AU Sugar Sugar Monthly Box of Sugar

AU Sugar Sugar is a bath and body product company that also offers a subscription box! Each month you can expect 3-4 small-batch, handcrafted items, many of which are new to the brand or exclusive to the box.

FYI: The brand recently changed its name from Ahhh Sugar Sugar to AU Sugar Sugar. Moving forward, they'll be focusing on hiring those who are on the autism spectrum and have updated their name to reflect this initiative.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

AU Sugar Sugar “You're Lucky Some Bunny Loves You” Review

This box arrives with information on the box lid that gives you more details about the brand.

It also comes with an info sheet detailing the products included this month.

AuSS Lemon Lime Jelly Beans Bath Frosting

The sweet scents abounded in this month's box, and to kick it off we had the jelly bean scented bath frosting. Bath frostings are a signature product from Au Sugar Sugar, and the mix of whipped soap and scattered exfoliating sugar granules cleanses and gently exfoliates your skin, without being stripping thanks to the oils and butters this is formulated with. You can expect a bath frosting almost every month from this subscription, and it’s nice that this brand continues to have such a variety of unique scents for a product I can regularly expect.

AuSS Lucky Little Ducky Whipped Meringue

It’s been a while since we got such a large jar of body lotion in this subscription, and I’m happy to see it. Plus, that cheery yellow color and duck on the packaging make me smile. This has a scent blend of marshmallows, lucky charms, and poppy seed muffins, and it’s sweet but not overwhelmingly so (at least to me -- I *do* have a sweet tooth though). This absorbs really well into damp skin when I step out of the shower, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or heavy. That’s a must for me with how muggy south Louisiana can be, but Au Sugar Sugar does a really nice job with the Shea butter and almond oil formula.

AuSS Jolly Rancher Cookies The Anywhere Spritzer

This spritzer can be used almost anywhere, just in case the name didn’t clue you in. The scent is described as a mix of watermelon jolly ranchers and sugar cookies, and at first spray, I picked up more on the sugar cookies before the scent drifted more into watermelon candy territory. I wouldn’t use this as a pillow spray, but it would be a nice room spray or body spray for a warm, sunny day.

AuSSPeep That Bath Bomb

I love receiving bath bombs, and these ones were so cute! I actually didn’t get any Easter candy this year (>:( ), so at least I had these cute peeps to enjoy in the bathtub. The streams of yellow and pink water as the bombs dissolved made me happy, and they smelled a little sweet but not too much so.

AuSS Tea & Cakes Hand Sanitizer

Oh hello, you generously sized hand sanitizer. Along with having the ability to kill germs, this is made with aloe vera and smells like tea and frosting. It’s an interesting scent combination, but I kind of dig it. This absorbed fast and wasn’t as drying as other hand sanitizers can be, so I’m calling it a win.

The Verdict: This month was a winner for me, and I think it would be a winner for anyone who likes sweet scents. I didn’t love last month's box, so I’m happy that this one was much more suited to my preferences. Plus, getting five items in larger sizes made the value feel like it was higher than last month, too. Everything sent in this subscription is made in small batches, and I appreciate the small touches throughout the products and packaging. If you’re looking for well-curated bath and body products in unique scents, with creative packaging and a great mission, I think this is a subscription worth checking out.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? No, but sign up today for the May box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $34.99 + $8.32 shipping ($43.31), which means each of the 4 items I received has an average cost of $10.83.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

Where is the April review?

Great review! I always read this sub’s reviews and always think how much I’d like and use these products. But I haven’t subbed it yet, because I’ve been getting Margot Elena for a year now and every bit of available shelf space in my shower and bathroom is taken! But this sub is def on my short list to add when some space opens up! And that yellow fluffy ducky product looks to die for. I’d happily slather that all over.

This box always looks so nice! Can you buy stuff from a shop or just the subscription? I’m not totally understanding their website. Just wondering bc I’ve been wanting to treat myself to some nice bath stuff, but I don’t have a lush nearby and online has a ton of stuff sold out. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Margot Elena has a lot of bath/shower/scent items, and tons of scents to choose from. Their bath salts come in a lovely reusable pouch (all of the packaging is A+++).
