MightyBody August 2020 Review

Included is a paper with some info about this month’s featured products and a little background info on the brand.

Helen Round Eco Soap Bag – Retail Value $13.00 (£9.95)

FYI: This pouch is about 5.5 inches square.

Ok… I might just have small bag fatigue from my job here at MSA, but I had a little bit of a hard time getting excited about this handmade pouch being the only thing inside my delivery this month. Sure, it is 100% linen, and totally beautiful, but I feel like I needed something like a bar of soap to arrive with it to make it feel special. This pouch is made to store your soaps and shampoo bars and keep them dry between uses. The included tag also suggests it being great for travel. I do like the natural linen color and the botanical design.

Verdict: MightyBody was a little unexciting this month, but, again, I am always surrounded by a surplus of bags and pouches. I will say this one was beautifully made and felt very high quality, I just think it needed a little something extra to be a better delivery for me this month.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

  1. This is very bizarre. I love mightybody but I would be surprised at receiving this too. When I got my hi bar shampoo [Holy grail find btw] they sent me a cedar block to put the bar on. The bar alone had a $15 value. I feel like maybe they made a mistake and agree that a bar of soap could easily have been included to make it worthwhile

  2. Wow, someone made a fortune this month! What a rip-off!

  3. Agreed. They should have sent a bar of soap, inside the bag. This would be very disappointing.

  4. I had this sub on my giant list of subs to try out but man, most of the reviews just don’t seem worth it to me. $12.99 sub price just to receive something to put my soap bar in? It is beautifully made but it doesn’t look easy to slip soap into after use when you’re standing in a wet & soapy shower, compared to a, say, dish soap that you can just plop the bar onto

  5. I would have been very sad to see just a bag for a monthly sub box.

  6. Agree that they should have included some soap, even if it was a sample/travel-sized bar!
