Four Sigmatic Mushroom Cacao with Reishi - Retail Value $20.00

I've always wanted to try this product, and it lived up to the hype. It wasn't as delectable as my normal sugar-loaded hot chocolate, but I liked the rich flavor. This is a shocker, but it really did curb my sweet tooth cravings. Reishi mushroom has stress-supporting properties, so this blend is best used at night.

Smooth and soothing, this cup was very enjoyable, especially topped off with a few marshmallows and whipped cream!

All Good SPF 30 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, 1oz - Retail Value $5.99

First impression? This is liquid gold! Impressed is an understatement; I am loving this velvety lotion. It has a thinner consistency, especially for a zinc-based, natural sunscreen. I didn't notice a white cast (take into account that I am very, very pale), and it didn't feel oily or greasy on my face, even after several hours of wear. I am very excited to put this to work this summer!

Joséphine Cosmetics Lip/Power The Bold Liquid Lipstick in Tiphaine in Margeaux - Retail Value $30.00

Liquid lipsticks and I have been feuding since they made their debut. I think they look stunning on everyone else, but when I wear them, I can't help but stare at all the creases in my lips, and no matter how plumped and hydrated my lips are, I haven't found one matte formula I absolutely love. I didn't do any prep work before applying, but I thought this bold lippie went on smoothly and very evenly.

Despite my dislike for dry, matte lips, I really liked this cool berry color. I haven't worn any lipstick for months, sadly, since masking became the norm, so this pop of color really cheered me up!

Glaminizers Serenity Oil - Retail Value $21.00

I can hear Frank Costanza belting out "Serenity now! Serenity now!" as he sniffs the pulse point on his wrist for a whiff of this calming essential oil. Essential oils weren't really a thing when Seinfeld aired, but he definitely could have benefitted from some aromatherapy. The main notes I get from this blend are lavender and spearmint. This fragrance is subtle, and it didn't stay with me very long. It was definitely a pick me up, though, and I'll get plenty of use out of this handy roll-on.

Rosatyque Binchotan Charcoal Clarifying Black Mask - Retail Value $6.00

Charcoal can do wonders for a complexion. It is known for its cleansing and purifying properties, but the only effect I got from this mask is a headache from the fragrance. I avoid fragrance in skincare as much as possible; it is unfortunate this was so potent because I absolutely love using charcoal products on my face. I applied the mask, but it only stayed on for a minute or two before the rosa Damascena water (assuming that is the source of the scent) became too overbearing. Even though it was short-lived, my face felt squeaky clean after I rinsed the leftover serum from my face.

Verdict: February's Kinder Beauty Box was a mixed bag. I enjoyed the majority of its content, but the liquid lipstick and the perfumey mask were not for me. I did, however, find my SPF soulmate, which made this shipment so worth the cost. I can't tell you how many natural sunscreens I have been through that were either too thick, greasy, or left an obvious white cast. I could go on and on, but let me just say this product will bless my face every day henceforth. I was happy to have finally tried the Four Sigmatic Hot Cacao, and I also enjoyed Glaminizer's Serenity rollerball, which offered a moment of calm in this crazy household. This month's box had a retail value of $82.99, a great value for a $25 box!

This box always looks so tempting. Then I am reminded that they do (very oftentimes disappointingly different) variations and you have to get that damn “Favorites” box before you can get any of the stuff that is actually advertised/spoiled. I do wish they’d stop with that nonsense or just make it an option to pick at checkout, as I am sure someone that is not me would like it.
