Did anyone get a shipping notice yet? I think I usually receive it by now. I haven’t gotten a jade roller yet so interested to try it. Looks like an ok box, but doesn’t seem like much for a 6 year celebration. I think I’m over this box, as others have said, it’s not what it used to be. Thought they were stepping it up, loved the June box with the turquoise theme and cute zip case. Oh well, think I’ll try another for awhile 😔

I used to love Look Fantastic but its gotten really bad lately. Not exactly product wise but the size of the products is ridiculous when you think about what you get in Ipsy GBP or BoxyCharm for just $6 more. This used to be one of my favorite beauty subscriptions but I haven’t gotten it since June because its just not worth it for the price (and I was only paying $17 a month). The fact that they’re doing variations now makes it even worse

They also used to send that little Elle magazine which I thought was a nice extra, but they discontinued it a while back.

also im sure im not the only one thinking this but im guessing from the picture that the special birthday extra is a Look Fantastic compact mirror or a Look Fantastic pop socket. At least thats what it looks like it could be in the pic

Okay, not super exciting, but I will use everything but the lip liner (will give away). I have never received a jade roller, so I am happy to try it. The Elemis cream is my fave, so I love having a travel-size. I love ESPA – and I hope I get the pink mud hair mask to try. I will use the Luxie brush. I am a fan of The Balm products, too, even though I don’t use highlighters.

This is why I cancelled. I had the LF box for more than two years but the products kept getting smaller (this birthday box has almost only travel size!) and they gave a lot of repeats and products like eye liners that I got tired of throwing in a drawer. Even it if it € 19 a month. I see other boxes at a comparable price point with better products. What I DO love though is their limited editions. But even those are getting boring sometimes. The Espa LE box was not a great value for money even though I love the brand. Easy pass for me.

Not an exciting birthday box.

Nope. Tired of variations. They used to be the same for everyone.

What a sad birthday box.

Agree, it feels very unluxurious. I like when it’s a bit “finer” brands, even if it means it’s small packs.

Not sure why they would do three highlighters in one box, but I am curious: has anyone used those jade rollers? What do they actually do? Do they work?

The rollers don’t do much for you skincare wise but they feel great if you’ve got a headache!

Since the box will contain only 6 of the products listed, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of the three highlighters and one of the three Espa products, with everything else being included. Just a guess though 🙂

Awww, thanks Tiffany! 🙂 I’m glad I was able to help out some. 🙂

thats what I was thinking too. Im guessing each box has only one highlighter in it not three
Luna,
Thank you so much for the thorough, thoughtful answer to my advent calender question on the Cult Beauty Advent Calendar post. It really helped me out! I’m super sad to hear that Cult Beauty most likely isn’t going to ship to the US though. I might order the Look Fantastic Advent Calendar though, I wish they would release the spoilers. Im intrigued by the drawer in that Advent Calendar that looks like it would be the perfect shape for some sort of palette. I think it was for the 1st day but its near the bottom of the Calendar. You always give the best advice/info about beauty related purchases! Im always scrolling through to find your comments!

Those rollers have been in lots of sub boxes lately. Supposedly they can help with de-puffing and with the distribution of lymphatic fluid (or something like that – clearly I’m not up on that aspect of their use), but I use one with sheet masks, to help apply them and make sure they are smoothly adhered to my face etc. They can also, from what I understand, be used to apply serums and creams (the small end being for under the eye).
