Ellie Women's Fitness Clothing "Full Bloom" October 2020 Review

At the beginning of each month, Ellie releases new collections. You can choose which one you want or skip that month if you don't want any of them and you won't be charged.

This shiny envelope held my invoice for this month.

Heidi Hoodie Pullover by Marika, Size L

This month I chose the Full Bloom collection because I loved the floral pattern and I thought that green hoodie looked like it would be a nice cozy layer on top. I have to say, I loved reading the comments on my last review about how many others like to just lounge in these, too! In 2020 workout clothes are mandatory while the workout itself is optional! As for this hoodie, it's a little tighter and more athletic than I expected, but I really love this unique blue-green color. I like the rounded hem and the thumb-holes which are great for cooler weather or wearing it underneath a jacket. It also pairs nicely with the pants in this outfit.

Printed Eclipse Legging by Marika, Size L

In addition to the colors and the fun floral pattern, the other thing that drew me to this collection was the fact that these leggings have pockets! Since I like to lounge in them, it's handy to have somewhere to put my phone while I'm moving about the house. I also like that these leggings are high-rise. After having 3 kids and loving the way maternity leggings covered my belly for a more slimming effect, I have learned to love high-rise leggings.

Layla Long Sports Bra by Marika, Size L

I really like the way this bra fits. It has a tighter section underneath with a fitted band under the bust and then the layer on top is nice and loose. It provides support but is still comfortable to wear and it's pretty full coverage too since it's longer than most. I like that it has a deep back which makes will be great when working up a sweat. It also has removable cup pads and a dry-wik finish.

Verdict: This month's Ellie selection didn't wow me as much as last month's (it was just so cozy and soft), but considering this is for working out instead of lounging, I think it was still a good choice! The florals just weren't as pretty in person as I expected, but I still really love the colors and think it's something cute and different. I also love that the pants have pockets and it's a comfortable outfit. I couldn't locate retail values for any of these, but I think it's a decent value at $44.95 for athletic leggings, a supportive matching bra, and a cute hoodie to throw over it!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll be selecting from the current month's selections, which may include this collection. Check out our latest spoilers here! If you are a subscriber, you can pick up past collections (if they are available) in the shop.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

i loved this outfit. i got mediums in all. the leggings were a little big (which was surprising to me!) the bra was a little big but fine for lounging. i loved the colors and the top was my favorite part. will wear this a lot while working from home.

i am waiting to receive the glamazon too!

I got the Glamazon, which is a green tiger stripe. I love it. They are comfortable and so cute. The sweatshirt is such a pretty soft sage green and long enough to wear with Jeggings and booties for a casual day out. I also happen to have a tank in that same color so on warm days I can wear it as the topper and still look great.

i’m waiting to receive the glamazon in the mail. kinda bummed to hear that its more sage green then grey but maybe then it will be unique then

how is the sizing in the glamazon? i thought this set reviewed was a little big on me/the fit wasn’t that great. so i went a size down in the glamazon on the bra and leggings. thoughts?

I thought the Glamazon sweatshirt was Slate Gray. Which is why I didn’t get it – it would wash me out. But it’s sage green?

Yes it is a very pretty shade of light sage green not gray at all. I also thought it was going to be gray and very happy when it arrived. the leggings and bra are a little darker than I thought they would be too.

Kristina

Wish they had plus sizes.

I got this outfit too & I thought the florals were so much prettier in person! They are deep colors that feel a bit more Fallish. The color of the hoodie is also one of my favorite things, so pretty & unique. The bra didn’t work for me. It puffs out at my armpits like a tank top that’s too big, but I think it would have squished my boobs too much if I got a small. I have it for sale on Poshmark if anyone wants the bra. 😉
