Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up, you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: To learn more about Stitch Fix's extended return window, any potential fulfillment delays, and more, read all of their service-related updates here.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this Fix. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we conduct reviews).

Stitch Fix for Women September 2020 Review

This is my invoice, which provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $230.00, but with the 25% discount (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $152.50. That’s a savings of $77.50 on these items. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid USPS envelope for you to send back any returns or exchanges which makes it so easy and hassle-free!

Your stylist will also include a style sheet with some tips on how to wear the pieces in your Fix. My stylist is Kristie again and she referenced how she included some layering pieces in lots of fall colors, which is what I had requested.

Deva Button and Tie Front Cotton Knit Top by Sanctuary, Size M - Cost to Keep $48.00

I was a little surprised to see this white tank top in my fix because it's almost October, but I realized it would make a great layer for underneath some of the sweaters my stylist had included. I actually LOVE this tank. The fit is super comfortable and I love the big buttons and the tie at the front. That little hemline that the tie is connected to makes it fit so much more comfortably than most tie-front shirts. While I absolutely loved this, I could not justify keeping this one for almost $50! It was really nice, but also very thin and it just didn't feel like it was quite worth the price. Womp- womp.

Neely Two Pocket Cardigan by Love Ellie, Size M - Cost to Keep $44.00

I love a good cardigan and this one is really nice and the burnt orange/cognac color is perfect for fall! Plus it has pockets, which is always a bonus for me. I like the stripes and I thought the length of the cardigan was great, too. It's lightweight and soft and is a perfect layering piece.

Jamelya Back Detail Cardigan by Pinque, Size M - Cost to Keep $46.00

I love a good mustard-colored shirt in the fall and this cardigan looked super cozy with it's tight-knit and the fun criss-cross detail at the back. I like how the back is just a bit longer than the front and while I liked it, I didn't love it. It almost felt a bit frumpy to me in the way that it fit on me.

Axelia Textured Crew Neck Pullover by Pinque, Size M - Cost to Keep $42.00

This sweater is from the same brand as the above cardigan and while I love this color and thought the knit looked really nice, I didn't like it on me as much as I thought I would. I couldn't tell until looking at the photos that my bra was showing through and while I was wearing a light nude one, I am pretty sure any color bra would show under this sweater, so I would have to wear a cami under it. I feel like a cami might kind of take away from the look of this one, though, because again, you would definitely see it underneath. Maybe if I found the perfect shade of green to match it would work!

Edaline Slouchy Textured Button Detail Pullover, Size M - Cost to Keep $50.00

When I saw this one in the app before it shipped it reminded me of a calico cat and I wasn't sure how I would feel about it, but this is actually my favorite top this month! It is super slouchy and comfortable and I really love the colors. I love that it's a little bit oversized, with the long sleeves making me feel like I could just curl up into it... kind of like a cat! This one is kind of pricey, but the quality is great and sometimes I'm okay with a splurge if I know I'll get a lot of use out of it.

The Verdict: I am so happy with my stylist this month – I asked for some fall colors and she totally delivered. While some pieces felt a bit more expensive this month, I thought she totally nailed my style. The only reason I didn't like the two Pinque sweaters was based more on fit issues and not anything to do with their style. I hope that Stitch Fix keeps this stylist with me because it's so great when you find one who can hone in on your style with their picks! As usual, the convenience of this service is great and now that their inventory seems to include all things fall, I am excited to see what she sends next month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this Fix if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $230.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $152.50. That’s a discount of around 34% for these items.

I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

What an adorable description!!! I am drawn to that sweater as well. I’d wear the life out of it if I had it in my wardrobe.
