Vine Oh! “Oh! For Me!” Fall 2020 Review

There is a card for each item, as well as an overview card with total box value enclosed in the Oh! envelope.

Now onto the items. Let's start with some wine!

The wines included in the box are custom made for Vine Oh! so if you like a bottle and want more, you can usually find them for purchase on the Vine Oh! wine shop. You have the option of either two sweets, two whites, two reds, or a mix. I selected the “mix” and received a red and a rosé. Yum!

2018 Speechless Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon – Retail Value $24.00

Sometimes life leaves you speechless - in the best way. Whether it was a look, a kind gesture or maybe just the right words that spoke right to your heart, the effect can be profound. That's what inspired this wine...so delicious, unexpected, it left us speechless.

Aromas of toasted oak, jam, tea leaves lead to flavors of rich dark fruits with firm tannins.

I used to not really enjoy red wine, but Cabernet Sauvignon was the wine that changed that for me. It's so rich and jammy, and goes well with almost any meal, IMO. It also happens to be an especially excellent wine for chillier weather! Wine experts might disagree, but I love this room temp OR even hot with a cinnamon stick and an orange slice. The woodiness and dark reds fruits just really shine!

My second bottle was a white wine:

2017 Mad Love California Riesling – Retail Value $24.00

A Mad Love is rare. It’s a passionate love that withstands the test of time.

Mad Love Riesling is a rare find that we want to share with you. Aromas of stone fruit with flavors of lychee and Thai basil. Ripe and fresh, this wine finishes with flavors of white peach and white pepper. It's our Mad Love!

Reisling was my first wine love, and I still really enjoy how crisp and sweet they can be. This one is sweet, but not too sweet, and it is lively with apricots, peaches, and other fruits. It does have a green bite that I think is a perfect complement to those sweeter fruits.

Now, onto the lifestyle items!

Swig Life Shimmer Rose Gold Stemless Wine Cup (14oz) – Retail Value $29.95

Ok, this is SO cute. This is exactly the sort of item that I would hope to see in a wine-centric box like VineOh! This rose gold metallic tumbler is perfect for outdoor wine sipping and comes complete with a teal reusable straw that matches the silicone accents on the cup itself perfectly. It can keep a drink cold for up to 9 hours or keep it hot for up to 3. Drawing outside with a wine slushie is my new favorite pasttime, and the wine shop down the street was happy to fill this up instead of my usual plastic to-go cup!

White Birch Linen Spray, 4 fl oz - Retail Value $16.00

Fall is the time where I usually do some sort of total house refresh. I swap out my light quits for heavy blankets, decorate with crisply scented candles, and scatter pumpkins across my porch. This spray smells JUST like crisp fall and winter air. The notes of pine, eucalyptus, and cypress are so perfect for this time of year and really set the mood for the cool nights ahead. Because this is a skin safe formula, I can spritz some on my sheets as well as on my curtains and other linens without fear of any sort of weird reaction. Just a mist or two is enough to fill a room beautifully.

Daily Concepts Headband – Retail Value $12.00

Getting mask in my hair is one of my pet peeves but it just often happens when your go-to hair style is a messy bun! This terrycloth headband does a really great job of holind all of my baby hairs and flyaways back to make this much less of an issue! It is also great for washing my face in the sink and not soaking my hair.

C. R. Gibson Sticky Note Folio - Listed Value $10.00

I WFH pretty much all the time now and staying organized in my own sea of chaos can be a challenge, even on the best days. When your job is to write about many different things, little notes like this become super important, especially when I am trying out a bunch of different products and need to make sure my thoughts are organized. This little folio includes a variety of sizes and shapes which really help me stay on track when I have a bunch of different projects going on at once!

Tickled Pink Clay Charm Bracelet - Listed Value $8.00

This bracelet isn't really my style, but it does look exactly like something my mom would love! She has always loved bracelets that are stretchy and layerable, and I know she will like the natural blue shade that coats these clay beads. She is such a cute and positive person that I bet she likes the sentiment of the brass charm too.

Sunflower Food Company Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seeds, 3 oz – Buy a 4 pack for $9.99

My final item is one that I will note sharing with anyone because they were are freaking delicious! This larger tube of dark chocolate coated sunflower seeds is the perfect indulgent snack to stash in my desk for those 3 pm sugar cravings.

The Verdict: This Vine Oh! fall box might actually be my favorite VineOh! box ever. I loved both of the wines and thought the wine cup was a genius addition to this assortment. I also really enjoyed the linen spray. It really took me into that fall sort of mindset. The headband and sticky notes were very much practical items to include, but I will use both frequently. The bracelet will make an excellent little gift and the sunflower seeds are my own little desk treat until I eat them all. For the items I could find values for online, the total landed somewhere close to $106 which is a decent value for a $59.99 box that manages to combine both excellent wines and fun lifestyle items together into a very fun to open package.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! You'll start with the Fall 2020 box as your first, but quantities are limited!

Value Breakdown: At $59.99 for this box, each of the 7 items has an average cost of $7.50.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I love the cup! I have a slightly smaller one that is personalized with my name on it, but now I can have this one while my other one is being washed. I ate the sunflower seeds in one night… I didn’t like the “live laugh love” bracelet bc I hate that saying and the beads are pretty cheap. The linen spray smells amazing, but I have so much other similar stuff that I want to gift it, but also keep it because it smells so good! Okay, just decided it will be my car spray 😊😊😊

This season’s box was on point for me! That linen spray smells so good, the sunflower seeds delicious and I was so excited to get that swig mug.i got an orange bracelet that’s perfect for fall and I always love those headbandS. And of course….the wine. What an awesome deal!! I loved it so much I picked up a few more as gifts for Christmas for my kids. I know my girls are going to love it!

I also love this box! The bracelet is not cheap looking or feeling, I got a mustard colored one and I really like it! I’m giving the headband to my mom since she can’t get out to get her hair done, thank you covid. I hope she’ll use it and feel a little dressed up. The chocolate has been a great rescue during some hard days at work. Love the sticky note set, too. And the cup is adorable, it’s a great size for coffee, hot chocolate, or a wine. I love their wine also 👍

I’m not a big wine drinker, so don’t usually read this review…but…am I the only one who thought the headband (in this type of box) simply being to hold your hair up, when you drink too much? Lol
Just seemed like an odd inclusion. Maybe they always send beauty items?

Yup. Headband to hold my hair back, put on a mask, n enjoy the patio or couch with a glass of excellent wine in hand.

I loved this box! The night I got it my husband and I sat on our rooftop deck to drink one of the reds we received. The swiglife glass is so useful… i purchased another that night after my husband spilled his glass and mine was sealed tight.

Fed Ex delivered my box today and I was so excited! I took advantage of the extra wine for life. I am looking forward to drinking the sweet wines. I like the bracelet and the linen spray smells so fall! The tumbler will be great to try. The headband is good for facials and makeup. I thought it was a good value. I went with the year subscription.

I want to want this subscription. This would be awesome if their curation were more on-trend. That bracelet is a big no for me. If it would’ve been a nice silver piece of jewelry and a couple more items. Actually, I’m always up for fewer quality items over a lot of cheap stuff. All I know is this sub is a little high for that bracelet. ugh
Last season’s bag would’ve been cuter if the pom poms were either black or white or maybe a little smaller. There’s always something generic about the lifestyle items each season that has kept me from subbing. The concept is great. They’re just not pulling it off.

This one was one of my favorites from them. Everything will be used and I used the linen spray this morning-to die for.

Best Vine Oh! Box ever! I received the same 2 bottles, the Riesling always my favorite but with the promo a few months ago, also got a Merlot that I really liked. .
The goodies were perfect. Only pass-on one was bracelet, just too many in my jewelry catch-all. Will use everything else. Love the straw with the cup.
