Bespoke Post “Cocoon” Review

This month nothing was really standing out to me, but then I saw this versatile blanket and figured it would be a great item to have on hand! They included some survival tips here, but I’m hoping we only need to use this out of convenience rather than for survival!

Klymit Versa Blanket – Retail Value $79.95

I love that this blanket folds up into a neat little pouch. This is so much more convenient for storage and travel. I plan on keeping this in our car so that we have it if we ever need it. This is essentially an insulated camping blanket that can also fold up into a travel-sized pillow. My parents used to have a similar, much smaller blanket/pillow combo in our van when we were younger for traveling and the pillow part always came in handy! The blanket is soft and airy, maybe not exactly a warm, fuzzy blanket, but it should suffice in cooler weather.

Some of the more unique features of this blanket are the triangle pockets at the corners which give you a place to put your hands and a larger pocket in the center at the bottom for your feet to both keep them warm and hold the blanket in place. On their website, it mentioned that it has a clip attached so that if you want to wear it cape style, it would be held in place and you can still have your hands free, but after checking my blanket over, I could find no such clip. Unfortunately, I think maybe it was an error in our description. While there is no clip there are little buttons in each corner that would allow you to achieve a looser cape or you can double the blanket up and snap it together for an even warmer layered blanket.

To turn it into a pillow you stuff the blanket inside of the foot pouch. I’m not sure I did this the correct way, but it worked and is actually a decent-sized pillow with a good amount of fluff to it!

When opened, this blanket measures 80″ x 58″ making it large enough to share which will be perfect for my family. Here you can see my almost 5-year-old on it with plenty of room for the rest of us to join him. I’m glad that it’s machine washable since we plan on using it outdoors and while camping, which means it will inevitably be covered in sticky marshmallows at some point!

Verdict: I don’t think I’d ever pay almost $80 for a camping blanket, no matter how versatile it is, so purchasing this through Bespoke Post made it much more affordable and felt a bit more realistic, although I still think it’s kind of a luxury item! I love that this can be a blanket or a pillow, and in emergencies, it can provide extra warmth if we need it. It has some really cool features and I know it will be something that we get a lot of use out of since we spend a lot of time outdoors and in the car!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, this box is still available!
