Wicked Good Perfume “Route 66” Review July 2020
A few things to note about these fragrances:
- They are formulated without phthalates, parabens, or petroleum
- These are vegan and cruelty-free and they use sustainable ingredients that are responsibly sourced
- I am not a huge perfume lover because they usually give me headaches, but these unique, handcrafted fragrances do not!
1 of 2 2 of 2 This month’s theme is “Route 66” which is a fun theme! On one side, this card lists the products, the scents they contain, and their retail value, while the back has some information about their box review contest. This month there is a coupon code for 15% off their website which is a nice little bonus!
1 of 3 2 of 3 3 of 3 Root Beer Float Foaming Bath Salts Wow! This really smelled just like a delicious root beer float! I’m not sure how they captured it so perfectly but these foaming bath salts were such a perfect treat! They created a nice foamy layer at the top of my bath and left my skin feeling super soft with a very light scent after I got out. This is a blend of star anise, cinnamon stick, clove bud, root beer, aged rum, and vanilla bean. So yummy!
1 of 2 2 of 2 Old Glory Handmade Soap This small bar of soap while being very pretty is a blend of clover, cypress, juniper berry, and summer rain. I think each half is actually a different scent. I mostly smelled the juniper berry and overall it was a nice clean, herbal scent. I thought it smelled great and left my hands feeling clean with just the faintest earthy scent of cypress.
1 of 2 2 of 2 Get Your Kicks Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL – Listed Value $18.00 This little roller packs a big punch! This blend of lemon peel, ginger extract, and yuzu is so vibrant and really hits your senses. I get a lot of lemon zest with a grapefruit-tang from the yuzu and some of that ginger on the finish. It definitely smells clean and refreshing.
1 of 2 2 of 2 Route 66 Perfume Spray, 1 oz. – Listed Value $29.00 Our perfume spray this month is a blend of bergamot, fresh herbs, golden musk, sweet orange, and key lime. I noticed the tart bergamot and lime scent first. It had a very slight musky yet refreshing finish with subtle notes of the sweet orange. Something in this one really tickled my nose because it was such a sharp scent (only noted when taking huge whiffs for this review!)! This one blended beautifully with the roller for a bright citrus scent. Verdict: This month’s Wicked Good Perfume scents were all great! I loved those bright and vibrant citrus notes from the perfume roller and the spray. The soap was a nice contrast with more of an earthy scent, but my favorite item was definitely those deliciously sweet bath salts that smelled just like a root beer float! This was another fun theme with unique and fabulous scents for just $25.00 (plus free shipping)! Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Order by the 30th to get the July box! Your first Smell Wicked Good box ships within 3-5 business days of your order. Subsequent boxes ship on the 20th of the following month. COUPON: Use code MSA15 to save 15% off your first month. Value Breakdown: At $25.00 for this subscription that gives each of the four items an average value of $6.25. So I really want to subscribe… but I’d prefer to start with the next box, not this one (so it’s more of a surprise). How long should I wait to sign up? I was thinking after the 20th. Thoughts?
This was my first box and for perfume lover’s like me, this sub is a dream. Thank you for introducing it to me! I just wanted to note that if you sub month to month, it’s $29 a month, not $25, but still a steal for what you get.
I took the plunge and subbed to Wicked Good. I’ve literally cancelled every other sub I’ve been getting for so long. I loved getting all the boxes, but Covid-19 really has taken a huge hit on us financially and I realized I truly have more makeup and skincare than I can use in a year, maybe longer, maybe much longer. My home is filled with Knickknacks, my jewelry box is overflowing, and I have a closet full of bags, ponchos, robes, and scarves – all from sub boxes.
However, my one indulgence are perfumes and other good smelling things like bath products, linen sprays, etc. The price of this sub is doable and I think it’ll be a good monthly lift for me.
One day, when my supply dwindles and our finances are back on track, I’m sure I’ll sign up again to FFF, Boxy, Causebox, etc. Until then, I hope Wicked Good is Wicked Awesome for me!
PS- I’ll still be reading about what I’m missing!
Hope everyone is doing okay and staying healthy. Hugs to all!
Looks good!
I used the rollerball this morning for a citrus pick me up. Thanks for reviewing, i subbed last month and love this box.
Oh yay! I’m so glad you like it! 🙂 Enjoy!
I thought this month’s rollerball smelled like ginger ale, which I loved! I didn’t like the spray perfume due to the musk note (but it might work on my husband) and I thought the soap was really pretty and smelled great.
All in all, I was pleased. It would be great if you got to select one or more of your options for the box from a preset list for the month.
I’ll have to see if I detect the ginger ale scent! That would be fun if you got to customize one of your choices! Although I think I would have such a hard time deciding! Lol
I received my first Wicked Good perfume in the scent Sugared Violets in this month’s Vegan Cuts box (.. I think it was in my July VC box). It’s a very sweet cotton candy like scent, which isn’t something I normally go for (I tend to steer away from super sweet scents), but I’ll still wear it. I’m glad I was finally able to try one of their perfumes. 🙂
Ooh that sounds nice! They are definitely becoming more popular in sub boxes, so hopefully you’ll get your hands on another one soon! 🙂
