Bespoke Post "Laze" Review

This month, I let my husband browse all of the available boxes and this is the one he chose. This card gives us some instructions on how to care for his new shorts.

The Marina Walk Short by Line of Trade in Olive Drab - Retail Value $60.00

My husband is finally growing up! Just kidding. But these above the knee shorts do feel like true "dad" style although, in the most fashionable sense. I really like them and I was surprised when he chose them because he's very casual when he's not at work. Although back in college, he definitely had some bright shoes and was possibly a bit more trendy! The color of these shorts is great and he tried them on with a yellow shirt of all things and I thought it looked fine, so I think he can wear pretty much any color top with these. They are made from 30% linen, 55% cotton, 15% polyester, and have an elastic waistband with a true drawstring so they are very comfortable. The pockets have a soft liner and there is a pocket with a button closure on the back. They even included a spare button which I thought was classy.

Here you can see them on him. They are such a great shade of green!

Men's No Show Socks by Etiquette Clothiers - Estimated Value $14.00 (based on available colorways)

My husband loves to wear no-show socks in the summer and these will pair nicely with his new shorts. I couldn't find this exact pair on the Etiquette site, but I linked to a similar pair I found. He thought they were comfortable and he liked the neutral shade. They are made from 85% combed cotton, 13% nylon, and 2% elastane. If you can see that shiny part on the heel(swipe), it has a rubbery texture to help keep them from slipping down.

Here they are on. They're a nice pair of socks!

After Sun Gel by Maapilim, 4 oz.

The last item in this box was a bottle of after sun gel. I wasn't able to find it on their website, but I dig the look of their packaging! This is something my husband will definitely use. It has a slight aloe vera scent, but with some really masculine undertones. The ingredients come from the Great Sea (Mediterranean) and it contains aloe, bay laurel, and coriander. The overall scent is subtle and it has a nice texture that I'm sure would be soothing after the sun.

Verdict: I think my husband's pick for this month's Bespoke Post box was a good one! The shorts retail for $60 and while I don't have exact values for the other two items, I am pretty sure we got a great value for this $48.95 ($45 + $3.95 shipping) box! My husband is really happy with his fancy new shorts and I like that he has a pair of pants that are just a bit more sophisticated than his old worn-in khakis!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! This box is still in stock.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $45 + $3.95 shipping and with 3 items in this box you are paying about $16.32 for each item.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

@Jenny: If you husband doesn’t like no-show socks – put them on swap. That’s the only kind of socks my son likes. Since his dog likes to steal socks & underwear every chance he gets (its like a game for the beast!) I have to buy both regularly. I’ll be thrilled to swap makeup for socks. My son was laughing saying he knew he became “mature adult” when he asked for socks for Christmas and was glad to receive them. lol

We got this box as well – mostly because we had a power outage on the day we’re supposed to pick or ship, so we kind of got it by default. My husband was skeptical about the elastic waist shorts as they resemble our 9 year old’s shorts, but he gave them a try and now he lives in them. The aloe is great for post-lawn mowing red neck, and he’ll never wear the socks, sadly. Overall, a great box!
