Miraculous Box Winter 2020 Review

Let me preface this review by saying that I am just barely familiar with the show Miraculous, and I think my daughter may have watched an episode or two at one point in time, but found it to be a bit too mature (she's 6). While we aren't well versed in this show, my mom does call my daughter her ladybug so ladybugs have been a thing in our house since she was born and I figured we would be able to appreciate this box. It also seems that this heroine could be a great role model from what I've read!

Our theme for this month is "Be a Hero." This card details the items we received this month.

Miraculous Exclusive Beanie

Let's start with the apparel. The first item is this beanie that reads "Claws Out" in glow in the dark writing and has a patch featuring Miraculous Ladybug's sidekick, Cat Noir. There are even little cat ears sewn in at the top. I like that this item is not only pretty gender-neutral but is also a generous size, so it should fit just about anyone! It's stretchy and cozy.

It's a bit big on my daughter, but she didn't seem to mind. It also fits my son's head which is a bit larger.

Miraculous Exclusive Ringer Tee, Size 6/8 (XS/S)

This tee is a fun design with the ringer style. While the back is branded, the front is simple and pretty with shimmery pink flowers. I think it looks really cute on her and the fit is great. She is a size 7/8 usually, so I think it is pretty true to size.

Here you can see it with the hat.

Miraculous Exclusive Slipper Socks

How cute are these ladybug print slipper socks? I don't know if I'd say they are the best quality, but they are soft and cozy with small rubber dots on the bottom to keep you from slipping in them. They each have a Miraculous Ladybug patch at the top of the socks for just a bit of branding.

The size is listed as "one size fits most youth" and while they are a bit big on my daughter, I was also able to wear them comfortably and I wear a size 9.5.

Miraculous Exclusive Snow Globe

This snow globe is actually pretty large and made of glass with a sturdy wood base. Inside is a flat acrylic stand featuring some of the "Kwamis" from the show and the words "Miraculous Power." When you shake it up there is gold, red, and green glitter. This is such a fun item to display!

Miraculous Exclusive Stickers

These two vinyl stickers are bigger than average and a bit thin. They would be great to add to a notebook or laptop for display!

Miraculous Exclusive Puzzle

This small jigsaw puzzle has 35 pieces and depicts Ladybug's crush from the series. My daughter loves puzzles so I know she will enjoy this, but I'm not quite sure what she will think of the subject matter at her age. Lol.

Miraculous Exclusive Bandana

This bandana is cute and features black polka dots with various phrases throughout along with images of Ladybug.

Miraculous Exclusive Jewelry Box

This little jewelry box is a cute and unexpected item! It's really simple, just a cardboard version with a mirror inside, but it will be a great way to keep some special trinkets safe. I love the bright red color inside!

Miraculous Exclusive Ceramic Mug

I saved the best item for last! At least, this is my favorite item since it's so unique and perfect for this time of year when hot drinks are a must. This simple black ceramic mug features Ladybug as her normal self, but when you add hot liquid to the mug, her Ladybug superhero persona shows up. This mug is handwash only and can't be microwaved, but my kids and I thought it was so cool.

Isn't that fun?

Verdict: This Miraculous Box was jam-packed! I wasn't sure what to expect with this new box, but I thought there were a lot of great, useful items and I thought they did a nice job of including a range of items for different ages. I liked that the mug, snowglobe, cozy socks, and beanie all felt like great seasonal items without being too season-specific. My daughter really liked the shirt and the jewelry box, too. This box costs $36.99 ($29.99 + $7 shipping) and with 9 exclusive Miraculous Ladybug items, it feels like a great value, especially when there were so many items I'd consider bigger ticket items such as the mug, snow globe, and tee. This was a fun box and one I think fans of the show will appreciate!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication this box is still available!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 + $7 shipping, which means that each of the 9 items in the box has an average cost of $4.11.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

My 5 year old loves this show. Got the box in time for Xmas. Thought it was a great value…She loved the shirt, socks, and color changing mug (great for hot chocolate) the most!

Oh wow! I’m just stumbling on this review while looking for something else. My 13 year old LOVES the show. These items, with the exception of the snow globe, would be perfect for her. I failed to find her a jewelry subscription for Christmas. Now I’m thinking of getting this as a surprise. Thanks for this review!

My 4yr old loooves Ladybug and Cat Noir. 🙂 I’m not sure she really gets the whole “crush” thing but it’s one of her favorite shows. I like it, too, it’s super cute. (Apparently it was a joint project between Korea and France!)

She’d love this box, but I’d be worried about too many items causing clutter over time. It does contain fashion items, though, and she would have liked that shirt and beanie. I probably would have snitched the socks and mug, lol.

The inclusion of the diary box is pretty neat, actually, since there is an episode that revolves around it! Marinette keeps a journal with her secrets inside, but it gets stolen. Fortunately, Marinette rigged the box up with a special trick…

My daughter has been watching Miraculous since she was 4 and loves the show. Now 5 and a half, she is even more obsessed as she rewatches her favorite episodes. We are exceedingly picky with what she and our 15 year old watch and listen to (the 15 y/o is only just now watching some pg13 movies, the ones we approve at least), and aside from a few issues here and there, I see nothing wrong with Miraculous. Maybe if you have a very immature 6 year old it would be an issue. At any rate, my daughter loved the box and is looking forward to the next one.

Hi Netalia, glad to hear you love the show. Please understand that I never indicated it was inappropriate but simply too mature for my daughter’s interests at the time she had watched one episode.

We got ours and LOVE it!!! My son and I are HUGE Miraculous fans so this was such an amazing find for us!! Although I do have to admit I took the Cat Noir hat for myself as he’s my absolute favorite. My husband is hoping for some Chloe/Queen Bee stuff next time since she’s so “utterly ridiculous!”

Love your enthusiasm! 🙂 We’ll have to check the show out now that my daughter is a little older!

My 5&6 y/o kiddos love ladybug and both were thrilled with their new treasures. Our only issue was the snow globe broke because the water inside froze and shattered the glass during shipping.

Oh no! I guess we are lucky that didn’t happen to us – it’s been so cold lately! Hopefully they will get a replacement to you! Glad to hear your kiddos loved their goodies! 🙂
