I used the mascara, cleansing balm, and face mask today. All were hits! Mascara was drier which I prefer because my eyes are sensitive to mascara. The cleansing balm actually cleaned off most of my makeup (including mascara) and I only had to use one cotton round for the small amount of residue left. The mask (I had the pink one) was a great way to get more moisture into my skin.
I swatched the liner and it isn’t really bold which is kind of a bummer but for an everyday liner it’s pretty okay. Bravo Allure! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’ll be cancelling too. Not much use outta this box, then to 23.00. I’ll find something else. Macys isnt a bad box, dunno the cost tho. Less than 23.00 tho. I think I’m taking a break from Ipsy ( nothing good, in fact a duplicate from last year), so many brushes, mascaras. Come on. Get CREATIVE!!!!!
That sunscreen wears so nicely on the face. I loved my little sample from last year. Favorite SPF for face and it’s SPF 60. I am excited about this box. I been loving Allure. Although it ks now the 29th of August and I still haven’t gotten this month’s box in the mail yet
OMG. Purple eyeliner. This box ROCKS. I skipped August. Sick of all oil face stuff in all the boxes lately sticks to my eyelashes and makes my contacts blurry!! We got that neon pink and neon blue eyeliners a while ago they are awesome and I love purple I’m psykeed!
Yesss! I know, purple always brings out the green in my green/blue eyes and I don’t have anything purple right now! (Moved countries and left all the old stuff behind)
Ohhh what? Wondering how that is going to work with annual subscriptions. I just did an Allure annual subscription that started in Jul2020. I cancelled my previous Boxycharm In 2019 because didn’t want to keep $20+ monthly payments. I also tried Ipsy Glam Plus for a few months in 2019-2020 and I didn’t like the unknown brands, the bags started to annoyed me too.
Anyone who purchases an annual subscription before a set date (later next month I believe) will get the boxes for the price they already paid. They are revamping it to include more full size products so if they are good ones then you’re getting a great deal!
I think you’ll be okay with the annual subscription. I don’t believe they will charge you $23/month until your annual subscription is over in July 2021.
What?! Booo!!! I’m currently signed up for a year. Glad I did it when I could afford it too! Guess when my year is up in may that will be the end of that. I’ll enjoy it for now but at that price I’d have to drop my ipsy glam bag and that is not going to happen
Bummer! Why changing? I am not looking to score more full sizes (only subscribing with them for 3 months gave me serums to last me 1 year), but to try new things (and yes, perhaps thinking I got a deal). I liked the idea of a subscription priced around 10-15$.
It is a great box for me. I like Mile High mascara, so I hope I like this one as well. Fingers crossed I will receieve this elf brush as it looks more versatile than contour one.
I like this one a lot but don’t like mike high. They are quite a bit different. The applicator in this one is curved. You may like both though. Not sure if the formula is the same or not.
At first glance I was like “this sucks” but after further analyzing… Glam up masks are the bomb so I’m excited to try this one! Also it’s a purple eye liner not black soo not as bad.. I guess everyone needs sunblock lol so why not have one by a great brand and hello Elemis anything! (I love their superiors cleanser that I got as a sample size and went along way) & as much as I dislike wander beauty products this mascara worked well for me it just gets flaky (if that’s the word) crumbly? After a few months so it needs to be used quick.
I really don’t need any more mascara and we’ve had this one before, so I’m mildly bummed about that. Allure has really spoiled me with some really nice full size items these past several months, so I’m finding it hard to get really excited. Normally I would skip, but Allure has been so good this Spring/Summer, I feel like I should just go with it and gift what I won’t use. Besides, I am really happy to see a purple eyeliner! I rarely get anything but black.
Glad to see that purple eyeliner!! Hoping I get the NYX contour brush since I don’t have any of their brushes, but I’ll use the elf if I end up with it
Not a huge wow factor, but since I’m getting it for $12 (I cancelled and they said I could stay and get August and September for $12) it’s fine by me
I’ll use or easily be able to gift everything so that’s a win in my book!
Haven’t decided if im gonna skip? I have the Elemis balm (its works wonderfully- but its strongly Spa scented so im sure people will complain about that too when they smell it, but i happen like it) I love my MAC and UD purple liners I already have. Thrive is my goto mascara. I think i just talked myself into a skip 😆
I skipped. I loved the last 2 boxes, but the only thing I really care for in this one is the Elemis, and I have an unopened one. Looking forward to October, though.
That face balm is literally my fav and it’s super expensive otherwise. I have been babying the one sample that I got from glossy box a while back. So I’m excited to see it in this box everything else to me as a bonus
You can skip a month. I have a 3 month gift subscription and August wasn’t interesting to me at all. I emailed and asked not to receive it and get September instead and they were great about it. You can call or email but I like to have it in writing.
I got the balm in a glossybox and I really like it. It works better than Clean It Zero imo, only it will sting your eyes if it gets in them and CIZ does not. I have been using the tiniest amount at a time to remove eye makeup only and I use stuff that I don’t like as much to take off my face makeup (looking at you, rando micellar water from Fashionsta)!
So yeah, I would skip otherwise because I have too many mascaras, brushes, and sunscreens as it is, but since I already skipped August I feel bad – so I’ll stick around for the balm 🙂
Cat, I have the yearly sub and did it once already. just send them a email letting them know you want to skip the month and they will respond letting you know it’s done and your next box will be the October box. Make sure you contact them before your ship date.
You email [email protected] or call their customer service line and request them to pause your beauty box for whichever month you’d like to skip. I emailed them just now to pause/cancel my monthly membership and that I’ll resume next month if the products are suitable for me, they won’t mind!
That’s not true lol you can skip. I have an annual subscription so I just emailed [email protected] to ask if I could skip August. They wrote back saying yes and that my next box would be September.

Ugh ugh UGH wander beauty. I really dislike seeing them in beauty boxes. Maybe because they are always there.
I’m excited for the Elemis. And weirdly excited by the purple eyeliner although the company is suspect AF.
Over getting face masks though. It feels like a cop out. I have an entire box full of them now.
