Bespoke Post “Wick” Review
My delivery came with the customary info card. My box this month contained FOUR soy wax candles. All of these burned about the same which makes sense because the only thing different from candle to candle is the scent. All are made with soy wax which I found to burn very evenly (no tunneling!) and each of the scents was strong enough to fill my first floor with scent if given a little time for the entire surface to melt.
This candle scent transports me to a damp forest for a weekend camping trip. The notes remind me of recently snuffed-out campfires, damp leaves, and tree bark. This candle is extremely masculine but also very natural, creating a sexy fragrance that flirts with my nose throughout the house.
Fragrance Notes: Dark Barrel Rum, Vanilla Bean, Oak.
FYI: This candle has about a 55-hour burn time.
This might be the sweetest-smelling candle of the bunch, but it is still very sophisticated. It is boozy and warm, and weirdly comforting with a scent I can’t quite place in my memory. I think the vanilla and woods work beautifully together and soften out the rum note.
This one smells like a no-frills cocktail enjoyed in an old bar filled with ancient wooden booths that creak loudly. The sort of place where the ice is hand-cut and the seats are all real leather. It is super warm and sultry, and just a little creamy.
This was the most herbal of all of the candles in this box and it has such a clean scent that makes me think of both my herb garden in the summer and freshly hewn timber. I also think this is the most “evergreen” sort of scent in the box, making it perfect for winter even with those herbaceous notes!
Verdict: This month’s Bespoke Post delivered some really, really beautifully scented candles. All of them burned brightly and evenly, and the scent throw was plentiful (especially going up my stairs before bed!). As a fan of more masculine scents, I adored all of these. My favorite? It is a hard choice between Hunter and Rhinebeck. But there wasn’t a dud in the bunch! If you are a candle addict (guilty) this is a great selection for you. I also thought the value was great since the 4 candles bought solo would total $72 and the box was $45. That is an easy yes in my book!

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.
Iβll admit that Iβve ordered this box twice and will probably order it again! I love these scents and this is a great deal. In my defense (lol) Iβve given at least 4 of these candles away as gifts.
I selected this box in December to give as a gift, and when I received it, they had packed two Beacon candles and left out the Rhinebeck scent. I was pretty bummed because I live in the Hudson Valley and actually planned to give the candles to a friend who lives in Rhinebeck. I sent a photo to Bespoke Postβs CS explaining what had happened and not only did they immediately send an entire replacement box, but made sure it arrived before Christmas. I canβt say enough good things about the company, the boxes, or their service!
Yes, their customer service rocks. My December box got lost in the mail and they did ask me to wait a few days (completely understandable given the post office delays) and then they followed up with me without me having to follow up with them. I wish my coworkers were like that. They shipped a replacement box to me via fedex to avoid the problems with the USPS. Very happy with how they handled it. My box did not arrive in time for Christmas (it was supposed to be a gift) but it worked out for me because I kept it for myself and love it (buzzed box).
Loved this box. Only problem is, husband insists on finishing up an apple spice [email protected] candle he bought from Walmart. If someone wants to sneak it away, you have my blessing.
I went to ALDI for the first time in the fall. It’s confusing if you’ve never been (line to get in just because it’s Wednesday, you need a quarter for a cart, and you bag your own items at checkout) so this group of women take me under their wing. They are all raving about ALDI’s amazing $6.99 3-wick candles (people were in line for these). I was skeptical but bought one. Talk about [email protected] Beth, I did not feel guilty about throwing that sucker in the trash that very night.
I ended up signing up with a different coupon code, but I could only find a 20% off..
The candles weren’t an option for the box, I did get to swap out the current choices for a nice Valentine’s box with a different candle and clay mask, but teeny bit disappointed. These looked awesome.
Lexxi whenever I have not been offered a certain choice that I see reviewed here I have found that if you go to the search feature on the Bespoke website and put in the name of the box you are looking for (in this case βWICKβ) it will pop up and if itβs in stock you can choose it that way. You are not limited to only the ones they offer you if you do this. If Iβm ever not feeling the choice Iβm offered in a given month I like to go back through the MSA reviews and pick one. Last month I got the slippers that were reviewed and I love them so much! Hope this helps!
Megan, great review! They should hire you to write descriptions of all their candles. How creative!
Iβve not tried those candles, but the company that makes them (Ash&Fir) produces a fabulous cone incense called βSaratogaβ which I received in one of the big black boxes that Bespoke sent out for their Black Friday promo. Itβs a great scent, not overpowering. very easy to live with – makes the home smell nice, but not in the βhey I just burned incenseβ sort of way.
I have been eyeballing incense on the Bespoke Post site. You are convincing me!
And writing scent descriptions is basically a dream job. Shower me in perfumes and candles!! <3
Love Bespoke!!! I received these candles as a gift and Bespoke is by far, my absolute favorite place to shop. Their subscription box is far superior to any other βhome, outdoor, anything for everyoneβ and the customer service is the absolute best.

I am super tempted to order a few more myself. More and more impressed with these as I burn through them!
They’re pretty big too!

Tell him it’s probably burning lead π
Oof Beth. I am with you. I can’t handle food scents and cheap food scents are somehow even worse.

You can ask CS to send you links to new boxes that are not presented to you. I have done that several times. their CS is the best!
Holy candles! The Hunter one is definitely calling my name βΊοΈ
It is SO GOOD!

The coupon code given is expired.
Hi Lexxi! We’ve connected with Bespoke Post, and the code is now working again. π
This is one of their “older” selections and it is a really good one. I highly recommend it if you are into unisex scents.

Hi, the coupon code says it’s expired when I try to use it?
