JustFab Review + First Look for $10 Coupon – August 2020

JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways – you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique.3
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

FYI, COVID-19 Updates: Stay up-to-the-minute on shipping delays, return policy changes, and more right here.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

JustFab August 2020 Review

I get a lot of questions about how this subscription works and since it is a bit confusing I figured I’d walk you through the process:

Signing Up

The first step to signing up is taking a short quiz to answer some questions about your style, or you can just skip that and go straight into registering for an account with your name, email address, and shoe size. Then they will take you to your “boutique” which are some items they recommend for you. While the $10 offer seems like it can only be applied to shoes, it will also take 40% off any clothing or accessories, which will be the price shown in red. Of course, once you go to check out, they may offer you some additional deals, so I recommend finding a few items and seeing how much you can save! Just a warning- they do sell out of items, especially in certain sizes, so if you are in love with something, don’t hesitate!

First Purchase

Just for fun, I added these slide sandals to my cart. Now you can see they ring up as only $10 so long as you select that you are joining their VIP membership. I’ve also included the terms of their membership program. FYI – I have successfully canceled an account in the past without having to call in.

Here you can see the difference between the VIP savings (left) versus just shopping without a membership.

Monthly Membership

Each month you can avoid paying the $39.95 membership fee by simply going into “My Account” and selecting “Skip the Month.” Once it says “You’ve Skipped,” you can just forget about this until next month with no obligation to shop or buy. You could also shop that month to avoid the credit, but I much prefer skipping and then shopping at my leisure, or even better, waiting for a sale to shop! Also, you get points for shopping and for reviewing items you’ve purchased which can be redeemed for a % off or even just $ off which can add up fairly quickly. Although, sometimes the way the credit applies to sale items can get a bit tricky, so you may have to play around with it a bit to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

Summary

  • It’s $10 for your first pair of shoes or 40% off clothing or accessories for your first purchase.
  • Set a reminder to skip each month so you don’t end up with a credit you don’t want.
  • Shop the sales!

Now let’s get into my items for this month!

Inside my package was a promotional coupon for HelloFresh (check out Marne’s review!).

Herringbone Wool Coat – Retail Value $99.95, VIP Price $69.95 (currently on sale for $20)

Once upon a time (probably a decade ago), I saw the most beautiful green pea coat in a store and they did not have it in my size. Since then I have been on the hunt for a green wool coat and ***FINALLY*** I found one! Even better, it was on sale for $20! While the original coat I saw was a brighter kelly green, I love this gorgeous Ponderosa green shade! The herringbone detail makes it feel sophisticated and while it is listed as a wool coat, there really is only 4% wool, although, at $20, I am okay with that! It is definitely warm and very long. I opted for a large and you can see it’s definitely a little tight at my hips, but that’s totally a COVID diet problem and not the fault of the coat. I can’t wait to wear this coat this winter! (Also, please excuse my mini-model, he wants to be in every picture!).

Classic Faux Leather Moto Jacket in Rugby Tan – Retail Value $90.95, VIP Price $39.95 (currently on sale for $20)

I would never normally choose something so unique as this moto jacket, but at $20, I figured there wasn’t much to lose! I don’t think I could pull off the more intimidating black shade of this faux-leather jacket so I opted for this tan, almost blush, colored jacket. It’s actually very soft and comfortable and I think with the right outfit it will be such a great accent piece! If it wasn’t 90 degrees outside that day I would probably have tried on some jeggings and boots with it to really get a feel for the look. It is a pretty warm jacket judging by the way I was feeling after taking a few photos in the heat with it and I think the light color will pair well with a lot of items in my wardrobe. What are your thoughts?

The Verdict: Who can resist cute coats on sale for just $20? This month’s deals from JustFab were too good to pass up! It may be a while before I can comfortably wear these, but when fall and winter come, I’ll be ready. The total retail value for these jackets is $190.90 ($109.90 with VIP prices) and after shipping and taxes I ended up paying $48.93!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, these items are still available as of publication!

COUPON: Get your first look for $10! No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for these items is $190.90, and the VIP price is $109.90, but after taxes (and $4.95 shipping) my total was $48.93. That’s a discount of about 74% off retail and about 55% off VIP.

  6. Last winter, I moved from the south to Chicago and had no clothes for real winter and no idea what to get. JustFab saved the day! Not only did I get a great coat, I also got cute weather proof snow boots, all at really reasonable prices.

The best part-I didn’t have to sort through all the info and marketing on buying products that were unfamiliar to me. I just spent 15 or so minutes and got the warmest, cutest things they offered, freeing up time to get settled in.

    • I do love their boots! They are great for winter weather! Glad you had such good luck! 😊

  7. Rocking the Geneva dress from US in look #2!! I think it look’s great with the moto jacket. Edgy, but polished. That dress has been my go to staple this Summer. So easy to dress up or down. I have like 8 of them!!

    • Yes! It’s definitely become a go-to! I need more! Lol.

  8. I love both of them. You look amazing in both of your choices Brandi!

    • Thanks so much, Keri! 😊
