Starting to get concerned because I still don’t have my test tube and it looks like most people have gotten theirs now…., I’ve had TERRIBLE experiences with their customer service in the past and dread calling them again after they say they’ll fix problems that don’t get fixed or charge me when I’ve prepaid for a year, always issues logging in, things like that. Sigh…..

  2. I’ve been having a very frustrating experience with customer service. In July, I was offered and accepted a free gift for not canceling my test tube beauty subscription. I keep checking every few weeks with customer support either on email and phone and keep getting told that I should just wait because it will be shipped soon, with some slight variations on that story. I know it’s just a free gift, but these conversations (and all the time on hold) have become frustrating for me and have made me lose faith in test tube beauty.

  3. This will only be my 3rd TestTube, but I’ve loved every one I’ve received so far. The Sept/Oct box was so great in that I got use out of every single item- rare for me. I even ordered a second box so I can keep using the microneedling kit and to get another full-sized moisturizer. I’m seeing a difference in my skin with just these two items alone, so TestTube is worth the price for me. I’m excited for this month’s tube too. The Dr. Brandt exfoliator is already a long-time favorite, but I’m also looking forward to the HA serum and the cleanser in the winter box.

  4. I’ve been having A TIME with this sub. I had a couple of the same issues as other subscribers. I emailed them about the expired supplement and said they didn’t need to replace it. They did anyway and sent me the exact same expired supplement. Then there was the issue with the nail polish promo that they didn’t remedy. The Winter box didn’t look good to me, so I decided to cancel. Was charged nearly a week later anyway. Contacted them — they confirmed I had cancelled and issued a refund. Great, thought everything was taken care of. Then a few days later I get a shipping confirmation (refund hadn’t posted yet). They told me to ignore the email. Package would not be sent. Refund posted. Done? Nope! A week passes and ANOTHER shipment confirmation email. I contact them again. They assure me that there is no package being sent and again, my account was cancelled. Two days ago FedEx drops off a package from them. I email them with a photo. Today they email me and ask me to “return to sender” the package. No return label; no sorry for the inconvenience. Long story to say—I’m not sure what’s going on at NewBeauty, but this sub is no where near the trouble.

  5. I have cancelled this subscription twice and asked them to hold off on a certain shipment once. I have done that when I didn’t like the full product spoilers. Since I have done it as soon as I find out, I email them right away. I receive an email from them and I keep it as proof. Haven’t had any issues with their customer service. I do not always like what is in the box but I definitely think there is good value for the cost.

  6. I see so many negative comments here and it trips me out. Test Tube is hands down the best subscription box out there. The value is always there and I always find at LEAST one or two products holy grail items I would never have thought to try. If you want to skip a month or cancel, pick up the phone and call them. They are REALLY nice on the phone. It takes like 2 minutes. I’ve never had a problem with shipping, and if you are on dry shampoo overload like so many are complaining about, I can pretty much guarantee someone in your life would be more than happy to take it off your hands for you. Or donate it. I think Test Tube kills it every month. I don’t ever see myself unsubbing to this box.

    • This comment is on the 100! I cannot beliebev all the full size items in this box, and you are totally right- dry shampoo is easily giftable , especially to a women’s or homeless center. I have 9 , yes 9, sub boxes all beauty/ skincare and I have yet to experience one issue. I am always in disbelief at the multiple issues people consistently post. I will say 2 of my subscriptions I gave canceled due to no longer having interest in the off market brands they are repeatedly offering…..

      But TestTube Beauty is AWESOME! I haven’t been able to use everything, every time, but I feel like the quality and research is there for sure. This box truly feels like a gift to myself I don’t even deserve hahaha because everything is QUALITY. People have to appreciate the fill tube, and 1, 2 and sometimes 3 full size items that ship in the big box that don’t even fit in the tube!

    • I canceled last Monday and I got a shipping email yesterday 🤦‍♀️ I’m pretty sure they gave me a refund, but will have to keep an eye on my card now. >:(

  8. I love this subscription box and the stuff that is coming in it. I do enjoy the dry shampoo. I dye my hair different colors and can’t shampoo as often as I’d like, so always having dry shampoo works out for me.

  9. TestTube is my #1 subscription box. I love it only comes 4x a year and the price is right for the full size products we receive. My only issue is the dry shampoo. I think it’s just a cheap way to fill the box. Im going to start skipping every box that has dry shampoo in. I’ve noticed that in other subscription boxes as well. Cheap eazy way out to fill a box. They all need to stop this mess.

    • I gave a tube of this to my husband when trying to lighten my beauty load. He appreciates the simple black packaging, and LOVES the product. It’s one of the only things he insists I have on hand for him now.
      So if if you’re overburdened with this particular product, consider gifting to the men in your life!

  11. I generally love this box, but this is at least the third box in a row with dry shampoo, which I might use literally twice a month— and I had a huge allergic reaction to a Dr. Brandt Product (and a lot of other people report the same) so… I wish they’d stop using that brand so much.

  12. I ordered ONE Test Tube in May and that was a fiasco because somehow they got the address wrong, I cancelled at that time. I have received the last two Test Tubes AFTER cancelling twice, and at least once via phone. I called customer service, and had to leave a message. First thing tomorrow morning I am calling the bank and advise them not to accept any new charges from New Beauty. I have been ordering products from all over for thirty years plus, and this is the first time I have ever had this happen to me. I suppose I am lucky. To add insult to injury, I can’t use/don’t want any of the products in the current Test Tube or the previous one.

  14. I cancelled a couple of months back, right before the last use came out and was delivered. I like the subscription but wasn’t ready to commit and pay for a full year. Well they just charged my card today for another year! I’ve been on hold for over half an hour now. Not cool. 😕

    • I cancelled too & was just charged a few minutes ago! I just came on here to say this so other readers could check their charges. I’m about to call now.

    • I was on hold for over 30 minutes and hung up because I used my whole lunch break! What a total nightmare just to cancel. I’d think twice about subbing to NBTT.

    • Follow up…finally Tony picked up after all that time, only to hang upon me when I explained to him why I was calling. I called right back, the hold time was much less and I reached Rafael. I explained to him all of the previous. He put me on hold because he said he had to talk to his supervisor. Why I’m not sure, as I told him with whom I spoke to when I cancelled and when. He came back on to tell me he could see all of that and and to tell me they would go ahead and process my refund. Like he did me a favor. He couldn’t seem to understand why I was upset over an unauthorized charge of over $200 on my account. He said omg lady….what poor customer service.

    • They pulled that with me last time. I am still fighting the charge with my card. They sent the order in record time as well. I sent all my emails and such to my credit card company showing that I had canceled and had actually called to cancel.

      • I say they sent the order (that I did not order) in record time because they wanted to make it look like they did not do anything wrong. They charged me, I called them to tell them I had canceled well before the cut off date for canceling and the next day they sent the box. Ridiculous.

      • I made 4, **FOUR** separate attempts to cancel yesterday (2 calls, 1 email and 1 chat on website) and never received a response from any of them. When I called again this morning, the rep told me they already charged me and would be shipping my tube in the next couple days, insinuating that it was too late to cancel. He agreed to refund me after I told him about all of my attempts yesterday, but not before trying *more than once* to convince me to stay subscribed.

  15. I look forward to this box every other month. I love the full sized products, they keep switching things up with brands/products, and I love that I get a lot of beauty products and the occasional makeup. I am looking forward to that lipstick this time!

  16. Me again, TestTube, and still trying to wrangle a resolution on the empty Philip B. product in September VIP Box.I received this response via email yesterday: “We truly appreciate your patience! We’d like to reassure you we are looking into this for you.”

    It’s been over 1-1/2 months. I’d love to know that this means. Are you sending a replacement? Are you sending a product of comparable value? I’m sorry to keep complaining, but it seems like this is taking an exceptionally long time to make good on this issue.

      It causes me to think twice about subscribing…

  17. Why is there always a dry shampoo in the tube?

    • I love NBTT, but I wish the people who decide what will go in the tube would stop with the dry shampoo for a while.

      • Right? I hate dry shampoo. It doesn’t work well for my hair and I must have a dozen or so. Think I’m going to donate them and all the other products I get that I don’t like from all my subs to a womans shelter. So many of the woman have to leave with just their clothes when they go to the shelter so I’m sure they would appreciate some beauty products.

  20. Hello Test Tube Beauty! I too am having problems with 2 issues myself! One- my friday new beauty special still has not arrived- a fullsize Sunday Riley Luna night oil. And two- my other free item for not cancelling my subscription has not arrived either, & this is from over a month ago. I would love & greatly appreciate any help in this matter. Thanx! 🙂

  21. So by “winter” you actually mean the November/December tube, right? Because this is bi-monthly, not seasonal. I was concerned for a moment that maybe there were additional tubes that I had to pay for or something.

  22. Beware of this brand. I bought several of their “Fast Fixes” sets last year. I didn’t usem all at once (because, duh). Turns out the eye drops were expired! And the third moisturizer was rancid.

    At first I was promised a replacement of all items. It never showed. Then I emailed and got a very rude CS agent who said I couldn’t cancel an order (I wasn’t trying to). Then she said it had been more than 60 days so I was out of luck. But the items were expired when I bought the sets.

    Very disappointed as they seemed like a good value. But will not risk it again.

  23. I have cancelled my subscription. Never got January box, From May or July box Sunday Riley was missing. Called customer service several times. Was promised replacement and never got it! That was the only sub I had and their lack of customer service forced me to cancel.

  24. These Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion products seem to be legit everywhere nowadays! I got one in my ipsy, it’s an option for FFF winter, and here it is again! Good thing I like it 🙂


    I just cancelled this sub and they put #ight Saints in their box??? Oy! Fine. Just take my money.

    • Omg I was so sad to get this box, the only thing I wanted/needed was the Sunday riley mask. But they couldn’t charge me bc I had to get a new debit card bc of fraud. Sorry so happy I don’t have too deal with them 🙂 xoxo

  26. Never subscribed to this box after years of looking at it. I think BeautyFix is a better deal. I feel like I have 75 ℅ of these items in my stash. I do love the cool round tube box they use which is unique.

  30. This is my absolute favorite of all my sub boxes. The products are always amazing and the value is always there as well. Haven’t been disappointed yet by one of these however every other box im disappointed for more than id like to admit unfortunately. And im still the idiot that keeps subbing hoping it will get better lol although I have finally canceled a few so hopefully I get the courage to cancel more, I just have fomo and I know im not the only one lol This is my favorite and now that ipsy plus has changed things and let us pick 3, they are my second favorite and Allure is my 3rd. The others are just eh depending on the month.

      • Test Tube, could you please also reply to the negative comments/complaints? I am seeing a LOT of people complaining that the replacements for their ruined VIP box with the spilled Phillip B? It looks that NOBODY with that issue has been helped. I just signed up for the upcoming VIP box, and I am extremely concerned my box will also arrive in the damaged condition, and then I might never get any help from you. Please trust that the word of mouth can ruin your business,

  33. Did anyone got charged for this tube already? Cause I did not, and I can’t get them to answer my message

    • Katya! I called and left a message with them this morning about this same thing. It is so weird! Not only have I not been charged, but I sent an email to them exactly 2 weeks ago because I had an issue with a Free Gift Friday offer for the first time ever and I have heard NOTHING! Which is very very worrisome to me because I’ve had to contact their customer service several times in the past and it was always an IMMEDIATE response. It’s one of reasons I’ve always loved them so much because the customer service has always been so stellar. I also can’t figure anything out from logging onto my account. I have no idea what is going on. I hope things get cleared up soon because back in September I prepaid for the LIVE! event box that is supposed to ship out before the event in November and not being able to talk to anyone is making me nervous.

      I’ve also been a little alarmed because usually an actual representative from Test Tube is in the MSA comments for their product posts interacting with us and I have not seen one on the last few posts regarding them…

      • I am worried too, because I actually like this Tube, so want to make sure I’ll get it. Also I tried to buy theirs legacy Tube (May), but it didn’t work, so I’m waiting for the refund. All together is pretty concerning

    • I spoke with them a few weeks ago, and they postponed charging until the spoilers were released. I think charges will go through next week? I can’t remember the exact date they gave me.

  34. I skipped the last tube but this seems much more my style. Looking forward to the cleanser and mask…I feel like maskne is going to be my biggest issue this winter.

    • I’m looking forward to this tube and especially the mask. I work in healthcare and have to wear a mask everyday. Maskne is awful.

  36. Anyone know of a coupon? The usual haunts are turning up nothing

    • TestTube rarely does coupons, at best you may get $10 off during a holiday event. I’ve only ever received a $10 coupon for a friend to sign up in 1 box for the 1+ years I was with them. They only other option would be to purchase an annual.

    • Amy, I would wait for black friday. Last year they gave 20% or 30% off, which is unheard of, TestTube practically never give coupons. I signed up for an annual with this discount and my box came up $24 plus shipping.

  37. Love Eight Saints products!

    • I have tried calling, emailing, and using the chat feature to cancel, with no luck. They are impossible to get in contact with. Interesting…

      • I think I ended up having luck with chat.

      • I just cancelled two accounts in the last hour (my sister’s and mine), total call time was 3 min and 5 min including the time waiting for someone. If that helps with an estimate.

      • I set an alarm to be awake to call them right at 9am (6am for me!). It rang a fair few times, but I waited until I got to speak to an actual person. Good luck!
