap and tacky (except for the figurine – but the figurine is not worth the price of the box to me).

I agree, I gifted myself an annual subscription last fall with hopes for the quality to go back to their previous standard but I have just continued to be disappointed. I definitely won’t be renewing.
