The Cubscription Box "Can't Stop Pawsome" Winter 2020 Review

In case you're wondering what happened to the fall box, due to shipping delays, they had to update their shipping schedule:

Due to the delays we faced this summer, we had to update the shipping schedule for the rest of the year. We want to stick with delivering a new subscription box every three months. Because of this, the next box you receive with your Cubscription will be the Winter Box that will arrive this December.

Don’t worry, you are not being charged anything extra. If you have an annual plan, you will still get four boxes even though they are being delivered outside of a 12-month period. If you have a quarterly plan, you are only charged for the boxes you get.

This quarter's theme is "Can't Stop Pawsome" and we received this booklet which highlights all of the items in our box with cute little rhymes about each of them. The back features a rhyme about how we need to name our bear just like you would at an actual B.A.B. Factory.

My son was excited to check out his box!

Exclusive Cubscription Build-A-Bear Polar Bear

This adorable, soft polar bear is such a cute little winter bear! He has the fun "pawsome" pattern on his feet and heart with the B.A.B logo on his hand. A similar bear on their website retails for about $16, although ours feels even more exclusive. I think the patterned paws were a fun touch!

Exclusive Cubscription Mini Sweater

I love the little clothing they have for the bears. It's just so cute seeing them in miniature. This is a fun blue sweater with the theme across the front and cutouts for his little tail to poke through. I really wish they would go back to including matching shirts for kids because this one is a great design and it would have been so cute! These little clothing pieces retail for about $8-$10 on their site depending on the design.

Exclusive Cubscription Mini Scarf

This soft fleece scarf is a great winter accessory for our little bear with a nice colorful design!

Here is our bear all dressed up.

Exclusive Cubscription Scarf

This is also our matching apparel for the quarter. Of course, it's cute and useful, especially since I don't think my son has his own scarf, but I would have loved the matching apparel to be something like a shirt or maybe even a matching beanie? Just something more obvious that they are matching because I know how special that can make kids feel.

Exclusive Cubscription Blanket

Our last super soft item is this fleece throw blanket. It is a small rectangle perfect for a lap blanket or a small child to cuddle up with. It's a bit thin, but the material is still pretty warm and it's a really fun pattern with everything from cacti to presents and boomboxes on it. It washed up nicely, and I think it's a great winter item!

Exclusive Cubscription Mug

This ceramic mug is simple and cute, matching the phrase on our bear's sweatshirt. My son is excited to have his own mug for hot cocoa! This mug is hand wash only and cannot go in the microwave.

Exclusive Cubscription Face Masks

Our next item is one that I have mixed feelings about. These face masks are super cute, they have adjustable straps, are double-layered, and they included two sizes (the bigger one even fits me), and since I know a lot of kids have to wear them at school, I'm sure those parents will be happy to have some extras! On the other side, I look at this as a quarterly box of happy for kids during this year when things have been crazy and probably a bit unstable (I know our school district has gone back and forth with in-school and virtual learning) so I'd rather see something that isn't a big reminder of that. This is definitely a personal opinion though and I'm sure everyone will feel differently! My son was kind of indifferent since he never has to wear them (perks of being homebodies! lol), but I'm sure if he was in school it would be an item he would be excited for.

Exclusive Cubscription Patches

We received one last item this quarter and these iron-on patches are cute and colorful. I'm not sure where we will put them just yet, maybe we can make our own little holiday sweatshirt with them!

Here is my son all cozy with his new items!

Verdict: This winter Cubscription box was full of cozy winter items that my son loved! The bear with his accessories was a huge hit, and he loves his new blanket and cocoa mug. I'm kind of excited about putting those patches on a sweatshirt now because I think that will be pretty cute! The items were perfectly gender-neutral and while the matching scarf was fun, I think it's clear I would have loved a matching sweatshirt instead, but overall, this was still a great box. I think it's also a pretty good deal since it's full of exclusive items including an actual Build-A-Bear!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, the Winter 2020 'Can't Stop Pawsome' box is still availale.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 + $7 shipping, which means that each of the 8 items in the box has an average cost of about $4.62.

I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!
