Friends Box is a quarterly subscription box full of exclusive, officially-licensed merch from the hit TV show. Inside, you'll find collectibles, apparel, and accessories based on beloved characters and memorable episodes.

This is my first time reviewing Friends Box! I grew up watching Friends when it was on because my parents loved it! Now as an adult, I am constantly watching reruns and it always gives me a good laugh!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Friends Box Spring 2020 Review

Each box comes with a card showing each of the items in the box.

Friends Hockey Jersey

I just watched this episode a few weeks ago! It is a very early one, my favorite, and is Joey at his prime! The three guys head to the Rangers hockey game, so in the episode, this is a Rangers jersey, but Ross gets hit in the face with a hockey puck. The jersey itself is awesome! It is super soft, not like a typical hockey jersey, and has the look of a Rangers jersey but with the cool Friends logo on the front. I have already worn this with some bike shorts to make my look extra 1994.

Guitar Sticky Notes

These sticky notes look exactly like Phoebe's guitar! There isn't a ton of space to write, but they look really cute sitting at our desk area in the kitchen where I usually make my grocery list or set myself reminders for the day. Who doesn't love a sticky note that gives you a little smile every time you use it?!

Soda Can Tumbler

This is another super early episode where Phoebe finds the thumb in her can of soda! She ends up receiving money from the soda company after finding the thumb, but being the kind person she is, she doesn't want the money. Chandler just started smoking again so she uses the money to make him stop smoking. I honestly love this little drink holder, and I think it's such an odd item that only true Friends fans will understand it. I have been using this for my water lately and it keeps is super cold, but I could see this coming in handy with a beer next to the pool.

“Welcome to the Real World. It Sucks. You’re Gonna Love It.” Notebook

It doesn't get any better than episode 1, season 1! We are introduced to the Friends, and get to see the old friendship come back between Monica and Rachel. In a moment of pure fear, Rachel cuts up all of her credit cards and says goodbye to her old life. Monica, ever the positive one, gives her a big hug and says this unforgettable quote. I love it! I haven't received a spiral notebook in forever so I am really loving this one! It is perfect to use when I am taking notes while reviewing products and being able to fold it over makes writing super easy.

Rachel's Pin

I literally let out a big, "Awww!" when I opened this little black box! Who doesn't love this episode? If you know, you know. It is in this birthday party moment that Rachel realizes how much Ross loves her and is so overwhelmed by this gift that she walks over and kisses him. "He's her lobster!" The show aside, this pin is beautiful! I love Victorian style jewelry and have a jacket where I love putting special pins on so this has already found a new home there. It is so detailed, feminine, and just lovely!

Marcel Plush

A little Marcel, he could even sit right on your shoulder if you wanted! I giggled when I saw him in the box because it was such a silly part of Ross's story early on. My kids fell in love with this little plush right away, so he is now sleeping among other stuffed animal friends in my son's bed!

Poker Set

This is further towards the end of season 1 where the guys teach the gals how to play poker. Ross actually ends up letting Rachel win so that she can get the money, even though he had a better hand. Another sweet gesture from Ross, for now at least! The night before I got this box my husband turned a poker game on TV and I was so confused because I've never played poker before. He tried to explain it but I just was not catching on. Maybe now I should make myself learn how to play since we have this awesome full poker set!

The Verdict: This was my first time reviewing Friends Box and I absolutely loved it! I didn't really know what to expect with the products, but I can safely say that I was happy with the quality. The hockey jersey is awesome and something I will actually wear, the pin is another favorite, and I loved receiving silly sticky notes and a notebook which are things I always need. I love that the products weren't overly branded or too out there, just good old Friends fun. Everything was from very early episodes which are my favorite so I really got to go down memory lane with these items. My husband and I were laughing and talking about each episode as we took each item out of the box. Nothing better than that right?! I wasn't able to find retail values for these products, but with the monthly cost of $39.99, each of the 7 products has an average value of $5.71. That might seem a little high for items like the sticky notes, but I think that is a great value for the jersey, pin, and poker set. This is a totally fun box and a great gift to give someone that is a Friends fanatic, like me!

Great review but one detail wrong. Rachel got the pin when Ross left for China and met Julie, after Rachel opened the gift (after Ross left for the airport) chandler spilled the beans that Ross loves her. The lobster episode isn’t even until the next season. That happens after Rachel watches Ross on the prom video where he almost took her to prom when her date seemingly stood her up. That is when she walked over and kissed him and phoebe called her his lobster. That has nothing to do with the pin whatsoever as that was an episode from the season prior to the lobster episode lol. But you got the rest of the details right on the other items!

The cameo isn’t featured in the “he’s her lobster” episode. The cameo is featured in the season 1 finale when it’s Rachel’s birthday and Ross isn’t there. Chandler accidentally lets it slip that Ross is in love with Rachel and she goes to the airport to meet him, only he’s there with Julie.

Great review, though! Love the hockey jersey and Marcel plush.

No, Cookie is right – Ross gets off the plane from China with his grad school classmate, Julie, who was also in China.

Emily comes later.
