Friends Box is a quarterly subscription box full of exclusive, officially-licensed merch from the hit TV show. Inside, you'll find collectibles, apparel, and accessories based on beloved characters and memorable episodes.

I grew up watching Friends when it was on because my parents loved it! Now as an adult, I am constantly watching reruns and it always gives me a good laugh!

Friends Box Summer 2020 Review

Each box comes with a card showing each of the items in the box.

"The One Where Ross and Rachel...You Know" Wall Hanging

Ah, the iconic armchairs! In this episode, Joey and Chandler refuse to leave their brand new armchairs and TV. The quote on this wall hanging is from when they are continuing to get super cozy and acquainted with their armchairs. These will live on throughout the entire length of the show, and who could forget what these two go through! Another important part of this episode? Oh yeah, Ross and Rachel go on their first date!

"The One With The Prom Video" Denim Vest

I made a little blunder in the Spring box, mixing the pin birthday episode up with the prom video episode. So hopefully I can get this one right this time! Monica's parents give her her old prom tape, which they all gather around to watch. Ross and Rachel aren't currently on great terms, and Ross demands that they don't watch the video. They do anyway, only to realize that Ross was fully prepared to take Rachel to her prom when they all thought her boyfriend had stood her up. He shows up after all, but the gesture totally moves Rachel to go over and kiss Ross. To which Phoebe says the famous line, "See, he's her lobster." I love Ross and Rachel so much so this vest really speaks to me! Not to mention it is totally cute! I used to rock a denim vest in college and have since been looking for one now that they are in again. I love the quality and fit so much, and can't wait to wear this over a dress or jeans and a long-sleeve shirt once the cooler weather approaches.

"The One With The List" Pros and Cons Notepad

Who doesn't love a good pro and con list?! I know one person who does not, and that person is Rachel! In this episode, Chandler and Joey help Ross make a pro and con list to help him decide if he should stay with Julie or go all-in on trying to date Rachel. He ultimately ends things with Julie and gets with Rachel finally! The bad part is that Rachel finds the list and is furious with it! She doesn't want anything to do with Ross anymore. This pad of paper is great for me since I love weighing pros and cons in most situations I have to make a decision on, I just won't let anyone find it if I don't want them to.

"The One After The Superbowl" Football Squishy

This episode seems to be on TV all of the time, and for good reason! A fun fact that I learned when doing a little research is that NBC decided to air a double-length episode of Friends following the lead out for the Superbowl, a spot that is normally filled with the debut of a new series. They pulled out all of the stops with this episode having actors like Julia Roberts, Brooke Shields, Chris Isaak, and more. Ross sees a commercial with a monkey that reminds him of Marcel, he visits the zoo where he lives while he is out in California where he is told Marcel is dead only to find out from the janitor that he is still alive. Flash forward everyone goes onto the movie set where Marcel is filming so that Ross can try to see his old friend. It really is a great episode and so fun to see Marcel again! This little football squishy is lightweight and super squishy (obvs) and has now become a toy for my kids to play with outside!

"The One With The Chickenpox" Oven Mitt

Oh my, this episode is one of my favorites! It features Charlie Sheen, who plays a fling of Phoebe's that is in New York while on leave from the Navy. Phoebe is so excited to see him and spend the weekend together, the only problem is that she gets the chickenpox. She still wants to see him but is nervous because she is covered in itch cream. Charlie Sheen's character gets the chickenpox too after he refuses to be away from her, so they spend the weekend sick and scratching each other. The best part is that they tape oven mitts onto Phoebe so she can't scratch. This oven mitt is iconic! I shockingly only have one oven mitt so I was super excited to add this to my collection! It fits my hand perfectly and is super cute!

"The One With Five Steaks And An Eggplant" Magnet Set

This magnet set is so cute! We have a lot of magnets on our fridge to hang artwork and pictures so I was excited to add more. My kids also love this set and think its funny to have food magnets (they have been playing with this set a lot). This episode is a bit more on the serious side (as serious as this show gets) as everyone is sort of down and arguing about money. The group is split between those that have jobs and money and those that don't. Phoebe, Joey, and Rachel can't afford a fancy dinner out and get left out of going to a Hootie and the Blowfish concert because of money. Monica is trying to make up for the dinner out by bringing home steaks and an eggplant that she said were gifts from work, but it makes everyone fight even more! In the end, Monica ends up getting fired from her job because the steaks weren't actually a gift and she broke company policy. Everyone consoles her while Joey asks Chandler for money to pay for the coffee bill for everyone.

"The One With The Prom Video: To My Best Bud" Bracelet

I could not have been happier to receive this bracelet set! Another iconic item! I actually really love gold jewelry so this sort of fits into my other pieces that I wear on occasion. I really wanted to make my husband wear the matching bracelet with him, but this was way too small for his wrist. I decided to gift the second bracelet in this friendship set to my sister-in-law on her birthday. She loves Friends and could not stop laughing at this super fun gift! In this episode, Joey gifts Chandler this bracelet set, which Chandler obviously hates and refuses to wear. He loses his bracelet, having to buy a replacement, but Joey finds out and is super upset about it. In the end, Chandler embraces the dangly gold friendship bracelet.

"The One With Phoebe's Dad" Taxi Cab Coin Bank

This little coin bank is super nice! The quality is great and the painting detail is so cute! My son is currently collecting money for his Batman bank and asked if he could keep this one in his room as well to collect even more money in. So this now sits proudly in his room next to Batman, a perfect fit! This was actually a Christmas episode where Phoebe sees a picture frame with a model photo in it that she says is her Dad. The group tries to explain to her that its just a stock model photo so she asks her Grandma only to realize that she just used this picture frame photos all of her life telling her it was her Dad. She says she doesn't know much about her Dad other than his address and one photo of him. She takes Joey and Chandler with her in her Grandma's cab upstate to try to find her Dad, but she ultimately is too afraid to go see him. The cab is a classic Phoebe item which I totally love!

The Verdict: The Friends Box for Summer was absolutely amazing! Season 2 is probably one of my favorites, it was still early on and the characters were really starting to build. Plus, it was probably my favorite season for the styling. The items this month were so fun to go through and find spots for them in my house, and my kids actually loved a lot of the items this month which is always fun! My favorite items this month are the denim vest and the friendship bracelet. I know I am going to get a lot of wear out of both. The thing that I love about this box is that nothing feels junky, everything is high quality, and the curation and attention to detail are spot on. This month had one extra item, which made the value feel a bit higher from last month.  I wasn't able to find retail values for these products, but with the monthly cost of $39.99, each of the 8 products has an average value of $4.99. This is the ultimate box for any Friends lover out there!

Yeah, I wouldn’t trust the quality of an item with a mistake like that! That is bad.
