Look Fantastic December 2020 Review

Included was a nice booklet with loads of info on our products this month.

The Balm Petal to the Metal Eye Shadow, 1.2 g – Estimated Value $11.00

And here we go! Our first item is a cream eyeshadow by The Balm in the color Shift Into Overdrive. I know this probably sounds crazy, but I've never used a cream eyeshadow before. The application went on a lot more smoothly and creamy in texture than a regular matte shadow.

I really like the gold/copper tone of this shadow. It also was super easy to remove with my eyeshadow cleanser. I'm sure you could use coconut oil as well (which is my go-to for all things makeup removal).

Avant Pro-Radiance Brightening Eye Final Touch, 10 mL – Retail Value $134.00

I don't know if it's me getting older, the super stressful 2020 we've just had, or lack of restful sleep, but the bags under my eyes have become so dark as of late. I've been looking for a product that can help, and I'm hoping this one is it! This eye cream helps to soothe fine lines, reduce eye bags, and smooth skin. The scent is fresh and the consistency is light, which makes having to apply morning and night easy-peasy.

Medik8 HYDR8 B5, 10 mL – Estimated Value $48.62

I am just at the point of my life where I am looking for solutions to fine lines, even skin texture, and hydration. Serums have become a constant in my home! I love this liquid hydration serum by Medik8. Another product with a natural, fresh scent. The drops are so moisturizing. My face felt so rejuvenated after using. Highly recommend.

Jecca Blac. Glow Drops, 20 mL – Retail Value $20.00

I still haven't quite mastered highlighting my face with highlighters. I don't know what I'm doing wrong...I need to practice a little more. Anyway, these glow drops in champagne by Jecca Blac are about to make my life a lot easier hopefully!

This is a primer to be used under makeup. The drops gave a nice shimmery glow to my skin. I don't think I'll use it all over my face as suggested. I will most likely use it as a highlighter -- on my cheekbones, tip of my nose, etc. I suggest using coconut oil to remove as the shimmer is always a little difficult to take off your skin.

Bella Pierre Pro Concealer Palette, 15 g – Estimated Value $24.00

This item was not listed in the booklet of items received, but I really dig it. This is a corrective palette, so can be used for redness, dullness, and evening skin tone.

I have yet to use a corrective palette, but I'm interested to see how this will work on my face. Will update!

Brush Works Double Ended Eye Brush – Retail Value $4.79

My final item is this cute double ended eye brush. I tend to lose brushes, so it's super useful when I have a brush with two different sized ends.

The top line has been applied with the shadow end. The bottom line has been applied with the liner end. Hopefully, I don't lose this one 🙂

The Verdict: This month's Look Fantastic Beauty Box has an estimated value of around $242.21! That's an extraordinary value for a box that costs $19. The liquid rehydration serum was absolutely my fave. My skin felt so soft and I'm excited to see how my skin improves with continued use!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be in January. (This page will let you know which box is currently available.)

Value Breakdown: At $19 for this box, each of the 6 items has an average cost of $3.17.

No offense but swatches do nothing for me I like seeing in use.

I’ve been using the eye cream and Im
not impressed. What has really helped my dark circles is applying JLo principles: no alcohol; no smoking and no caffeine. I noticed specially the consumption of caffeine makes my dark circles more pronounced.

The one ounce price is at $120.00 but it’s on salel for $84. So at 1 ounce it is $40 or at the sale price it is $28. I find that to be reasonable price for a quality serum. Especially if it does what it says it does. Most eye products sell in the half ounce as full size so this seems to be a good deal if its a good serum. I have spent from 20 to 200 dollars trying to find an eye cream I like. Mine favorits cost about 75 to 100 dollars but they last for 3 months so that 25 to 33 per month and thats a bargain to since it works.

That little Avant tube retails for $134?? I love all the Avant products I’ve gotten from beauty subscription boxes (thats also the only place I’ve ever seen Avant products) but they are definitely not worth their supposed retail values in my opinion. Especially a 10ml tube of eye cream being worth $134. Awesome review though!
