FaceTory 7 Lux October 2020 Review

Now on to the masks!

NOHJ 24K Gold Sheet Mask – Peptide - Retail Value $5.00

This was a fancy mask! It was made of black fabric and covered in a gold foil design. Even though these very fancy masks can often feel stiff, this one was very flexible and fit well!  It was also really calming and hydrating to my skin thanks to the peptides inside. I also appreciate the tea antioxidants that are great for protecting your skin and also calming redness and irritation.

Fancy!

DewyTree 100 Birch Mask - Retail Value $4.00

This was another well-fitting mask and the serum is 100% Birch Leaf Extract! I found it exceptionally calming and hydrating. This was probably the most basic mask in the assortment this month, but sometimes all you need is a little cooling and hydration.

VT Cosmetics 3 Step Cica Mask - Retail Value $2.00

I am a cica addict! It is one of my favorite ingredients to reduce redness in my skin and give me an instantly calmed complexion. This is a three-step mask with a PHA peeling toner, sheet mask, and a sleep mask. I started by patting the liquidy toner into my skin, then followed up with a sheet mask. I loved that the toner has PHA which provided a gentle level of exfoliation! Because this pack included a sleeping mask, I waited to use it after a shower in the evening and then go to bed with the thick and creamy sheet mask on! I loved this entire experience and so did my skin. The trio of products worked together in a lovely way to give me a smooth and significantly less red look.

Cosmetea Black Tea Nourishing Mask - Retail Value $3.00

I love tea in skincare ALMOST as much as I love cica. The antioxidants are great for keeping your skin protected and (hopefully!) youthful. This mask was comfortable to wear and had a slightly milky serum that smelled creamy and a little bit like tea. It left my skin feeling really soft and firm.

PureHeals Propolis Rose Callus Mask - Retail Value $4.50

Propolis and roses? Does it get more luxe? I recommend this mask for the evening because it did leave me a little sticky. Not in an unpleasant way, but definitely in a way that I wouldn't want to apply makeup on top of. It really did have a slightly sweet scent with a bit of rose. This is the sort of mask that is great for dry and aging skin because the rose extract is hydrating while the propolis helps keep the skin's natural moisture barrier intact.

The Beautiful Factr Milk Spread Balancing Mask - Retail Value $2.00

This was another mask that felt designed for my dry skin. Inside is a mix of ceramides that aid skin flexibility and lactobacillus ferment which is full of antioxidants. This serum was milky and plentiful and had a nice, fresh scent. I also appreciated the little tab on the mask backing which made it easier to peel off!

Yadah Daily Vegi Kimchi Mask - Retail Value $3.50

This mask was all about fermented extracts from cabbage, which is full of probiotics. I don't remember this one having much of a smell, thankfully! I also don't remember being super impressed with it, but it was still a cool and super niche sort of mask to try!

Elishacoy Tetraforce Wash off Mask, 100 g - Retail Value $15.00 (currently on sale for $10.00)

Our final item is a wash-off mask that is probably more for oilier skin types. The big ingredient callouts here are tea tree oil and kaolin clay. These are ingredients that do wonders for your skin if you are oilier because they help with excess sebum. My skin is dry, so I decided to use this as more of a spot treatment on breakouts as they come instead of on my entire face. The smell kind of reminds me of Italian cooking for some reason!

Verdict: FaceTory is a subscription I always look forward to because I just love sheet masks! Sure, I could probably buy a bunch of random ones locally, but I love the variety from Facetory and how they send masks that would be really hard to find on my own. If you are also a sheet mask addict, this is a really fun and affordable subscription that I have yet to be disappointed with. My overall value lands at $39 which is a nice saving on the $19.90 cost of this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No. Your subscription will likely begin with the November box.
