Emma & Chloé November 2020 Review

This month's box arrived with a booklet featuring gorgeous photography showcasing other E & C pieces you can purchase.

Let's peek inside!

Polaris Necklace - Listed Value $70.00

My first thought when I saw this necklace was that it would be a great compliment to the ring I received in September. They both have a similar texture! I really like the simplicity of this necklace. The pairing of the textured ring with the smooth one is a great contrast and the interlocking of the rings gives the necklace a really beautiful movement. My only real complaint here is that the necklace itself is rather short (the main chain is 15 inches), making it hang shorter than I would like. It is adjustable up to 17 inches which gives a little more room.

It is really pretty on.

All Emma & Chloé pieces also come with a certificate of authenticity card plus care instructions on the back:

Verdict: This month's Emma & Chloé piece is classic and chic, and exactly what I expect from this subscription.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I just subscribed with their Black Friday special. It looked like the address they were sending it to was missing my State. I hope that since the zip code is there, it gets delivered. How long do deliveries usually take? Do they provide tracking numbers? I didn’t get one after the first box supposedly shipped. And did they recently update their website? I’m trying to take advantage of the December member perks but the price they want to charge my card keeps going back up to the full price on the final screen. I haven’t heard anything from customer service.

I really think the uniqueness and quality went down when they changed to making their own designs. The pieces just aren’t as nice and look “cheaper”. Granted there have been some pieces that I’ve liked. But overall I think the subscription was much better before the switch to making their pieces themselves.

This was my first box, and I really like it! I think it’s dainty enough to be a casual necklace, but the rings are just bold enough to be a statement. I love the length too. Can’t wait for December’s! They’re saying there’s gonna be two pieces but they haven’t spoiled them yet.

Megan, I read your review for the (similar) ring from September. You said it wasn’t your fave, but it might grow on you. Do you like it more now than you did initially?

Umm, no. Cheap-looking, no one would ever mistake it for gold. It’s cute otherwise, but at this price point I expect something a little higher end. No way this is worth anywhere near 70.00.

That is a lot shorter than I imagined; I thought it would drape down like a sweater necklace. It’s still flattering and a very pretty/sweet necklace though. It’s a little more detailed with the texture on the one and twist in the other than just an interlocking ring pendant would be, so that is nice.

I’m normally all for gold and rose gold, but I can imagine this one would look lovely in silver!

My fave cuff from Emma and Chloe is finally wearing out though as the plating is coming off. I do wish they would do gold filled (like thicker playing) rather than just a thin plate, as I would like them to last more than a year or two. I like the idea of having fewer, but more sustainable fashion pieces that last, in my closet. 🙂
